Toledo and Segovia Tour with Alcazar Entrance from Madrid
, Jan 2020
Tour guides were AMAZING! Full of personality and knowledgeable!! These cities were amazing, just wish they were a little closer together for more time. Loved the free time we had in the cities to explore, one hour each.
I've never been let down by an Viator excursion and this was just about the best one I've had. The tour bus arrived promptly and the two guides both spoke English very well. It was an easy drive to Toledo. We had a fun and informative walking tour and then some time to shop. Then, about 2 hours up to Segovia. Segovia's tour was also very well done. It was an unusually cold and windy there and the guides told us what to expect weather wise. What was nice is that our guides did not skimp on discussions of the sites because it was cold. I expected they might limit discussion and seek shelter but they did not. We had time for lunch and some time to roam on our own. Just a fantastic tour, especially for the price.
This was a great tour.... A lot to pack into one days but still.... Even though the weather didn't cooperate, I learned a lot and really enjoyed visiting these two towns. Belen and Jose were very good guides; a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour company and this tour. They were very well organized and took care of 43 people in our group with patience and professionalism.

Carlos was knowledgable, thorough, a brilliant historian and wine connoisseur. It was just the tree of us and there was no awkward silence or chit chat. Wonderful how wine, tapas and an excellent guide make for long lost family!!!! I will recommend this to all of my friends and family!!! Truly worth the three hours of wining and dining!!

We had a fabulous experience in Madrid with our guide Charlie. When we arrived in Madrid we had no idea where to go for tapas and drinks. Charlie took us to 4 places and they were all tasty and unique. Charlie filled us in local etiquette such as tipping
Overall, top notch tour with great food and drinks. We highly recommend this tour.
The tapas tour was great- only recommendation would be to suggest people have 20-25 euros per person for drink and food after first bar- was not clear on the description that we would need to pay 20-25 additional euros during tour. The description read as one drink and food per bar would be covered and anything over one drink and food per bar would be individual responsibility
Did this tour the day we arrived from the US and we were afraid we would be tired but it was so much fun that we didn't even think about being tired. It was so very informative. Our guide told us so much about the city itself, not just about the food and wine, but the food and wine were definitely the highlight! He was fantastic.

