Toledo and Segovia Tour with Alcazar Entrance from Madrid
, Jan 2020
Tour guides were AMAZING! Full of personality and knowledgeable!! These cities were amazing, just wish they were a little closer together for more time. Loved the free time we had in the cities to explore, one hour each.
I've never been let down by an Viator excursion and this was just about the best one I've had. The tour bus arrived promptly and the two guides both spoke English very well. It was an easy drive to Toledo. We had a fun and informative walking tour and then some time to shop. Then, about 2 hours up to Segovia. Segovia's tour was also very well done. It was an unusually cold and windy there and the guides told us what to expect weather wise. What was nice is that our guides did not skimp on discussions of the sites because it was cold. I expected they might limit discussion and seek shelter but they did not. We had time for lunch and some time to roam on our own. Just a fantastic tour, especially for the price.
This was a great tour.... A lot to pack into one days but still.... Even though the weather didn't cooperate, I learned a lot and really enjoyed visiting these two towns. Belen and Jose were very good guides; a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour company and this tour. They were very well organized and took care of 43 people in our group with patience and professionalism.

Three Cities in one day: Segovia, Ávila & Toledo from Madrid
3 cities in a day
, Feb 2020
Definitely the tour to take if you're limited in time. Our guide Tamara is amazing! The tour was very educational, stunning places to visit, and really makes you want to return to Spain to see and experience more of what this great country has to offer.
This tour is contracted by I Love Madrid Tours which is located near the famous San Miguel Market. The reunion location was easy to find and we left promptly on time. It was an excellent itinerary. Lots to see in one day. It probably was not very detailed as other tours but it is great if you just want to see the highlights of these three cities. Nacho was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to personalize the tour a little bit to each person's taste which is nice. The van we went in was clean and we got to have a little walking tour in each city. The included lunch was great and it had a great view of the walls of Avila. What I most appreciated about the trip is we did not go to any of those tacky "craft" shops where you feel pressured to buy stuff. Would definitely be up for this trip again.

Carlos was knowledgable, thorough, a brilliant historian and wine connoisseur. It was just the tree of us and there was no awkward silence or chit chat. Wonderful how wine, tapas and an excellent guide make for long lost family!!!! I will recommend this to all of my friends and family!!! Truly worth the three hours of wining and dining!!

