Fun and Interesting
, Jan 2020
Me and my partner done this tour and found it to be really interesting, a lot of fun stories and the guide was an absolute gentleman, would highly recommend to anyone visiting Krakow who is interested in the darker side of history
This guide was absolutely fantastic, from the start to the finish our tour guide Michael was kind, interesting and most of all entertaining. He even allowed the party to stop for a toilet break half way through. As a group we were very happy and extremely impressed with the tour and the wealth of knowledge Michael has. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed this tour. While it did talk about ghosts and vampires and dragons, it was really more of a great history lesson of Krakow. We learned a lot of interesting things that occurred in this city throughout its history. The guide was very informative and gave a great presentation.
One thing to note, there is a lot of walking on this tour, so be sure to wear good comfortable shoes

I did expect to see the actual factory, but it no longer exists. Everything was staged, but there were some authentic memorabilia from the War. Very good info regarding the beginning of WW II and Germanys invasion of Poland. Disappointed I didn’t get to see the actual factory.
Connect with the lives of Krakow’s Jewish residents on a guided tour of the Oskar Schindler Factory Museum. Step inside the actual factory of the man immortalized in the film ‘Schindler’s List,' where a guide takes you through exhibits that share the struggles of daily life under Nazi occupation and stories of horror and heroism during World War II.

Oskar Schindler's Factory Museum Guided Tour in Krakow
, Feb 2020
This museum is great, tho you should know its not about Oskar Shindler or the factory, it is about Kracow's occupation by the Nazi Germans. With a guide it is very interesting, however you almost need to go back in and go around on your own in your own time. Essential to book in advance.
Firstly the tour took you from the beginning of the war to liberation day in January 1945. The guide gave well planned formulated information during theses periods. Schindler’s factory has been turned into a historic museum and each section depicting historic movements, the way the Jews were treated, living conditions in the ghetto and the people who helped.
The only thing that was missing slightly was we weren’t given much information on Schindler only the small basics. I would have liked to learn more on him.
However it was fantastic value for money and the guide was very well educated and was able to answer any questions.
Experience a poignant piece of World War II history on a tour of Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in Krakow. Explore the exhibitions in the enamel factory where hundreds of Jewish employees were saved from deportation. Follow an expert guide through Schindler’s office, and examine multimedia projections, artifacts and photos while learning the stories of the workers.
Viator transport arrived on time & it was a great service from start to finish, same as many other times we have used Viator. The salt mine guided tour was wonderful. Plenty of stairs and plenty of walking so wear your comfy walking shoes. Highly recommended if you are interested in history as there is so much to learn.
A very nice trip to go to and a great sight for the city of Krakow.
Along with All the amazing things you can see in the Saltmine, you learn about the history behind it. The excursion was very well organized. We were picked up from our hotel on time, and our driver explained us about our visit. Our guide was also very nice and informative. Definitely worth the visit and the trip is highly recommended!

It was a fantastic tour. Our guide driver was excellent with a in dept knowledge of what happened during ww2. His accent was so easy to listen to and understand. Unfortunately we can’t remember his name. If this helps get him a much deserved pay raise he drove a white electric vehicle he lived in Canada for a few years.
Our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgable, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. He was more than happy to answer all the questions we had and gave us so much information it really was a brilliant trip.

I had a great trip with Victor today when visiting Zakopane. Victor was very entertaining and very obliging and wanted to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible.
His cheerfulness and stories made the journey from Krakow to Zakopane fun and fast including the trip to an old village with wooden houses.
Tour guide Victor was very polite, chatted and told us loads of information without being too much. We stopped off at all locations and got an extra stop in at the upside down house. Was only me and my other half in private car so very happy. Definitely recommend the tour
Victor picked us up right at 9 a.m. at our hotel lobby. He's very friendly and very accommodating as we changed the schedule a bit. We wanted to do a little hike near Zakopane. The tour includes tickets to the funicular in Zakopane. There were only 2 of us. He's an excellent guide. It's a long day yet he remained in good spirit the entire time. Also the Mercedes-Benz mini van is clean. We will definitely recommend this company to anyone that's thinking about taking a private tour to Zakopane.

