Description of the tour said it was approximately 16 hours. It was 21! Very long day but worth it to see Petra. Sorry we didn't have time to spend 2 or 3 days in Petra because there is just so much to see there. We didn't have "lunch" until 5:00 p.m. and the meal was disappointing. Felt like the guide was rushing us all the time. I give Petra 5 stars in the guide 3 stars which is why my overall review is for stars.
The bus in Jordan was old and in poor condition. It broke down on way to Petra in the middle of no where. The guide got a replacement in only an hour and a quarter. He did an amazing job in my opinion. We were late and lost sometime in Petra but it ended up okay instead of a disaster.
I would rate our experience a 2 or 3 out of five.

Great Energy! Amazing Tour - beyond what I imagined!
, Dec 2019
This tour was AMAZING and so worth the money and time!! Zahi Shaked was very fun, passionate, energetic, and knowledgeable. He loves to share history and elaborate on facts so we can easily understand and connect the dots. Zahi’s tour showed us so much about Israel in general, and allowed us to see much more than we ever imagined! There were three stops; one for morning coffee; one to the market; and one for a yummy lunch buffet. The staff at the market were very nice and were never pushy. We had lunch in between the two cities (perfect timing!). The walking tours involved many places we didn’t imagine we would visit. Even with the rain we had an amazing day. Thank you Zahi, and thank you to our bus driver for safe travels throughout the day! I highly recommend this tour with Zahi!
Extremely well organized tour operator, great tour guide and simply fascinating tour. Our guide, itamar buk, was very knowledgeable, engaging and most importantly kept the tour focused, organized and moving. Top tour

Next, the site of Qumran, where there will be time to explore the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, or enjoy free time for lunch.
Finally, visit the Dead Sea, where you’ll enjoy the facilities of the beach and have the opportunity to float in the waters, immerse in the muds, and enjoy the climate that makes this journey so special.
Driver was on time , very new van, and guide was very good!! He gave us very good explanations about Jerusalem, lot of Historical knowledge and very nice person. Even the restaurant he took us was a very pleasant place. I really reccomend this tour. The only negative point is we need more time to see the sights, but I guess due to time limit this is not really feasible.
Itimar and the team provided an excellent Tour. We learned so much of the culture and diversity of Jerusalem and Israel in general. So much information, it was difficult to absorb it all (triggered many Google searches since) and so many sights seen. The pace was perfect, allowing time to study each place and listen to Itimar give the history. We can just say - superb, and thank you.
Best option for a Jerusalem day trip, with a small group
, Dec 2019
I really enjoyed this Jerusalem boutique tour, for several reasons. First of all, we were only 10 people, not 20 to 40 as I've seen most other tour options have. Second, because it started at a normal hour, at 9AM, not at 7, which would mean we'd all be pretty tired (and hungry too, unless you enjoy breakfast at 6AM). And third, the fact that it was the right amount of attractions and in particular, that it included visiting Temple Mountain, which not all tours include. Simon was a great guide, loved his openness and his go-to DIY map he was rolling out for us for historical understanding purposes. And clearly being passionate about these places and what they signify. I also find it a nice touch when a guide has initiatives like getting snacks for guests, while waiting in line somewhere, or when he/she always thinks ahead in accommodating everyone for bathroom stops, like Shimon did. I booked this literally the night before the tour, as a solo traveler, and all details were ready for me in no time. So glad I did!
Explore the Old City of Jerusalem and learn about the important historical and religious sites along the way on a guided day trip from Tel Aviv. Traveling on this small-group tour ensures an intimate experience not found on the common 40-person tours of Jerusalem. Plus, this tour allows you to bring your luggage along, so the tour can double as a transfer from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Our guide, George, was absolutely incredible - highly knowledgable about the history and culture, really thoughtful in helping us experience day-to-day life, and, let's be honest, herding 33 humans can be way more painful than he made it seem. He was also super open to answering all our questions ... we learned more in 8 hours than we have in all our years of schooling, and definitely more than mainstream media cares to share. Plus - lots of historic sites, a yummy home-cooked meal, and the Banksy hotel!
Enjoyed since minute one this trip. I was very interested in the West bank situation, and walking around with our guide around Ramallah was the best experience ... He explained quite well all the situation in Palestine, their way of leaving and how they organise their daily life.... Lunch in a Palestinian house was a highlight.
Don't doubt it, this full day trip is perfect to combine with the typical trip to Israel.
Witness the world of the West Bank and explore its history and culture on this full-day guided tour from Jerusalem. See where Jesus was born in Bethlehem and where he was baptized in the Jordan River. Visit the town of Ramallah and see the tomb of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. Stop at Jericho to see the oldest city in the world.
Guided Tour of Jerusalem: The Biblical City of David
, Jan 2020
“The Biblical City of David” was a 3-hour Viator sponsored morning tour booked in advance. The meeting place (and in fact the entire tour) was just south of the Old City near the Dung Gate. Starting with a brief film, our guide Yosie told us the area predates the current Old City to the north by hundreds of years - back to the 10th century BC. It too was a walled city of roughly 11 acres, oblong shaped, spread across a small hill and surrounded on both sides by steep valleys. There have been extensive excavations the past 20+ years.
During peak tourist times each tour is packed to capacity of 30. Ours had only 6. The archaeology was fascinating but the highlight for most visitors is the opportunity to walk through one of the tunnels . . . either the short dry tunnel which conducted water until another had been dug to divert it . . . or the tunnel that was later dug to divert the water for easier access and which remains partially flooded to this day. Winter is rainy season in Jerusalem and the water is deeper than in summer. The other 4 on our tour chose the water tunnel despite air temperatures in the 50’s, water up to their knees and about 10 minutes of continuous bending beneath the low ceiling. It also was unlit so flashlights or headlamps were a necessity. During peak tourist times, it is filled with a continuous progression of adults and children shrieking and splashing from one end to the other. The dry tunnel is shorter, well-lit and far easier to pass through. We opted for that (we're in our 70's) and were glad. My only regret is that we went the day after arriving and were still tired from a 14-hr flight. This was an excellent tour and a great experience. Highly recommend it.
Interesting and informative tour. Unfortunately we were unable to go to the water tunnel because of high level of cold water. And no special footwear was available as posted on the site. But we went through dry tunnel and felt breath of ancient times! Still very good and interesting tour. Special thanks to our guide!
We booked this tour as part of a family (two parent and three teenagers) trip around Israel. It turned out to be one of the main highlights, not just of our days in Jerusalem but of the whole holiday itself. Our guide was a wonderful gentleman from Brooklyn USA, who was extremely knowledgeable and helped bring David's old city to life. He was also very engaging and involved several members of our group in a humorous manner as we went around. The tour helps give background and context to various events in the Old Testament, finishing with a walk through Hezekiah's tunnel which really isn't to be missed. The pace was relaxed with multiple stops so accessible for most ages. Would thoroughly recommend.
Go deep into Jerusalem’s biblical history with this tour of the City of David, a 3,800-year old site that’s outside the old city walls. See the First Temple homes at the Royal Acropolis, and visit the Citadel that protected Gihon Spring, Jerusalem’s main water source. Take an adventurous walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel, then visit the Givati Excavation, where digging underneath a modern parking lot has revealed golden coins, a queen’s palace and Roman amphorae.
Sami was great!!! He drove very smoothly and was even nice enough to drive elder women in our group to a site in which every one else walked. Thank you Sami for letting us get warm in the shuttle in between locations!

