It was drizzling and cold when we arrived but the outside pool was so warm 34degrees!!! We booked cabins before we left the UK to speed up entry. Lockers are small and changing is public so a cabin is nicer. Several pools inside and out. We ended up doing aquarobics class with locals in one. NOTE; if you go in the sulphur pool (smelly) with silver jewellery on it will turn black!!!Soak in bicarb, boiling water in tin foil to restore it. Take your own towel and flip-flops. 1.5 hours and thoroughly rejuvenated !!! Beautiful buildings too.

The food is not that great, and we finished dinner like less than 2 hours, so the boat ride afterwards was totally boaring. They should open the doors or let the people go out to look at the view. The only thing I appreciated was the transfer from our hotel to the boat. The driver was awesome.
This was an excellent cruise, way above, and far superior than expected. Friendly staff and great music. The boat was really nice and seemed a lot nicer than other ones I’ve seen on Danube! Great value at 10euro including glass of champagne!!
Great way to spend an evening, the boat was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and greeted us as we boarded with a choice of complimentary drinks and escorted us to our table. The food was buffet style with a good choice catering for everyone and well presented. The entertainment was traditional Romanian band and engaged well with everyone on the night. The cruise on the Danube itself was an experience with its beautifully lit up shorelines amazing to see. All in all a must on your list of things to do if you plan visiting Budapest, we will definitely do it again when we return.

The vintners each had their own personalities, were pleasant and engaging. The food and wine was also great. They made us feel at home!

I got everything out of this tour that I expected. Monika was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the city and region. She made sure that even after the tour that we had plenty more planes within the city and beyond.

Pannonia Gastroboat - Hungarian gourmet dinner and cruising by Rupichef
Made to feel very special.
, Jan 2020
Great nite. Made to feel very special. Attention to detail is their strong point. As good as any silver service restaurant I have been too. Food was excellent quality. Not all to my taste but it was a Hungarian gastro so not my normal choice. Highly recommended. .
Would absolutely recommend this boat ride and meal. The 5 course meal was really first class as was the service. The only comment I would make is the trip needed to be a half hour longer as the meal was to rushed, just finishing as we docked.
Experience the best of Hungarian cuisine as you float down the Danube River on a 3-hour dinner cruise. Set aboard a vintage restaurant ship, the evening tour offers unbeatable views of Budapest’s main attractions from the water. With maximum twenty passengers on board the boat, your 5-course meal is sure to be an intimate and memorable one.
We went with the 9pm cruise and had a beautiful view of the city from the water. The crew was very friendly, quick service and decent quality drinks. The boat itself (furniture etc.) seemed a bit old and worn. However, the only major downside was, that there was literally zero info about the sights. Instead, they played music over the speakers the entire ride. We kinda expected something different
Nice cruise, but should have the ability to accommodate all the guests in the heated cabin in winter.
, Jan 2020
The cruise was nice and offered great views of Budapest in the evening. But one point. They could accommodate only a certain number of their guests in the enclosed heated area. Rest had to seat on the open deck. It was a bitterly cold December evening and it was windy as well. Not everyone might like that. Since all their guests pay the same, they should make sure that all have access to the same amenities.
Cruise the Danube River in the evening on a sightseeing cruise through Budapest. With a beverage in hand, take in the famous sights of Budapest along the banks of the river, deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This food tour is a fantastic introduction to Budapest
, Jan 2020
On this afternoon-long, leisurely-paced food tour, we were introduced to Hungarian cheeses, meats, pastries and drinks. We made at least seven stops in the Central Market and the old city. Our guide, Ange, was a gifted hostess. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her knowledge of the local cuisine made each meal even better. When choosing a food tour in Budapest, choose this one.
Our recent trip to Budapest was very enjoyable, connected with a great interesting foodie walking tour, with some great past history, and Quirkey gems of shops and markets, shared with dear family, Our tour guide Peter was so welcoming and helpful.

Budapest Daytime Sightseeing Cruise by Legenda City Cruises
, Jan 2020
Great cruise for the price. Lots of seating, they also give you tea and you can also have wine at the end. One of the young ladies translated in about 9 different languages without skipping a beat, honestly that alone was cool to watch. Great views from all areas.
Good commentary on the upward journey on easy to use headphones attached to the seat in front. It was a very cold day and they give you a nice warm glass of lightly spiced orange drink. Friendly staff. Well worth it to see the city from the river. It takes you right round Margaret Island.

An outstanding tour, and an outstanding guide. The food choices were excellent, and Nick was incredibly informative, not only about the foods, but about the Hungarian people and the history of the country. An excellent way opportunity to get an in depth look at the Hungarian culture. Highly recommended.
Very much enjoyed the walkabout through parts of the city we would not have known to explore. Good variety of food and beverage samples in wide ranging styles of pubs and eateries. Tour guide was well versed and seemed to enjoy herself also. Would recommend!