Sabina was incredible. Best tour/adventure I have experienced and I am an avid traveler. It was so much fun and by we learned so much more than just Pierogi preparation. Sabina was the best guide I have had the pleasure to have experienced. A must do adventure if you visit krakow .
I had a little trouble finding the meeting location so I missed the market part of the experience, but Olgierd graciously caught me up with the group (2 others) and I enjoyed learning the pierogi making experience in his apt. This was a highlight of my 2 week trip to Krakow, Prague, and Berlin because Olgierd was such a wonderful host and made us feel like we had had a chance to gain a bit of insight into the culture beyond the cooking. Highly recommend, and I would do again if I returned to Krakow.
Such a fun tour.! There were only three of us and that was perfect. Olgierd was professional and a great cook. We had such fun going to the market and ordering our food to cook in Polish. I highly recommend this if you have time in beautiful Krakow
Enjoy a true taste of Polish food and culture with this 4 hours cooking class in Krakow. Shop for fresh ingredients with your guide at a farmers' market and learn a few handy phrases as you go. Then head to the home kitchen of your host and learn how to make classic dish: pierogi while traditional music keeps the mood festive. Afterward, sit down to feast on your creations. This small-group tour is limited to six people to ensure more personalized attention from your guide.
Highly recommend to fit both trips in one day for a weekend in Krakow
, Feb 2020
It was a good price to do both in the same day (I paid roughly £57) ideal if you’re in Krakow for a short weekend - day before the trip I received the pick up time/details, pick up from the hotel at 7:15am by minibus along with other people on the same trip, no problem - first went to Salt Mines and their tour guide took us down, then over to Auschwitz again another tour guide took us round both sites, both guides were very informative - all tickets and tours were all preorganised by the operator which was great and could leave any belongings on the minibus - driver also gave us an hour for lunch if we didn’t bring food with us
During the whole day you will visit two places which are Auschwitz-Birkenau museum and Wieliczka Salt Mines. In both places you got an official guides service included. Door to door service and english-speaking driver/tour leader is also provided. Tour includes all entrance fees and skipping the long line!
Our staff is an experienced team of people who love their job trying to provide you the best service possible. All of our drivers/tour leaders are english-speaking and ready to help you and answer all your questions. We treat people individually. Our modern air-conditioned fleet is ready for the ride!
This is likely one of the best tour guide you can ever have, every bit of time spent was worth it. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. Gives detailed information and history of places you will get to visit. So many lovely and nice places covered in one day. You will get a feel of the country side and locals. All questions were answered, tour guide is also very willing to assist you as much as possible. Greatly recommend.
We had a wonderful day with our tour guide Thomas. We were lucky enough to have a private tour and Thomas went above and beyond to make sure our trip to Zakopane was unforgettable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kraków!
Thomas also offers a range of other types of tours to the mountains so be sure to check those out too!
The tour to Zacopane was fantastic, and Thomas just the best driver and guide. His knowledge, flexibility, client-orientation and tips, made it all a great day. A very friendly and pleasant person. Highly recommended! The car was excelent too, very comfortable.

