We loved every stop of this tour. Our guide was extremely personable and made everyone feel very welcome in our group of 10. That takes special talent. We learned a lot in a short period of time (all while eating and drinking delicious treats) about everything from the cuts of meats to the process for making and labeling wines, cheeses, and balsamic vinegars. If you leave this tour without a full stomach and a bit of a wine high, that's you're own fault. What a wonderful way to spend a night in Rome.
We only wish that we had taken this tour sooner in our trip!
Combine food, wine, and history in one half-day walking tour in the center of Rome. Learn about Italian wine at a rooftop bar overlooking the Trevi Fountain and enjoy seven tastings including Barolo and Amarone. Taste a variety of Italian meats and cheeses at Antica Salumeria and explore the Pantheon, one of Rome’s most famous historical buildings.
Eat, drink and repeat: Wine tasting tour in Venice
What a Blast!
, Jan 2020
This was without a doubt the highlight of our whole trip to Venice. Anna was easygoing, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the Venetian pub experience. Every place we stopped was unique, and every drink was paired with something delicious and unexpected. We were completely full (and merry) by the end. My husband and I won't hesitate to do this tour again next time we're in Venice.
I'm a solo traveller so wasn't sure what to expect from the tour. There were others on their own, couples and families - a real mix, from Australia, the UK, Italy, the USA and others. All like-minded people with a thirst for discovering the real Venice.
We were not disappointed! The tour was diverse, with lots of stops at different apertivo and ciccheti joints, hidden away from the usual crowded squares.
The tour guide Anna was brilliant. It didn't feel like organised fun, but rather an old friend showing you around their city and getting to meet a whole bunch of new friends at the same time! The food was enough for an evening meal, extremely tasty and authentic, not just nibbles. Very educational, interesting and fun!
I don't eat seafood and it was no hassle, there were lots of alternatives and I feel lucky to have tried some different things.
There are other choices for those who don't drink alcohol and everyone was catered for, but that did mean spare wine for me! Hurrah!
Thank you. Highly recommended.
This was a good way to get out and go to great little bars with unique ‘small bites’ provided. The value was incredible and I totally recommend. Meeting people from different parts of the world was great fun and everybody was willing to chat and laugh. 8 people in total.
Venice is more than an open-air museum, it’s also a world-renowned gastronomy hub. Discover the full-flavored wines of Veneto during this insider’s wine crawl, which features six different labels in six different bars or restaurants. Enjoy tasty food pairings along the way from fresh regional ingredients, as you learn how to eat—and more importantly, drink—like a true Venetian local.
Small-Group Wine Tasting Experience in the Tuscan Countryside
Most memorable and fun part of our trip!
, Jan 2020
Wine tasting in Tuscany is a must! Our tour guide, bus driver was so knowledge about wine and Chianti that when we arrived at the first winery we had an excellent basis to taste and compare our first wines. We went to two wineries. Both were picturesque. We sampled wines, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, meats, cheeses, and crackers. It was so much more than we expected - just delightful! Not only did we enjoy our day, but we learned so much about wine, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Kudos to Stefano, our tour guide.
We enjoyed this tour to two wineries. There was a good sampling of wine at each, although the food could have been a bit more substantial given the generous pours of wine! A nicely sized group. Gorgeous views! Make sure you know exactly where to meet the bus as it wasn't where Google Maps originally indicated, its a bit behind the train station.

A must do if in Rome! Not only was Julia a great guide - friendly, informative and great company - but the selection of food and wine was amazing! Also, if you have limited time in Rome, this is perfect! Four hours to see main tourist sites and enjoy great food, wine and beer? GREAT IDEA! Would recommend and actually would do it again!