This was by far the best tour I've ever been on. The guides were super lovely and kept giving us falafel, breads, sweets and we even got some lunch (which we didn't think was part of the tour!). The Palestinian people were very friendly and it was a true privilege to see the 'other side' of the wall. The tour itinerary was good too, taking in the main sights of Bethlehem.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic cultural experience. The tour guides were informative, welcoming, nice, and funny. We covered everything on the itinerary and more. We were able to try local foods and drinks. We also stopped to see some of Banksy's famous murals, which was great. A great way to spend the day!

The tour met at the Jaffa Gate in Old Jerusalem. It was very easy to find the tour guide. We drove by bus to the top of the Mount of Olives and then walked down a steep hill to the bottom. The road down the hill had rails so it was safe to walk down it if you needed the rails. On the tour, we visited various religious sites and also enjoyed the views of the Old City. Great trip to Masada and Dead Sea. We have managed to float in Dead Sea despite winter temperatures. Our guide Drora was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would have preferred for lunch to be included in the price. Also, personally would have preferred to stop at En Gedi to visit Dead Sea.
I agree with other reviewers that the pickup and shuffling onto the right buses was a little chaotic, and that the stop at the Ahava factory store was unnecessary. However, I loved this day. Our guide, Ruben, did a very good job. We got a good feel for Masada, and it was enough time at the Dead Sea, perhaps because the weather was not great. We did go in the water, though, and it was a really good experience. This was totally worth it, and I would do it or another tour from this company again.
Combine a Masada tour and Dead Sea trip into one memorable full-day tour from Jerusalem. Travel through the Judean desert by air-conditioned coach and pass the site of the famous New Testament parable of the Good Samaritan. Arrive at Masada and ride the cable car to the legendary mountaintop ruins of King Herod’s palaces. After a guided tour, drive to the Dead Sea. Relish the surreal Dead Sea floating experience and choose to take a therapeutic mud bath. Then, return to Jerusalem, passing the ancient city of Jericho on route.
Had a great tour with Ben on Sunday - very informative, unbiased, and entertaining. We didn't have to wait long to get in to any of the sites, and we were able to spend as much time as possible on the temple Mount. I never would have imagined being able to see all three religious sites in a single day, let alone in just a few hours! The tour was organized really well. Ben kept track of everyone in the crowds and even helped carry our stroller/two-year-old through the old city. Was easy to find the meeting point at Jaffa Gate, and an easy trip from Tel Aviv by train. Highly recommend!

The booking agent put us in the wrong tour group, so we missed the whole moring part of Masada. There are a lot of similar tours, you can easily found a substitution and probably with better organizing.