Avila with Walls and Segovia Day Tour from Madrid with Optional Lunch
, Feb 2020
This tour is a great way to see these great cities in a day. Very well organised day. Our guide Beatrice has excellent English and kept the group moving. My only criticism of the tour was that it includes the wall and tower in Avila but we were literally on the wall for 5 minutes. I think if we were given at least 15 mins to walk along a section it would have been more enjoyable. One and a half hours allocated for lunch so 15 mins from this time could be used on the walls or add half hour to the duration of the day and add that into Avila.
The pace was good. What we saw was fabulous. The guide Nouri was most helpful.
Suggestion: have a place to ask for food allergies. I could not eat some of the things served for lunch but the restaurant tried their best to accommodate me.
Highly recommend the trip and the tour company. Office is a nice place to wait and staff very helpful.
The guide was wonderful. The day was amazing. This day trip from Madrid is a must if you have the time. Do the full day. We opted for the tapas and wine and then ordered a la cart off the menu for lunch. Avila’s history was Interesting and one highlight was waking on top of the walls of the city and walking on two or three towers of the 88 along the 2.2 KM of walls. Just incredible views and history.
Segovia was Incredible. Buy the tour option where you go into Alcazar castle. It’s amazing. It’s the castle Disney modeled their castle on and the rooms inside and history from the tour guide won’t disappoint. The Roman aqueducts in Segovia are well
Preserved. Both towns are quaint and weren’t crowded, but that’s likely due to our off season holiday. Gorgeous views all around.
Visit the UNESCO-listed cities of Segovia and Avila on this day trip from Madrid. Admire the picturebook old town of Avila with its stunning 11th-century walls, cathedral, and Basilica of St. Vincent. Then continue to the historical showstopper of Segovia. Behold its massive Roman aqueduct and explore its Gothic cathedral and fairytale-like Alcazar fortress-palace. Upgrade to include a simple, tourist-style lunch or a gourmet feast of Segovian specialties with drinks.
Great day out in Toledo. Excellent walking tour and pace was perfect. Clara was our guide and her knowledge and English were excellent. As is always the case with an organised group I would have loved a little free time at the conclusion of the tour to stroll the lovely little streets and shops. Even an hour would have been good. We returned by 5pm so a 6pm finish would have allowed that extra time. We opted to do our own lunch.
This was, by far, the most spectacular tour I’ve ever been on. Gorgeous Cathedral, Monestary, Mosque and the nose awe inspiring architecture in the world. Views are breathtaking and tour guide was very informative and patient. Toledo is a must see experience!
Delve into the cultural tapestry of Toledo, a treasure trove of El Greco artworks and ancient fortifications, on a tour from Madrid. Accompanied by a guide, navigate the cobbled streets, and explore the diverse architecture of the medieval city. Admire masterpieces by El Greco as you go on a morning, afternoon, or full-day excursion.
Three Cities in one day: Segovia, Ávila & Toledo from Madrid
3 cities in a day
, Feb 2020
Definitely the tour to take if you're limited in time. Our guide Tamara is amazing! The tour was very educational, stunning places to visit, and really makes you want to return to Spain to see and experience more of what this great country has to offer.
This tour is contracted by I Love Madrid Tours which is located near the famous San Miguel Market. The reunion location was easy to find and we left promptly on time. It was an excellent itinerary. Lots to see in one day. It probably was not very detailed as other tours but it is great if you just want to see the highlights of these three cities. Nacho was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to personalize the tour a little bit to each person's taste which is nice. The van we went in was clean and we got to have a little walking tour in each city. The included lunch was great and it had a great view of the walls of Avila. What I most appreciated about the trip is we did not go to any of those tacky "craft" shops where you feel pressured to buy stuff. Would definitely be up for this trip again.
Visit Segovia, Ávila, and Toledo—three cities that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites—on a full-day tour from Madrid that features ancient battlements, a soaring cathedral, a historic monastery, and more. Coordinated tours and transport make the most of your travel time so you can cover more ground without rushing to catch trains or find buses; traveling with a guide takes you straight to the three cities’ essential sights.
Our family enjoyed this tour, we learned quite a bit and took notice of areas of Madrid that we would later return to, to spend additional time. Our tour guide (Alex) was knowledgeable and personable, he made the tour fun. I would highly recommend this tour!
Madrid is a grand, picturesque city with so much to see that it's easy to miss the top attractions. On this guided walking tour, travelers get outside of the city center and uncover the hidden side of Madrid. See the city's stunning, 20th century architecture, its most literary neighborhood, and the house where Miguel de Cervantes wrote his magnum opus, Don Quixote. Along the way, learn about the history of Madrid and the Bourbon Dynasty.
Absolutely fantastic tour. Rodrigo, our guide, was full of knowledge about the wine of Spain and the wineries of our tour. Also he made the entire experience much better because of his incredible personality. The bodegas were wonderful and the owners provided personal tours for our small group. Lots of wine samples and tapas to go with them. Bottles were available for purchase at very reasonable prices 👍. We bought several! Also the bodegas and surrounding areas had lots of history and Rodrigo was able to share his extensive knowledge with us. Definitely take this tour and ask for Rodrigo if you can.
Our guide, Rodrigo Gonzalez, was an excellent resource for our wine-tasting trip. In addition to his insights on the Spanish wine regions, he also was able to contribute interesting information on Spanish history and knowledgeable recommendations for tapas places. We have enjoyed many tours like this in Argentina, France and the United States, but we found the wineries chosen for this trip to be truly unique. We highly recommend this tour to visitors to Madrid.
Visit 3 wineries and taste more than 10 wines in Madrid Wine Region (D.O Vinos de Madrid). Escape the metropolitan mayhem of Madrid in favor of the verdant vineyards of Vinos de Madrid on a full-day Spanish wine tour. Accompanied by an accomplished guide, explore the beautiful wine-making region and learn about complex production processes in atmospheric wine cellars, known as bodegas. Sample signature wines grown in the area and gain fascinating insight into the culinary heritage of Spain’s capital city on this enriching epicurean tour.
The tour guide Benny was very knowledgeable and clear, answer all questions. The bus was very comfortable, the only remark was the driver very often brake and stop the bus real hard and rough, causing One time for my wife hit the front tray in the chest.
This is a great basic tour of both cities; we happened to go when both were colder and experiencing wintry weather but still had a great time visiting both Segovia and Toledo. David was a good guide and made sure to give us a thorough background of the cities and answered our questions. Being given some information about the locations on the bus before arriving was helpful too so you get an idea of what you're seeing and some history before you arrive. You have enough free time in each place to explore on your own a bit and the price is definitely more than fair for a full day's trip!
Experience two UNESCO World Heritage cities in one day on this tour to Toledo and Segovia. See Segovia’s narrow streets and preserved Roman aqueduct. Uncover ancient mysteries during a guided tour of the ancient fortress, the Alcázar. In Toledo—the city of three cultures—discover the architecture and history of Muslim, Jewish, and Christian societies who once lived here and take a guided tour of the Cathedral of Toledo (optional).
We went to the tour, even though it was raining. It was good, informative and fun.
The only thing the meeting place instructions were inaccurate. We were not the only ones to find this - all the participants this day met at the same place. We had to ring Trip Advisor to find out where the office was.
Admire the spectacular sights of Spain’s vibrant capital on a bicycle tour of Madrid. With a knowledgeable guide, cycle at a leisurely pace to important monuments like Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace of Madrid. Stop intermittently to listen to illuminating commentary from your expert guide, and to capture photographs of Madrid’s historical and architectural highlights. All safety equipment is included on this tour.
We had a wonderful time on this trip. The host guide on the bus (Grace) was knowledgeable and entertaining, and a good story teller in many languages. I would make one suggestion: that the optional side trips be payable by credit card, as not everyone has the necessary cash in euros. (We took the 4 optional trips, they were all good value.) All the guides in the various locations walked at an easy speed, everyone found it easy to keep up, even one 90-year old tour member.
It was my first visit to cities that flourished under the Moslems. The Alhambra palace in complex in Granada was the most impressing. The palaces, mosques, old neighborhoods with their narrow and cobbled streets, the architectural details of houses including doors, windows and other features send your imagination back to few centuries ago. It is a marvelous experience.

