One of the BEST trips EVER! I love Downton Abbey so much and is was great to see the Castle and Manor farm/house. The food at the castle was very yummy!
Fantastic, this trip was one of the highlights of 3 months travelling Europe. I booked it mainly to see Highclere Castle as I am a fan of Egyptology but I loved the entire trip. The facts and information about the show made the drives fun and interesting between the amazing stops.

After seeing the series on PBS, I was eager to see the show's filming sites. It was worth the day trip! I also learned some local bits about the places we visited in the morning. Blenheim Palace is really beautiful! Of interest, the current ducal family still lives in part of the palace which isn't open to the public.
Since we were a small group of 6, our driver dropped us off at requested spots in London.
The guide is knowledgeable and entertaining. The highlight is obviously Highclere Castle and it is incredible to see inside.
Note that you are not allowed to take photos inside the Castle. You get to see some other sets where they taped the show but obviously less interesting than the Castle and could go without.

Our Guide was great and very knowledgeable about both the destinations and sights along the way.
We would have liked more time at Blenheim Palace as 11/2 hours was not enough to vies the State Rooms and stroll in the beautiful gardens. We suggest that only the two Cotswold villages of Bibury and Boughto-on-the-Water be included in this itinerary. The Downton Abbey village only represents a venue for a fictional TV series.
Complimentary hotel pick-up was much appreciated as was a choice of drop-off spots convenient to public transportation.
Great tor and tour guide!!
excellent trip. Blenheim palace was wonderful!
A dream come true. It was stunning. Couldn't believe we were there!
Wonderful! Our guide Frank was such a delight! Highly recommend this tour.
My daughter and I took the Private Douwnton Abbey tour three weeks ago. It was magical. From the beginning, when Andrew Wilcox picked us up at our hotel, The Bentley, until our return in the evening,
every minute was amazing. Andrew was wonderful, and made the whole experience fun, easy, and informative. I would encourage anyone who would like to visit the areas outside London and through the Cottswolds, to take this tour. It is not just about Downton Abbey, it is about the history of the many sites we visited. In other words, my husband would also have enjoyed it! Diana Deferville
Unbelievable! Everything I could have hoped for and more.
This tour was the highlight of our vacation. Our guide was wonderful, the day was well planned, and Highclere Castle and Bampton enhanced our love of all things Downton Abbey and not to be missed. Oxford was a special bonus to this day.
Our tour guide did a great job. She was funny and informative, she gave us a great walking tour of Oxford and an overview of what would would see at Highclere Castle so we had great context when we arrived. The tour was a good price for the 11 hours we spent with them. The bus driver also did a fabulous job, he managed to back the bus around a corner, avoiding a car parked in the road. Mad skills.
Tony was great!
This is the trip to take if you are a Downton Abbey fan. First stop was Cogge's Farm where all of the farm shots were taken. Then Bampton, which was the village of Downton. And then the castle. Great trip that lasted about 11 hours. Guide, Andy, was great and very knowledgeable.
Enjoyed everthing VIP TREATMENT.
This was fabulous! Our tour guide proudly told us that she wrote this tour for Viator. It was excellent. We had 3 stops and plenty of time at each one. The castle was last, we had 2 1/2 hours. It was a wonderful fun day!
This was the fantastic. If you're a Downton Abbey fan, the ultimate!
Highly recommend this trip to any Downton fan! Our tour guide Debbie was wonderful, very friendly and full of lots of Downton trivia. Even my non-Downton fan husband enjoyed the day.
Fantastic and very informative tour guide, absolutely loved it.
It was very interesting, even for those who did not watch the series. I would highly recommend it

Wonderful trip. Had time in Oxford on way to Oxfordshire. There was plenty of time to visit Highclere Castle and to take photos in the gardens.
Our guide had excellent local knowledge.
For Downton Abbey fans, this is a must. I expected that Highclere Castle would be the highlight of this tour - and it is indeed beautiful - but the other aspects are great too... the Downton grounds, Yew TreeFarm, and the town. The trip left on time and even though there are 3 locales, there is plenty of time to see things in as much detail as die-hard fans like me could want. Debbie, who originated the tour, was our guide and she is very animated and attentive to people's needs. Lots of inside gossip, too. Oh, and you'll be able to eat well as there are cafes and tea rooms - makes it a complete day!
OMG - wish I could give this tour more stars!! I am a big Downton Abbey fan so was SO excited to take this tour. Many of the other tours to here were filled on the days I'd be in town so I was thrilled when I found this one. It's a bit pricey, though. It does come with a book written by the current Countess, which I read with interest. I would have preferred the first book she wrote on the first Countess the second one had a little too much about the war and politics at the time for my taste but still an interesting read. Unfortunately, I was traveling with only a backpack and the book is large and heavy enough that it caused an issue for me. I ended up shipping it back home so I didn't have to carry it. The house was designed by the same architect who did the Houses of Parliment so the style is similar and I think magnificent. It sits on a huge piece of land with lots of trees, gardens, and open spaces - really lovely! Photos are not allowed inside the house, which is a shame. I just downloaded ones from the internet so I had some. We also toured Oxford - great architecture! We had time to explore on our own. We also stopped in Bampton, the small village where Downton Abbey filmed. The church there is where Lady Mary got married and other events took place. You also see what was the infirmary entrance actually their library, Lady Crawley's house, Granthan Arms, and Mrs. Podmore's B and B. It's a tiny village and easy to see the whole thing in a short time. All in all, a great tour!
