Everest base camp helicopter landing group flight tour with breakfast at Everest
Trip of a lifetime
, Feb 2020
Great trip from start to finish. Priceless experience and perfectly organized by Buddhi, the tour operator. Picked me up at the hotel and went out of his way to even give me a ride to the airport after the trip (from the hotel). Book with these guys - you're in good hands.
Amazing heli flight through the Himalayas with landing at 5470m high just in front of Mount Everest ... an incredible experience to remember. I surely recommend it as a unique experience when visiting the Nepal.
Soar across the Himalayas on a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Mount Everest Base Camp, touching down for an optional breakfast at a hotel with spectacular mountain vistas. Along the way, you’ll get aerial views of glaciers, camps, mountaineering routes on the world’s highest mountain. A stop to refuel at Lukla offers a glimpse of the mountain town where trekkers set out for Mount Everest.
I was a bit disappointed with the flight. First, the flight, Buddha Air 600 was delayed by one hour and took off at 7:30am, instead of the schedule of 6:30am. Weather was perfect so this wasn’t the cause of the delay. We only boarded the bus for the plane at 7am after waiting inside the terminal for more than an hour. However, instead of bringing us to our plane, we were kept inside the bus until 7:15am. I could see the plane we used was being repositioned as well as other planes around it. Meantime, no explanation was being given as to the cause of the delay. The sad part was instead watching the beautiful sun rising over the Himalayas as advertised, we watched it inside the airport terminal due to the delayed flight. The flight took only 45 minutes instead of the 1 hour mentioned in brochures. As soon as the plane caught sight of the Everest peak, the pilot started turning the plane back to Kathmandu. Finally, the pictures shown in ads makes it appear the plane flies over the Himalayas. In reality, the plane flies above green mountains where the various Himalayas mountain peaks can be viewed.
I was to late to go with My Group it was 15.00 hours I was so upset it was a Bank Holiday in Nepal Travel Agent's closed , I just went on line and Viator came up a Name I knew ,so I booked it Pick up and drop off from My Hotel , Dilip imkhada the Driver came right on time Everything from then on was just Perfect The Weather was so clear up in the clouds Thank You Viator
Our flight was canceled twice due to normal weather conditions experienced in September. Most times we were taken care of with five star treatment from the hotel and returning to the hotel. Our mountain flight schedule with Sheehan airllines operate a regional jet allowing us to get above the clouds which many of the smaller sightseeing planes were not able to do. We had 15 passengers on the regional jet and we’re allowed to move from side to side and spend as much time in the cockpit as we wanted.
Not many people can claim to have reached the top of Mount Everest. During this exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime flight from Kathmandu, soar over the Eastern Himalayas, getting a bird’s eye panorama of the world’s tallest—and most legendary—mountain chain, including Everest. Enjoy the magic of the world-famous summit without the struggle to make it to the top. Tours include private hotel pickup and drop-off and a celebratory glass of sparkling wine.
This day trip was the very first thing we did
when we arrived in Nepal, and it was one of the very best things we did. Yes - it was a very early start but watching the sunrise was spectacular!
After watching the sunrise we stopped for breakfast (very yummy) and then had a short hike across the countryside which was very pleasant indeed! Our guide and driver were exceptional - so knowledgeable- so friendly. Cannot recommend this highly enough!
First and foremost if you book this tour expect a high chance of not seeing the sunrise or even the mountain range. My guide told me that (mid-October) out of the 4 days he did the sunrise tour only 1 of those days was clear enough for a view. I did not set all of my expectations on the sunrise and view so I was not too disappointed. The trip started with the driver and my guide (Madan) picked me up at my hotel at 4:20am. We took a very bumpy ride to Nagarkot (don't expect to nap on the way there!) and arrived about 20-30 minutes before sunrise. As it was foggy, we went into the village and had breakfast (not included in the booking). Madan was nice enough to lend me cash since I didn't have any on me at the time. I paid him back at the end of the day. After breakfast and Madan and the driver took a smoke break, we started the walk. If you're a fast walker, it could take 1.5 hours but if you top and take your time like me to take photos and chat with Madan it could take 2.5-3 hours. I was expecting a hike through a small trail but actually we just walked through the villages the whole time. You get to see how people like in the hills, children going to school, and lots of farm animals! We also stopped at a recently build Buddhist monument with a great view of the hills and valley and afterwards a Hindu temple before meeting up with the driver. Madan and I had some great discussion and he answered all of my questions and was easy to understand. The driver then took us a few kilometers to a more touristic town (Madan paid for the entrance) with Hindu temples. The drive was beautiful and the driver was kind enough to stop when I was taking my photos! If we had more time, you could stop and buy some things but we were all a bit tired at the end so we did not stay long there before heading back to a lot of traffic jams in Kathmandu. They were also kind enough to drop me off near Thamel instead of my hotel when I asked. Overall I would recommend this tour or the tour without the sunrise (if you want a bit more sleep) if you are looking for experience to see how people in the hills live and want to get out of the busy capital for a day. The hike is also very easy!
Discover Nepal's scenery and culture during a leisurely hiking tour that includes an early morning arrival in Nagarkot for the sunrise. Watch the distant Himalayas catch the morning light, then take a hike to reach Changu Narayan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pass through Brahmin, Tamang, and Newari villages along the way, and stop to purchase breakfast and lunch at small restaurants for an authentic local experience. Way to see Nepal in one day, comfortably
, Dec 2019
Our guide Shanti Karki arrived sharp at 7 am to pick the two of us up at our hotel with a nice clean car and a driver. She was polite, professional, knowledgeable and caring. She would tell us about the history of all the sites we visited, caution us about things to watch out for, answer all our questions. She did all this with a smile and caring friendliness. We had only one day in Kathmandu and this was probably the best way to see all the important sites and learn about them. The car was comfortable and clean and we could rest and take short naps while being driven from one site to another.

