Los Cabos, situated on the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, is home to some of Mexico’s top golf courses. Throw beautiful beaches, excellent food, and plenty of cultural appeal into the mix, and you’ve got a recipe for a bucket list-worthy destination for any golfer. Here are a few of our favorite spots.
Opened in 1993, Cabo Real Golf Club features a 2,800-acre Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed course with sea views on numerous holes. Meanwhile, Puerto Los Cabos, set just a short drive from downtown San Jose del Cabo, has two different nines designed by golf legends Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus, with the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains to one side and the Sea of Cortes to the other. Club Campestre San Jose sits in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, a short drive from both Los Cabos International Airport and San Jose del Cabo, and offers sloping desert terrain, big bunkers, undulating greens, and views of the Sea of Cortes. Golfers looking for terrain variety will find it at Palmilla Golf Club, the first Jack Nicklaus-designed course in Latin America. Choose from three nine-hole courses: the Mountain Course, the Ocean Course, and the Arroyo Course.