Roman countryside Food & Wine Tasting in a medieval winery
, Jan 2020
This tour was amazing. Christian, who was the sommelier for the winery, was very engaging and full of interesting information about the property and the wine we were tasting. Paola was also great! We had so much fun on the trip there and back. She helped make the experience unforgettable. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!
We ended up being the only ones on the tour and it was magnificent!! We met with the driver and had a very pleasant drive up to the vineyards without any complications. Christian, our wonderful host and wine master was incredibly knowledgeable about his wines and made us feel like family. The food was absolutely delicious and some of the best we had while In Rome. The wine was also incredibly delightful, full of great flavors and aromas and paired nicely with each dish that was presented to us. We even ending up bringing a couple bottles home with us ! We would most definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable experience with great company, food and wine!
Thank you! Jon and Jordan

Taste of Chianti: Tuscan Cheese, Wine and Lunch from Florence
, Dec 2019
Our Guide Martina was exceptionally knowledgeable and very pleasant. From the meeting point to the location to get into the vehicle was a lengthily walk which was not expected but was manageable. Considering the size of the vehicle and the roads are so narrow it's completely understandable. The experience was great and I would recommend it. Cant wait to use our olive oil.
This was a fantastic tour. Mar tut ina was very informative and very accommodating to me. I wasn't as fast a walker as everyone else but she was kind. It was a wonderful day. We would reccomend this tour to everyone. A day very well spent

Davide is awesome. My sister and I were the only ones there on this night. He did not just go over the recipe but talked a bit about where the ingredients came from. We had a great time. A very nice person and a great time. Absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We came back the next day and ate lunch at the restaurant. In a more populated area - there were no tourists. That’s saying something.
Foodies will love the chance to learn to make some favorite Italian dishes, including pasta from scratch, ravioli, and tiramisu. Immerse yourself in Italian culture through its food, and learn more than you would just eating these dishes at a restaurant. The class takes place at a local restaurant, so you can get a behind-the-scenes look at how Italian restaurants run. Every participant gets their own work station and will sit down at the communal table to eat their delicious creations afterward.
From Florence: Small-Group Tuscany Wine & Oil Tour with typical Tuscan Meal
, Feb 2020
We were really looking forward to our tour but were severely disappointed. Our driver was prompt and the car was comfortable. Our first winery visit owner was very sweet and friendly and did her best but it was clear that we were guinea pigs to test if this was a good spot because our driver/tour guide was taking pictures the entire time as it was her first time there. The entire tour was spent telling us about the winery owner‘s family. The location was beautiful but definitely not as advertised. The second stop was also severely disappointing – it was not really a tour of an olive oil mill operation, it was a closed down warehouse with a bottle of olive oil on a stool for us to take a sip of and the driver popped in a video we could have looked up on you tube. The last winery was completely cut out without telling us and we were just taken to lunch, the lunch was fantastic and the Villa owner where we had lunch was very very welcoming. During lunch our tour guide was taking selfies and drinking wine even though she was supposed to be driving us back.Definitely not worth the money and very disappointing to have an experience like this through Viator . We have used them before and have never received such a miss matched experience. I believe the experience depends on the driver/tour guide and ours was definitely far below expectations. Her name was Veronica.
The guides Marta and Claudia were great and explained all the history behind wine and olive oil making clearly.
We were a small group of 6 in one van. Everyone was friendly and the wine tasting was amazing.
If you are looking for a quick escape from florence into the countryside with lots of wine to drink, this is highly recommended.

Small Group Chianti at Sunset Wine Tasting Tour from Florence
, Feb 2020
We highly recommend this tour. Filamina was our tour guide. She was very personable, fun, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the winery tour, and our stop in the village. We learned a lot, and sampled wonderful wines, olive oils, cheeses, and bread. We will definitely do this tour, on our next trip to Florence.
This trip was an amazing way to travel the Tuscany area with special attention to the small towns and small husband and wife vineyard. The tour guide was excellent and patient with the small group. I highly recommend this venue
Lose yourself in the luscious scenery and flavors of Italy’s most famous wine region on this half-day sunset tour of Chianti. Sip the wines and enjoy a typical Tuscan snack as the landscape is washed in the golden hues of sunset.
Everything was wonderful from start to finish. We had a small group of 5. Each place we visited was stunning. The first winery was a tasting of 5 different proseccos. It was picture perfect. Then we went to the top of a hill to see views on the area. Lunch at the osteria was delicious. There was so much food and more wine and prosecco! The final winery was great too. Carlo was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the area as he lived there. He was very nice and patient with all of us. So many wonderful memories. I would do it all over again!
Carlo was a very entertaining and generous guide. The highlight of the tour was eating an incredible lunch at his family's restaurant. I have never experienced such a large variety of authentically prepared food. We also met Carlo's family (we were a small group of seven, and probably the only 'outsiders' in this quaint family restaurant). Tour included tasting different varieties of Prosecco wine while visiting wineries & vineyards that were nestled between the 'hills' and Dolemite mountains. Truly a memorable experience!
Carlos led us through a wonderful day!! He shared the amazing views, wonderful Prosecco and fabulous food of the region with us. He was information and knowledgeable about the region and the wine. The day was exactly as described. We would definately do another tour!