Avila with Walls and Segovia Day Tour from Madrid with Optional Lunch
, Feb 2020
This tour is a great way to see these great cities in a day. Very well organised day. Our guide Beatrice has excellent English and kept the group moving. My only criticism of the tour was that it includes the wall and tower in Avila but we were literally on the wall for 5 minutes. I think if we were given at least 15 mins to walk along a section it would have been more enjoyable. One and a half hours allocated for lunch so 15 mins from this time could be used on the walls or add half hour to the duration of the day and add that into Avila.
The pace was good. What we saw was fabulous. The guide Nouri was most helpful.
Suggestion: have a place to ask for food allergies. I could not eat some of the things served for lunch but the restaurant tried their best to accommodate me.
Highly recommend the trip and the tour company. Office is a nice place to wait and staff very helpful.
The guide was wonderful. The day was amazing. This day trip from Madrid is a must if you have the time. Do the full day. We opted for the tapas and wine and then ordered a la cart off the menu for lunch. Avila’s history was Interesting and one highlight was waking on top of the walls of the city and walking on two or three towers of the 88 along the 2.2 KM of walls. Just incredible views and history.
Segovia was Incredible. Buy the tour option where you go into Alcazar castle. It’s amazing. It’s the castle Disney modeled their castle on and the rooms inside and history from the tour guide won’t disappoint. The Roman aqueducts in Segovia are well
Preserved. Both towns are quaint and weren’t crowded, but that’s likely due to our off season holiday. Gorgeous views all around.
Visit the UNESCO-listed cities of Segovia and Avila on this day trip from Madrid. Admire the picturebook old town of Avila with its stunning 11th-century walls, cathedral, and Basilica of St. Vincent. Then continue to the historical showstopper of Segovia. Behold its massive Roman aqueduct and explore its Gothic cathedral and fairytale-like Alcazar fortress-palace. Upgrade to include a simple, tourist-style lunch or a gourmet feast of Segovian specialties with drinks.
The tour guide Benny was very knowledgeable and clear, answer all questions. The bus was very comfortable, the only remark was the driver very often brake and stop the bus real hard and rough, causing One time for my wife hit the front tray in the chest.
This is a great basic tour of both cities; we happened to go when both were colder and experiencing wintry weather but still had a great time visiting both Segovia and Toledo. David was a good guide and made sure to give us a thorough background of the cities and answered our questions. Being given some information about the locations on the bus before arriving was helpful too so you get an idea of what you're seeing and some history before you arrive. You have enough free time in each place to explore on your own a bit and the price is definitely more than fair for a full day's trip!
Experience two UNESCO World Heritage cities in one day on this tour to Toledo and Segovia. See Segovia’s narrow streets and preserved Roman aqueduct. Uncover ancient mysteries during a guided tour of the ancient fortress, the Alcázar. In Toledo—the city of three cultures—discover the architecture and history of Muslim, Jewish, and Christian societies who once lived here and take a guided tour of the Cathedral of Toledo (optional).
Absolutely fantastic tour. Rodrigo, our guide, was full of knowledge about the wine of Spain and the wineries of our tour. Also he made the entire experience much better because of his incredible personality. The bodegas were wonderful and the owners provided personal tours for our small group. Lots of wine samples and tapas to go with them. Bottles were available for purchase at very reasonable prices 👍. We bought several! Also the bodegas and surrounding areas had lots of history and Rodrigo was able to share his extensive knowledge with us. Definitely take this tour and ask for Rodrigo if you can.
Our guide, Rodrigo Gonzalez, was an excellent resource for our wine-tasting trip. In addition to his insights on the Spanish wine regions, he also was able to contribute interesting information on Spanish history and knowledgeable recommendations for tapas places. We have enjoyed many tours like this in Argentina, France and the United States, but we found the wineries chosen for this trip to be truly unique. We highly recommend this tour to visitors to Madrid.
Visit 3 wineries and taste more than 10 wines in Madrid Wine Region (D.O Vinos de Madrid). Escape the metropolitan mayhem of Madrid in favor of the verdant vineyards of Vinos de Madrid on a full-day Spanish wine tour. Accompanied by an accomplished guide, explore the beautiful wine-making region and learn about complex production processes in atmospheric wine cellars, known as bodegas. Sample signature wines grown in the area and gain fascinating insight into the culinary heritage of Spain’s capital city on this enriching epicurean tour.
Great day out in Toledo. Excellent walking tour and pace was perfect. Clara was our guide and her knowledge and English were excellent. As is always the case with an organised group I would have loved a little free time at the conclusion of the tour to stroll the lovely little streets and shops. Even an hour would have been good. We returned by 5pm so a 6pm finish would have allowed that extra time. We opted to do our own lunch.
This was, by far, the most spectacular tour I’ve ever been on. Gorgeous Cathedral, Monestary, Mosque and the nose awe inspiring architecture in the world. Views are breathtaking and tour guide was very informative and patient. Toledo is a must see experience!
Delve into the cultural tapestry of Toledo, a treasure trove of El Greco artworks and ancient fortifications, on a tour from Madrid. Accompanied by a guide, navigate the cobbled streets, and explore the diverse architecture of the medieval city. Admire masterpieces by El Greco as you go on a morning, afternoon, or full-day excursion.
The tour was excellent, the bus was on time, the guide was personable with a lot of knowledge and non intrusive, we saw the majority of the sites, I will only give the tour 4 stars, because it may be 2 hours longer and we can see everything that we were wanting to see.

This full-day coach tour is the easy option, with the added bonus of a guide to chart the cities’ history, and included walking tours and entry fees. Check out Avila’s walls, Cathedral, and Basilica; and then continue to Segovia to take in its towering Roman aqueduct, Alcazar, and Cathedral.
This was done with Julia travel which do it all right! The guide spoke good english and quickly flipped back and forth from Spanish to English. The timing was good and skipping the line is always a bonus! Very well done and would do it again with this group!