Travel from Madrid in an air-conditioned vehicle to Cordoba, where you'll take a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed city and its impressive monuments. Spend two nights in the regional capital, Seville, and then explore the Alhambra in Granada, another World Heritage Site. Conclude your excursion with a stroll around the walled city of Toledo.
Madrid Food Tour - Spanish Local Gastronomy & History 3-course Lunch or Dinner
A Great intro to the Tapas Scene in Madrid
, Jan 2020
Great experience! It was a Sunday night and the only other couple scheduled had cancelled, so we basically had a private tour. Our guide Alfonso was extremely knowledgeable about the local food scene and the historical setting. We sampled a great selection local tapas, Jamon and other meat products, and then a variety of seafood. There was a great selection of excellent Spanish wine to go with it all, and some very good advice about wine choices. The whole thing was capped off with a visit to the famous Chocolateria San Gines for churros and hot chocolate. We had a great time chatting up Alfonso about all things spanish. None of the venues, except the Chocolateria, were touristy places. The meeting point was easy to find and only about 100' from the Opera Metro station. We highly recommend this tour.
We had a great night trying four completely different tapas and some great restaurants / bars. Our host was incredibly informative and fun. He really knew his stuff and took great care of us. We were just getting over an illness and were worried it would be a long walk, but he adjusted to our pace, which make it completely doable. Would highly recommend.