Small group tour
, Feb 2020
Christina was our guide, and she was amazing. Super knowledgeable and since it was the low season, it was only our small group. She made it personable and fun. Amazing, amazing lunch with a great wine tasting at the end. One of our highlights of our trip
Our tour guide Claudio and driver Artur were so kind, attentive, and did everything to make this day so enjoyable for us. Loved the town of Siena and San Gimignano. Claudio was very patient and let me browse in some stores in each place. The lunch at the winery was fantastic and so was the wine. The staff at the winery makes you feel like Royalty. Highly recommend this tour when in Rome.

The tour is well thought out--just the right time at each stop, some free time, gorgeous towns and scenery, excellent information. And the meal was far, far above our expectations, in a gorgeous old farmhouse with some of the most excellent we had in our entire 6 days in Italy. Our guide, Antonina, was lovely, witty, and generous. My kids aged 22, 20 and 17 all loved it too.

Tuscan Castle and Cellars Small Group Tour with Pasta Making Class +Wine Tasting
The perfect Tuscan food experience
, Jan 2020
The one thing my husband & I wanted to do while in Italy was take a cooking class that was something more than make pizza. I am so glad that we signed up for this experience. There was excellent communication from the hospitality manager, coordinating food restrictions, travel details to the property and anything else that might be needed. As soon as we were picked up, we were treated more like old friends than tourists. Our host Lorenzo was educational. charming, and fun. His knowledge of the estate and the Chianti region is vast and he is able to share it in an easygoing manner. It is so obvious that he loves what he is doing, you will be in very good hands with him. After a tour of the castle and wine cellars, we were taken into the kitchen to begin our cooking class. I consider myself to be fairly good in the kitchen and learned so much while we were there. The cooking experience was very hands on, with everyone involved in various steps of making your dinner for the night. Once we were finished, Lorenzo took us back into the dining room of the castle to enjoy our meal and to sample wine pairings with each course. The wine is outstanding and works perfectly with each course. Lorenzo gave us short tutorials on each of the wines through out the evening and at the end of the night took us into the shop to be able to purchase wine and olive oil. (their olive oil is like nothing you have ever tasted or smelled. If you do nothing else, take home a few bottles of this) The only bad part was that the evening had to end. We would repeat this experience again whenever we make it back to Florence. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip.
Costanza was a great tour guide and host. We started with a tour of the castle including the wine cellar and the olive oil cellar. They showed us how they make their wine and their olive oil using terra cotta pots. After the castle tour we had our cooking class in the castle kitchen. Jerry was the chef that taught us how to make Crostino with Olives, vegetarian sauce with homemade pasta, Chicken with Vin Santo, and Florentine cake. It was a fun time with everyone getting involved with making the meal. Jerry was patient as he taught us how to make everything and used the largest rolling pin we have every seen to make the pasta. We had wine tasting that went with the meal we made. The food was great and tasty.
Visit a 900-year-old Tuscan castle, where you can learn how to make pasta and taste wine from the historic cellars, on this half-day tour. With a small group, eat a lunch of pasta you made by hand and taste three wines. After lunch, enjoy free time to explore the vineyards and wander the castle's grounds.
Semi Private Dinner near the Pantheon, Wine Pairing and Visit to Ancient Cellar
Perfect for First Timers in Rome
, Jan 2020
Excellent experience. Daniela was very knowledgeable about both food and the area. It was a great way to start off the week in Rome with insider information on where to eat and what to see. Would recommend this experience to anyone.
This was a wonderful evening! Martina, our guide, was fabulous. She made everyone feel as if they were "home". We were 8 people in all (including Martina). The food was absolutely delicious, and the pairings were great as well. I very highly recommend this.
had a great time in Rome. The wine tasting was great as was the excellent dinner. The host was a lot of fun and made it an enjoyable night. I also met a family on the tour who were great fun. The whole evening was amazing. would do it again.

