Day Trips to Victoria Falls from Livingstone
By Viator, November 2013
Those who have a day to spare can enjoy adrenaline sports that get the heart racing. Embark on a half-day whitewater rafting adventure, where views of the falls can be seen from the base of the Boiling Pot. Then climb the Vic Falls Bridge and bungee dive into the abyss or hop on a gorge sling and swing into the open space with an incredible view.
Follow the path of explorer David Livingstone and spend the day at Livingstone Island, where a less-thrilling (but even more scenic) boat ride offers an up-close look at the falls. In low season, visitors can jump into Devil’s Pool and swim to the edge of the falls, where a shallow ledge of slippery rock is the only protection from toppling over the rushing waters.
