The Basics

Many visitors explore the museum independently, but taking a private guided tour means you can benefit from the expertise of an experienced art critic. Combine your tour with a visit to the nearby Tate Britain museum by hopping on the scenic Tate Boat, which runs between the two sites every 40 minutes during gallery opening times. Or, choose a London Pass and enjoy access to dozens of other London attractions in addition to the museum. Alternatively, admire the striking Tate Modern façade on a London sightseeing tour or Thames River cruise.

I get it now
I learned about Modern Art. It is much more relatable than I thought. I also learned about me. It really sparked interesting conversations in the group and with my son.

The Tate Modern London - Exclusive Guided Museum Tour
Museum has an amazing collection of modern Art organized helpfully. Our tour guide Ellie was a University trained art historian who was exceptional in every way. She not only enhanced our appreciation and understanding of the art, but put engaged with us in a personal and inspiring manner. Would heartily recommend her without hesitation. By the end of the tour we felt she had become a kind acquaintance.

A Fabulous Introduction to the Tate and Modern Art

The Tate Modern London - Exclusive Guided Museum Tour
What a wonderful tour! The Tate is huge, and Becky, our guide, made it doable. She took us through each gallery while providing the background of each period of modern art. She would then show us something that brought her explanations to life. We went with 2 young adult children and 2 parents and we all learned a lot without being overwhelmed. Highly recommend!
