Tamgaly petroglyphs - one of the oldest and most striking monuments of rock art of Zhetisu, which is included to the World Heritage List of UNESCO. There are about 2,000 drawings in the main gorge!
Even the most sophisticated history lovers will appreciate the trip to the Tanbaly rocks, located 170 kilometers from Almaty. Petroglyphs Tanbaly - is the oldest monument of rock art of Central Asia, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.The petroglyphs of Tanbaly are like an ancient art gallery. In the main gorge there are about 2000 images of deities, warriors, scenes of hunting and sacrifice. Most of the petroglyphs belong to the Bronze Age and are made in the Sakian style.
Issyk gorge - one of the most picturesque and interesting places of Trans-Ili Alatau. You will be introduced with the archaeological monuments of the Saka culture, the fantastic beauty of Lake Issyk. You will also visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Issyk".
We will start our trip in the morning from your hotel. Drive will take approximately 3 hours. Museum-reserve is located on the vast territory with hills, canyons and rocks. There are 6 groups of petroglyphs of different eras. We will observe all of them.
