We loved this private car tour. The tour says it gets into Riga about 6p, but we wanted to get to Riga earlier. The driver/company said it was up to us how long we wanted to spend at each location. This worked out perfect. We were on our own time. The Hills of Crosses was an experience. Rundale Palace was amazing and Bauska Castle was interesting. We had lunch at Rundale Palace, which took forever to get food in the cafe, but the food was good. We got to Riga little before 5p.

Small-Group Food and History Walking Tour of Vilnius
, Nov 2019
This was a good tour, great food and drinks, but with ALOT of walking on uneven sidewalks, streets, roads and at night. I think this tour should be during daylight hours, because of the uneven surfaces. We were a group of 5 originally, a member of the family of 3 had a hard time walking, so there was a delay. We don't blame them, as it was alot of walking on uneven surfaces. They ended up dropping out, cause of walking too much and other personal reasons. It was great to have a "private"tour after they left, but we felt like there should've been another food stop. With the delay on the tour, the tour ended ontime. Our tour guide was very nice, but probably needed to get home
My friend and I love a food tour and booked this one the day before. Viktorija our guide was delightful. There were only a small number of stops on the tour (four from memory) and the first stop was just an alcoholic beverage. It was a bit unusual that the third stop was when we had dessert (cheese ice cream and cheese candy) and the last stop is when each person was given five full meals each. Although the food was delicious, it was too much and felt wasteful as it was impossible to eat it all. It would have been better to have been given dishes to share and to have dessert at the end. We also would also have liked to hear more of the history of Lithuanian. We barely heard anything of WWII, the Soviets and how Lithuania functions today politically. In summary, lovely food and guide but could structure the tour a lot better.

Shore Excursion: Best of Curonian Spit in Klaipeda in a Small Group
Best part of Klaipeda

The sites were good such as the witches tour, Thomas Mann museum and sand dunes near Niva. The other sand dune and Amber museum could have been skipped. The tour guide tended to ramble to fill time while we were driving and would have been better with shorter more clear summaries. The advertised tour was 6 hours and included a tour around Klaipeda, however, the guide was prepared for 8 hours. We had it cut back so didn't see the city. We were told by our fellow passengers that we didn't miss much in the city.

The hot air balloon ride was very calming and nice, but we did not go over Trakai Island Castle as described in the description on Viator. The main reason I booked this flight was to see the castle, so it was disappointing that we were actually quite far away from it.
I understand that of course it is hard to predict what the wind/weather will do. However we could see in the distance that the 5-6 balloons of other companies had taken off from a different point and went directly over or next to the castle. It's understandable that it cannot be guaranteed, so perhaps Viator should update the description on the site to just be the Trakai "area" instead. That way there would be no false expectations of seeing the castle.
Otherwise the staff were great. Landing was bumpy, but not an issue. "First baptizing ceremony" was fun and a very nice touch.
This was absolutely amazing experience. Many thanks to the whole team for being so nice and helpful to us. I especially would like to recommend the morning flights. The views and the whole atmosphere are astonishing! Once again Thank You all and looking forward for the next flight.