Communism Tour in a Genuine Trabant Automobile from Krakow
, Jan 2020
Great little tour, liked the guide. The Trabant really added to the immersive experience. Works well as a short trip when visiting Auschwitz on Saturday and filling the time before the airport on the Sunday morning. Our guide even drove us to the airport and saved us the price of a taxi.
Communism Tour in a Genuine Trabant Automobile from Kraków
, Dec 2019
We were touring Eastern Europe for a month. This tour was a major highlight of our trip. The itinerary was very well thought out. Touring Nowa Huta, the Soviet « utopian » city in an era car and experiencing a little bit what it was like to live there (including the propaganda) far exceeded our expectations. What really made the trip was our guide. Claudia is a outstanding young woman. Her knowledge and passion made a deep impression on us in helping to understand life in Cold War Kraków. And her mastery of the ancient Trabant is fantastic. We would strongly recommend this tour with Claudia.
Discover Krakow’s communist history on a tour in a Trabant car. Take a ride in the vehicle classic to the era and explore the Nowa Huta district with your guide. Along the way, hop out to wander the neighborhood’s streets and learn about the rich history behind them. Upgrade to extend your tour with a visit to a private museum and a communist-era restaurant.
Discover Krakow at a faster pace than a walking tour by going on an action-packed bike tour. Pedal past many top sights including Krakow’s Main Square, St. Mary’s Church, the Cloth Hall, St. Florian’s Gate, The Barbican, Planty Park, Wawel Royal Castle, Kazimierz, and Podgorze. Learn about the sights you pass with fascinating guide commentary along the way.
Venture underground beneath Krakow’s Main Square to discover one of the city’s most unique museums. Enjoy a guided tour of the fascinating exhibitions, learn more about Krakow’s ancient history and medieval secrets, and be entertained by interactive displays and multimedia presentations.
Picked up dead on time, very comfortable transport and our host Jacob was excellent. It’s about a two hour drive to the mountains and you stop in the way at a carver. We didn’t buy anything but was a nice stop. Apparently we should have gone to an uprising museum but didn’t and didn’t notice that until we got back. The town of zoo pane is very touristy and at the top it was full of stalls selling every thing from plastic swords to cuddly toys. Not quite what we expected but the views were nice. Then into the spa that was very quiet and had some excellent pools in nice surroundings. Then an hour and half drive home through the countryside. Overall a good tour to get,you out often city. Maybe some where slightly different to zakopane could be chosen to get up into the mountains. Jacob was an excellent host.
Enjoy a level of access that’s just not possible with independent travel on this door-to-door private tour of the Tatra Mountains. Explore inside a traditional wooden house at Chocholow village and choose to meet a local sculptor. Ride the funicular and shop for souvenirs and gourmet produce in Zakopane. Finally, enjoy a long, leisurely soak at the Bukowina Hot Springs.
Very professional service: friendly driver arrived on time, transport was clean and quick, guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. We also went very early so we missed most of the crowds, fortunately.
Im also very, very glad that I went with a skip-the-line guide. When we left, the lines to enter were incredibly long.
I felt a little rushed during the tours - perhaps that was because of the crowds but I would have liked the tour to move more slowly so that I could take more in.
The lady who did the tour was amazing, really knew what she was talking about and you could feel every bit of emotion with what she spoke about. For the price we paid I was surprised at how great it was, think it’s a tour that everyone at some point in their life should do. Saw things I could never imagine to even be true or real, and heard stories that I will never forget. As a 21 year old girl, it amazed me that the things I learnt not so long ago at school were nothing in comparison to what I learn on the tour.
Learn about Poland’s history and visit a former concentration camp—Auschwitz Birkenau, that now acts as a place to remember those who lost their lives there during World War II. Save time planning your own transport by having Krakow hotel pickup and drop-off included. By going on a guided tour, you are able to understand more about the context of the site and the things that happened there.
Downside - it would have been a 100 rating if the factory was kept original. I'm hearing impaired and the tour company did not have headsets for me.
The guide was amazing. He had a lot of information. He answered any questions we had.
If you are expecting to find out all about Schindler, you will be disappointed . The tour talks about the persecution of the Jews, but no links are made to Schindler. However, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. There is plenty t9 look at and interact with. The information about the holocaust far our weighed that given on the Auchwitz tour.
There’s a small cafe in the museum but much better refreshment options just along the road from the museum.
My only criticism is that the lady selling tickets on the day we were there was very rude and dismissive when we asked where we needed to meet our tour guide. The directions given on the info sheet said to redeem the sheet for a ticket. This wasn’t needed. It wasn’t made clear where to meet the aviator guide but he managed to find us!
I’d recommend this tour to older children and adults. The two under 8s on our tour were really not enjoying it.
You will meet with a professional local guide, with whom you’ll visit the museum for 1,5 hour. The guide will introduce you to the story of Oskar Schindler and explain the historical background of the war period in Krakow. The museum’s interior will let you feel as you were walking the streets of Krakow from occupation times.
Get a true taste of Krakow on this food tour. Led by a guide, discover the culinary delights around Rynek Główny, checking out eateries, cafes and local stalls. Sample eight Polish favorites, including ‘pierogi’ (stuffed dumplings), ‘obwarzanek’ (an Eastern European spin on the bagel), sour rye soup, pickled cucumber and cabbage and homemade liquor. Numbers are reserved to 15 to keep the tour as intimate as possible.