First of all our luxury bus did not have any bathroom facilities on it. The tour guides in Cordoba and Seville we're very good. The hotel in Seville NH chain was ok. The dinners were very mediocre. It was stated that we would experience the local cuisine. The dinners here were definitely not that. The breakfasts kind of made up for that though. The food was plentiful and a good variety. The tour of the Alhambra seemed hurried up. The hotel in Granada Abad chain was ok and the dinner and breakfast were buffet style and pretty good. We were surprised that cold tap water was not available with the meals. The final stop in Toledo was enjoyable and views were breathtaking. The tour guide provided a good tour of the old City. Overall the tour was ok but it definitely could have been better.

Full Toledo with 7 Monuments and Optional Cathedral Access
I loved Toledo
, Jan 2020
I loved this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. On our way to Toledo the guide started telling us what we should expect and how the group was going to divide since some people chooses the wine tasting over the Church. Toledo is a very picturesque town. The views from the top are fantastic. Also you get free time to roam around get souveniers and or get lunch. Overall I really liked this guided tour.
Toledo is a marvelous old city with lots of historical value. It's perfect for a day trip from Madrid, and this tour was a great opportunity to see Toledo and experience it. The friendly and knowledgeable guide, Patricia gave us a lot of information but in easy to understand way.
The only problem we have was at the waiting point to return to Madrid. It was raining very hard and the bus driver would not let us on this bus. It was uncomfortable. In the future, please tell the driver 1) the name of the tour company and 2) the name of the guide, so that he can allow the participants to board.

Guided Wine Day Tour to Ribera del Duero from Madrid
From $185.03 (Price varies by group size )
Understanding wine producing in Spain
, Jan 2020
This tour was chosen largely because we wanted to experience the countryside out of Madrid and also see a Spanish wine producing area. We are from a great wine producing country - Australia and have friends who own wineries on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria Australia.
Our expectations of the tour and what we experienced were vastly different. This tour consisted of visiting 3 vastly different wineries - the age of the winery, size of production, markets and objectives. That was fantastic in itself. Good explanations of the wine we tasted were given.
Our guide was from the region and that was very useful.
I would recommend this tour- it highlighted the differences between production and marketing of wines in the 2 countries and it was a great tour.
Quique was a great and knowledgeable guide. In the van between stops he was happy to chat more about Spanish wine, Spanish culture, geography... really anything! The wines were wonderful and all of the stops were very enjoyable. We bought a bottle to bring home to remember the trip. The brief stop in Segovia was nice to see the main town square and aquaduct.
Sample the unique history and renowned wine producers of Ribera del Duero during this 10.5-hour trip from Madrid. Stop by three wineries during your trip, each of which offers a different setting mixing modern, traditional and medieval architecture, to taste the vintages from one of the most famous wine regions in the world. Get an in-depth look at wine production and harvesting during one stop and also have time to explore this ancient region’s wealth of medieval villages and castles. An expert guide, plus seasonal lunch, entrance fees, tastings and transport are included.
Excellent experience!!Tour guide was very informative and skipping line was great! Traveled around Christmas holiday so there were many people touring. Nice to have a guide explaining details of paintings.
This tour goes through the Prado Museum highlights. There are more than one thousand paintings inside (no, we didn't make a mistake, that's the truth), so we can't explore it all, nevertheless, we provide the base for you to go on your own after the visit. That's why we like to describe this as a didactic tour.
However, if you're an Art Pro, we've got good news: since we're going to be only 6 people, you can choose what to see and make requests, and that's why we like to describe this as a flexible tour.
If you are coming in a bigger group, send a mail and we'll arrange the visit.
5-days Guided Tour in Andalusia from Madrid via Cordoba
, Oct 2019
My wife, sister in law, and I booked this tour in advance, without any prior experience with guided tours. Our guide was Patricia and our bus driver was Luis, from Portugal. We could NOT have asked for a better tour guide or driver. Patricia was informative, patient, helpful, and ALWAYS greeted us with a warm smile. Luis handled driving the oversized bus with ease and skill. He maneuvered through tough conditions and he was quite helpful loading and unloading our heavy suitcases. I recommend this tour to anyone who would like to experience the beauty and rich history of Andalucia....

