Our Kelowna tour is one of the best ways to experience Okanagan wine country: a facility & vineyard tour, tastings of wines, and a delicious picnic lunch, all wrapped up in a 5-hour tour, visiting 5 of our favourite wineries…all within the Greater Kelowna area!
Kelowna is truly the birthplace of winemaking in BC—the first vineyards in the Province were planted here by Father Charles Pandosy in 1859. This region is known primarily for cool-climate varietals such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling, although some wineries are producing red blends made with fruit sourced from vineyards further south. Stunning views of the city, surrounding mountains, gorgeous vineyards and orchards, and our beautiful lake all set a dramatic backdrop for this tour.
The tour also includes a facility tour and tasting. Guests will learn about the winemaking process from grape to glass, beginning in the vineyard, moving into the winemaking facility, and concluding with a tasting of award-winning wines.
Kelowna or West Kelowna Afternoon sightseeing wine tour
What a great day!
, Oct 2019
We had such a great time with Red Dog Wine Tours, visiting several different wineries in West Kelowna! Our tour guide, Dave, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable about Kelowna and surrounding areas, and did a fantastic job providing everyone with a highly enjoyable day. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who has been thinking about trying it! You won't regret it!
Our tour director John was great from the moment we were picked up in the spacious, immaculate van to the very end when he helped us all carry our wine treasures to our hotel. He kept us informed and entertained while allowing 11 strangers to become friends over the course of 4 hours. The wineries visited where fun and each one a little bit different than the one before it. I rate this tour as excellent with the only downfall being the length of time it took to pick up all of the passengers before the tour could begin. We understand the logistics of picking up of guests at different locations varies from day to day but that honestly was the only negative. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with John and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and Red Dog Tours to our friends and family.

Four of us, plus our Guide Ben, went out on the lake for a grand time. The weather was decent and with a mild wind at our back, the paddling was easy. Ben provided a detailed orientation on what to do and expect on the outing, so there were no negative surprises. We even saw a few Bald Eagles along the way. It was my favourite activity that week.