Wonderful time with caring and knowledgeable hostess
, Oct 2019
We had a wonderful evening during this tour. Lots of courses and great food and along with a history lesson.
We would highly recommend you ask for Gulia to be your guide as she puts in a lot effort and love in the trip.
This was a very well done tour if you are looking for a General Food tour and some quick highlights of the Jewish ghetto. I assumed this was a food tour inside the Jewish ghetto where there are many restaurants. We only stopped at 1 restaurant inside the ghetto. Our guide was a fantastic & knowledge art historian. So if your looking for a general food tour- this was very good. If your looking for a Food tour inside the Jewish ghetto- this is not it!
Immerse yourself in the flavors of the ‘Eternal City’ on a half-day tour through Rome’s iconic foods and wine. Visit a series of local restaurants in Campo Marzio and the Jewish Ghetto for tastings that range from fish and meat to pizza, pasta, and desserts served alongside Italian wines. Take in the city’s historic sites as you go, with time to explore classic piazzas, ancient Roman sites, temples, and a synagogue. Finish your tour with inside tips on the best places to eat, drink and explore in Rome.
My daughter and I had so much fun on this tour. We loved our guide, Elena, and her quirky sense of humor. She explained all about Chianti country and the different kinds of wines, and even pointed out the interesting sights during our bus ride.
Both vineyards we visited were very scenic and the presenters informative. We sampled 3 or 4 wines as well as olive oil at each. The samples were small but reasonable, so you shouldn't get drunk off them. Our only real criticism was that the meat and cheese snacks provided were too sparse for our large group. Luckily, we ordered the medium meat and cheese platter from the butcher shop in Greve, which turned out to be one of our most memorable meals in Italy.
Both vineyards rely on direct purchases and will ship to your home. The first was very reasonably priced, the second offered more premium priced products. All of them were very good in our opinion.
If your plan is to get drunk, you probably either want one of the more expensive wine tours, or supplement your intake in Greve. If you're looking for a fabulous afternoon of wine tasting, scenery, and fun, I highly recommend this tour.
If I could spend everyday doing the Wine Tour I would without a doubt. This was the highlight of my Italian trip and if I could spend just a week alone in the Chianti region I could die happy. Each winery was beautiful with amazing products and as an added bonus we spent about an hour in a lovely nearby small town. The transportation was wonderful and our tour guide was full of helpful information. 10/10 would fly across the country this minute to do this tour again.
Experience the true flavor of the Tuscan countryside on this Chianti wine tour from Florence. Led by a professional tour escort, the tour includes visits local wineries set in scenic villages. Pleasure your palate with fine Italian wines during a 2-hour wine tasting session in Milan. Guided by a professional sommelier, you’ll sample four wine varietals — including red, white, and sparkling — while learning about their origin and manufacture. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase some of your favorite wines in the gift shop after the session.
This was an amazing wine tasting! Sylvia was an excellent hostess and very knowledgeable about the wines! It far surpassed my trips to Napa and Sonoma wine tastings. We will be back in March to Italy and will be back for another tasting!
We were from Texas and Sylvia let us know her father attended The University of Texas in Austin.
Thank you from Janie and Amanda Bull and Pam Jones!!
It was a great experience because it is family run business, small and intimate. You can see the hard and dedicated work the family did and pride that they have. The location is beautiful and place where they store the wine is amazing the way they dug out the tunnel to store the barrels. The wine is top notch. If you are looking for wine tasting visit Domaso you will enjoy every minute.
Absolutely stunning location, wonderful family and fun event
, Oct 2019
Our family of 3 were taken aback by the beauty of this winery. It's located at the very northern end of the lake where you can almost touch the Alps. Take the hydro to get there and enjoy the beautiful views of a different area than the main lakes.
Come hungry too. We were fed an amazing lunch fresh from the area with touches like homemade jam and accompanied by the wonderful wines. Got a personal tour of the facilities and enjoyed learning about the family and their plight to pioneer wine for sale in this region. Kudos to all!