Skip the Line: Flamenco Show Ticket in Madrid at La Taberna de Mister Pinkleton
Cap off your day!
, Jan 2020
The dancing was excellent and everything was as advertised. The location is near a very popular area of Madrid. All seats are next to the stage and the complimentary drink was good. Given a limited time in Madrid, this was an excellent choice.
Very intimate, authentic wood and stone (cave-like) Flamenco tavern since 1961 where everyone has a ringside seat and the spectacular dancers’enthusiasm infectious. Highly recommend for ambience and authenticity

From $616.77 per group
WOW! You will love this private tour
, Jan 2020
We were not entirely sure what to expect for this private tour, but in the end we LOVED it! Our driver and our tour guide (Enrique) were very friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the skill of our driver, on the treacherous roads of Toledo. But we spent most of our time with Enrique, who is a native of Toledo and shared with us his wealth of knowledge of the history of the city. Enrique was uniquely able to show us an insider's view of Toledo, which was worth every penny of the cost of this tour. The city itself is breathtaking, with so much history and breathtaking architecture. You will not regret taking this tour, it could not be more professional and informative! The personal touch of this private tour is really the best way to see this magnificent city,,,,highly, highly recommend!
3 hours visiting is too short to visit Toledo. You will not have time for rest, have lunch...
The guide Valle was really interesting and explain with passion.
The car was a luxury mini van, very confortable.
But once again it is too expensive for only 3 hours visiting...

We had such a great time learning about all of the awesome food markets in Madrid. Our chef spoke perfect English and was so funny. She was very helpful to everyone in the class in spite of their experience with cooking. We made luscious Paella Mixta, Sangria, and Crema Catalina! I highly recommend this activity to learn more about how the locals in Madrid shop and prepare their delicious food.

Good if you want a comfy bus ride and nothing else.
, Dec 2019
Tour advertised guided walking tours, but when we opted out of buying add-on tix to cathedral and monuments, we found out this also excluded us from the audio guide she passed out for commentary as the group walked from place to place. Not explained well. Just as well as our guide was bored and not very informative during the bus ride, so I doubt we missed much insight. Lots of posted info along the way as we explored on our own.
Cities are amazing and well worth the trip. So take this tour if you want to avoid the hassle of public trains and buses, but not for the guide.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Clara. We had many delicious Tapas, as well as a beer and also some sherry. Clara was very friendly and knowledgeable on all the products we sampled. She also took us to several establishments that we would have never found out about on out own. Thank you so much Clara!

Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Toledo or Segovia with Optional Transport from Madrid
, Dec 2019
When we got to the location to board the hot air balloon nothing was ready and we had to wait outside for over an hour in the very cold temperature 32 degree weather while they were preparing the balloons. We had to ask to go back in the transport van while we waited. Once in flight the trip was pleasant, however the tour guide did not even once offered any history or discussion about the area in which we were flying over. We had to ask him questions like “what is this, what is that?” If we didn’t he did not offer any information about the area at all. Then once we landed in a farm area full of wet muddy soil and cow manurer all the flight passengers had to help the tour guide and one of the transportation guys to fold the very heavy balloon up, pack it up and lift it onto the truck. Many of us ruined our shoes in the very wet, smelly and muddy soil. I’m not sure why this operation didn’t have a second crew available to handle all of the packing of the gear up and have a driver ready to pick up the passengers to take them back to their location. I just feel for the cost of this tour over $800 for four people asking or expecting us to get involved in the packing and lifting of heavy supplies like that is unprofessional. What if there weren’t any capable tourists available to assist what would the tour operators would have done?. It took well over 2 hrs to finally get everything neatly packaged and put away before our van took us back to our hotel. The operators felt bad but they did not have enough help.
I recommend it to anyone who will be visiing Segovia.A great experience for all ages we loved it all the way from pick up to flight and back, everything ran smoothly. We also got a video and photos of the event.Worth every penny.

We went to the tour, even though it was raining. It was good, informative and fun.
The only thing the meeting place instructions were inaccurate. We were not the only ones to find this - all the participants this day met at the same place. We had to ring Trip Advisor to find out where the office was.
