All technical instruction is accurate to the Japan Kendo Federation instruction principles.3. The main venue is the Hall of Fame.The Butokuden Dojo, built in 1899, is the most respected Kendo Dojo in the world. It was recognized as the nation’s cultural asset in 1996.4. We have a story to tell. The instructor, Tomoyoshi, a great-grandson of the Hikone clan Samurai, Yoshishige Hayashi. He joined the “SEINAN WAR” (1877) as one of “BATTOTAI" (Sword Corps) soldiers. This was the last war for Samurai. This historic incident many years later inspired Hollywood to create the movie called "The Last Samurai”.