Private Bratislava Day Trip from Budapest with lunch
Bratislava with Istvan
, Jan 2020
Istvan is a great guide and driver. He picked us up at the hotel on time. Then he provided us with details of our itinerary. Bratislava is more than 2 hours' drive from Budapest and while driving, Istvan told us facts about the Bratislava and Slovakia. We expected a border between Slovakia and Hungary but there wasn't any. The lunch was good; I believe that was the best wiener schnitzel I've ever had. Old Town Bratislava was interesting. Istvan gave us more facts about the town, then gave us free time to roam around the town. We met up with him where he parked the car. We asked him questions about Budapest on the drive back and he answered back. Istvan is very knowledgeable and is a great guide. We highly recommend this tour and hopefully, you also get Istvan as your guide.
If you have a day to spare in Budapest, this is a great option for you to consider. Bratislava may not be as popular as the neibouring capital cities of Prague, Vienna and Budapest but it has its charms. And quirks. And history. Our tour guide, Susan , is fantastic. No problems at all with our booking.
Visit Slovakia’s capital of Bratislava on a private 10-hour tour from Budapest. Journey through northern Hungary by private air-conditioned vehicle and explore the cobbled streets of Bratislava Old Town on a walking tour. See landmarks including Michael’s Gate and Bratislava Castle, and visit the Grassalkovich Palace and Primate’s Palace as you uncover their history. Plus, enjoy a restaurant lunch and free time to shop and sightsee independently. Lunch and hotel pickup and drop-off included.
We met up with Stephen, our guide, at our hotel in the early evening of our first day in Budapest. We had a chat first to get to know one another and we discussed other tours and activities we were going to be doing in the following days. After gifting us with a shot of Unicum (perfect for the cold damp weather we had!), Stephen then proceeded to show us places we wouldn't see otherwise. Among other things, we got to see the sculpture of the Anonymous writer and got awesome pictures of the city and the Danube from the Citadel on the Buda side. Stephen was good natured, friendly and knowledgeable throughout. It was the perfect fun start to our stay in Budapest!
We were picked up from hotel on time. Very personable called Peter who was very knowledgable and made the trip entertaining. As it was December the blankets were very welcome. Only rated it a four instead of a five as wish it could have been longer.
My husband and I absolutely loved our Tuk Tuk tour! Bercy, our guide was amazing! He loves his job and it shows. He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and really fun! He showed us most of the city in a few hours which was a great introduction to a city the size of Budapest. The most fun was zipping around in our Tuk Tuk. What a blast! I want one at home. More cities should have these because parking and moving around is so much easier than a car or larger transport. Definitely do this tour if you have a chance and ask for Bercy! He is the BEST!

Budapest in a Day: Private Luxury Sightseeing Tour
From $474.39 per group
, Oct 2019
Gabrielle gave us a spectacular 6-hour tour of Budapest. We had a car and walking tour which I highly recommend for any future traveler because Budapest is really spread out and it is very difficult to get around to see all the major sites by walking. We also believe 6 hours was the right amount of time. But be careful because if you go in the busy season there is a could be a lot of traffic which could impact how much of the city you can see.
Budapest is full of UNESCO-listed monuments, architectural wonders, and lively markets, but visiting on a group tour means a fixed itinerary and less time to explore. Instead, maximise your time with a private full-day tour by luxury vehicle and tick off attractions such as Buda Castle, Széchenyi Thermal Bath, St Stephen’s Basilica, and the Central Market. Hungarian Wine Tasting (with Cheese and Charcuterie) in Budapest
From $39.75 (Price varies by group size )
Excellent wine tasting.
, Jan 2020
This wine tasting was excellent, we really enjoyed it. We got to taste numerous great Hungarian wines, the knowledge of wine and wine history was excellent with the lady hosting the tasting. Great location and surroundings. I highly recommend this.
Make sure you have a way to get home safely after this
, Nov 2019
I'm not a heavy drinker but you do get 4 generously sized glasses of wine and I was very buzzed after the whole experience. I very much enjoyed the little lecture we had on the different parts of Hungary where each wine is produced. The cheese and meats were delicious too. I do recommend this event to anyone visiting this country.
Get acquainted with Hungary's culinary culture and history with a sommelier as your guide during this afternoon tasting experience. Sip five top local wines, paired with fresh bread, Hungarian cheese, and charcuterie.
Stephen the Tall Man arrived to pick us up for our last evening in the beautiful city. We were given a narrated city tour of parts of the city we hadn't yet seen and then taken to a wonderful little restaurant for dinner and a show. It couldn't have been better. To top it off, he drove us back and stopped at several other beautiful spots for pictures. The last stop, at the lit Parliament, which was breathtaking enough, was made even better by the timing of the fireworks display. He was so knowledgeable, charming, and kind to us, I can't say enough. Wonderful tour. Well done, Stephen the Tall Man
We had Stephen as our guide who went beyond our expectations. He took us to the Citadel lookout before going to the restaurant for dinner. As After dinner he took us to take photos at all the sights that were lit up including parliament house, fisherman's bastion, etc. Best tour ever. Thank you Stephen