Highly recommend the trip, just sit back, relax and enjoy!
Visit a villa winery in Domaso on Lake Como, and experience an authentic Italian family-run wine estate that’s been nurtured through the generations. Ideal if you’re looking for a Lake Como experience with a difference, the visit includes a tour of the wine cellar followed by an extravagant tasting session. You’ll savor local specialities that have been carefully chosen to complement the wine as you learn about viticulture in the northern Italian region.
We've done wine tastings all of the world and this one was OK. The three wines were a white that was not well loved by the 6 guests, a rose and a red. I would have preferred 2 whites and 2 reds and skip the rose. Plenty of food to try with the tastings but only 1 that went with red wine. Our host was knowledgeable, but didn't get to know us past the fact that we are all Americans. Then she left without waiting for us to finish our wine/food and conversations so we could tip her, which we were ready to do. Company was pleasant and location by the Colosseum was convenient, but I've like other wine tastings better.
Enjoy the culinary delights of Italy during a wine and cheese tasting in Rome. At a wine bar located in Rome’s historical center, near the Colosseum, you’ll learn about the local cuisine as you sip red and white wine and snack on cheese and cured meats. Discuss the food and wine with a knowledgeable guide, who tells you about the differences between varieties. It’s a great pre-dinner activity in the Eternal City.
Self-Drive Vintage Fiat 500 Tour from Florence: Tuscan Wine Experience
Backroads of Tuscany in classic Fiat 500 cars.
, Jan 2020
This tour was the highlight of our visit to Italy - it was fantastic. Mattia our guide was personable, funny and informative. He knew just where to go to get great scenic views in a relaxing way that gave us great exposure to Tuscany. The tour itself made us feel like we were part of the Tuscan community, driving through small towns and roads, etc. The pace of the tour was relaxing, with a couple of stops to allow us to get out, appreciate the surroundings, get some pictures and take in the surroundings. The wine tasting at the end of the tour at the villa was also excellent and exposed us to some incredible Chianti, Super Tuscan and White wines from the region. These Fiat 500 cars are standard transmission, so if you are not able to drive a standard and manipulate the clutch, this tour is not for you. Otherwise - this is a don't miss and we will take the tour again next time we are in Florence.
We had so much fun, what a great experience! Would recommend it to anyone who wants to get out of the city of Florence and see the country side!! The guides made the trip so much fun, and we got some pictures that look like they were professionally taken!!
Experience the best that Italy has to offer with this excursion that combines wine tasting and a Fiat 500 tour. Departing from Florence, hop behind the wheel of a gorgeous 1960s model and journey into the Tuscan hills with your convoy. Then, park your classic ride at a 15th-century wine estate and villa.
Florence Wine Tasting Experience with Early Dinner
Wine Tasting Dinner
, Oct 2019
This experience far exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was quaint, yet modern. Our sommelier, Marco, was outstanding. He had a great sense of humor and was filled with local knowledge to help make this an unique learning experience. The food was outstanding too! We would definitely recommend this experience to others.
While the food was great; salumi and lasagna, I really felt like theses guys were pushing the sale of their private label wines. We had a lot of fun with the other couple there, but I would not recommend this.
Our Sommelier, Marco, was fantastic! He did an amazing job of describing the wines, what they would go with, etc. He was friendly and energetic. The food prepared at Tino's that he served was wonderful (multiple courses). The lasagna was very different than American lasagna, but fantastic. I would definitely recommend this experience. I would even do it again.
Escape the crowds with this wine-tasting experience in Florence. In a cozy, family-run bar, learn about Tuscan wines and wine culture as you sip several different types of wine while enjoy a delicious meal.

We really enjoyed the tour. The guide was energetic, knowledgeable and a great driver. We felt very safe. The vineyard selection was super and the lunch at the winemakers home was an experience we will never forget...great food, wine and conversation. Thank you for a great experience.