, Nov 2019
I had a really good day hiking. A young very enthusiastic guide who made his best. The hiking itself was not too exhausting but merely roads and paths. Not much nature. The view from the start over The Himalayas were breathtaking this day. Cristal clear and ...will remember it for long.
It was a great experience in beautiful surroundings. Our guide Krishna was very concerned about us and explained a lot about the life of humans and nature. We were more than satisfied. Big praise to the safe driver too
Short stay in Kathmandu between business meetings and took a day to trek outside the city. Wonderful nature views and local culture experience as we walked through the mountains and villages. Highly recommended if you have a short stay in Kathmandu and want to see day-to-day life in Nepal.

This tour was a hiking tour which was very interesting in several aspects. We visited temples and especially villages outside Kathmandu. It was a great experience to see the local people doing their daily things and at the same time doing a refreshing hiking with an informative conversation with the guide. I learned a lot about the Napelese culture and also practical information about the life of the normal people in Nepal.

Fantastic tour. A very knowleable tour guide. Sunset views are fantastic. Professionalism and puncticulaty are commendables. Prepare yourself to very bad roads. You will have fantastic body massage caused by the car. Also attention to the cold weather although the temperature was around 6 deg. C.

, Nov 2019
This trip was over all a really good day. A nice good guide who made everything to make me enjoy the day. Nice with a female guide also. The weather could have been better, but not much to say. The cable ride was joyful and exciting and I am happy about the day.

I took this daytrip to escape from the noise of Kathmandu and Thamel, and it was awesome. My guide was very accomodating and he was explaining the different places and buildings as we went.
The only cons is that it's more a half day trip and I would have liked to spend more time visting Bhaktapur. I really recommend doing this if you are in kathmandu and want a more quiet experience.
Thanks a million Dillip for such a magical day.So professional, warm and kind.We had the absolute perfect day together.Like something out of a Indiana Jones movie.Would definitely recommend...outstanding scenery and tour guide ♡ Natasha & Juliano

Overall the tour was very good. Our hotel and transport were arranged with no issues at all. We stayed at the Maruni Sanctuary Lodge - the hotel was clean, quiet and the food was reasonable. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We managed to see Rahinos a few times and witness elephants bathing at midday, which was very impressive. Just one thing, the tour should inform clients on the literature what colour cloths not to wear (i.e. no red, no yellow, no white and no black) - it would be useful to know about this in advance of the safari and to pack the right colour cloths!
No one from the tour agency Liberty Holidays, Kathmandu was there to take us back to our hotel (Marriott Kathmandu) from the bus stop on our return from the Chitwan National Park tour even though they were supposed to. We waited for about half an hour and also made several calls to their office as well as to the owner of Liberty Holidays and these calls were not answered. We felt ignored.
I have given 5 stars only to the attraction and not to the tour company. The tour company was unprofessional.

We enjoyed Kathmandu city half day tour. The guide was very informative. We learned quite a bit about Nepal in 5 hours We were able to visit 4 main places in Kathmandu. Entrance fees were unexpectedly expensive to me (I was in Nepal 20 years ago and I did remember I paid such amount). Visiting 4 places cost 2600 NRP/person. Just prepare for that. The guide speaks English very well. We learned a lot from him about Kathmandu history. Thank you.