Never a bad bite! Jackie, our guide is amazing! Great food, historical walking tour as well, so definitely the ideal tour for those with limited time in Madrid. We would highly, highly recommend this tour!
Took this tour based on all the five start reviews and we were not disappointed. Oliver our guide and a group of six were a lot of fun. We got a good amount of history with great food and wine. Oliver shared his love of Spain and Madrid. I would do this again.
I did two tapas tours while in Madrid and this was by far the best of the two. Meridith was a great guide! She offered great information about the food and drinks at eat place, helped with recommendations, and gave great history/cultural information. The food/drink was great and very filling. I highly recommend this tour!

Good if you want a comfy bus ride and nothing else.
, Dec 2019
Tour advertised guided walking tours, but when we opted out of buying add-on tix to cathedral and monuments, we found out this also excluded us from the audio guide she passed out for commentary as the group walked from place to place. Not explained well. Just as well as our guide was bored and not very informative during the bus ride, so I doubt we missed much insight. Lots of posted info along the way as we explored on our own.
Cities are amazing and well worth the trip. So take this tour if you want to avoid the hassle of public trains and buses, but not for the guide.

I loved Toledo
, Jan 2020
I loved this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. On our way to Toledo the guide started telling us what we should expect and how the group was going to divide since some people chooses the wine tasting over the Church. Toledo is a very picturesque town. The views from the top are fantastic. Also you get free time to roam around get souveniers and or get lunch. Overall I really liked this guided tour.
Toledo is a marvelous old city with lots of historical value. It's perfect for a day trip from Madrid, and this tour was a great opportunity to see Toledo and experience it. The friendly and knowledgeable guide, Patricia gave us a lot of information but in easy to understand way.
The only problem we have was at the waiting point to return to Madrid. It was raining very hard and the bus driver would not let us on this bus. It was uncomfortable. In the future, please tell the driver 1) the name of the tour company and 2) the name of the guide, so that he can allow the participants to board.

Definite must do!!!
, Dec 2019
Raul was exceptional! He was very knowledable and had a great way of sharing his knowledge with everyone. The lunch was totally above our expectations as it included 5 courses with even more wine. The best wine tour we have been on, well worth the price.
We had a lovely day .. picked up at our hotel by Raul .. he was wonderful and friendly ... very informative about the wineries and gave us helpful info that enhanced the rest of our stay in Spain.. lovely wineries and lunch .. definitely a positive experience .
I cannot say enough great things about this tour. Our guide Camilo was excellent and extremely knowledgeable of wines and wine making. The wineries themselves were awesome and the staff was exceptionally friendly. We visited two wineries and had tastings at both followed by lunch. I just wish we could have brought more wine home with us.

We had such a great time learning about all of the awesome food markets in Madrid. Our chef spoke perfect English and was so funny. She was very helpful to everyone in the class in spite of their experience with cooking. We made luscious Paella Mixta, Sangria, and Crema Catalina! I highly recommend this activity to learn more about how the locals in Madrid shop and prepare their delicious food.

Get hands on as you create classic dishes such as tapas, gazpacho, or paella; master new skills under the guidance of an expert chef; then sit down to feast on your homemade creations, accompanied by a glass of Sangria.
An excellent experience in this small group introduction of the best of Old Madrid. Daniel provided an interesting introduction to the history and food of the city. Do this early in your visit; you’ll be going back to the places visited on your own. Our guide Daniel was great!

El Escorial Monastery and the Valley of the Fallen from Madrid
A Thought Provoking Tour For Sure!
, Jan 2020
Our guide, Anoria, was an awesome guide. Her English was excellent! She took her time explaining everything that we were looking at El Escorial Monastery and the Valley of the Fallen. We were not permitted to take pictures inside of either place but there are inexpensive guide books available for both that give additional information. Our bus ride was very comfortable. I recommend this tour as an easy way to get between both of these places.
El Escorial was beautiful, but I feel like we (almost) ran through the highlights-- speed walking through the library, for example. I understand the need to keep things moving at such a popular attraction, but this was December and not very crowded. The Basilica @ Valley of the Fallen was so unusual and fascinating yet there was no tour guide support for this part of the visit.
Discover Spanish history on a guided half-day visit from Madrid to the monastery of El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen monument. Accompanied by a guide, delve into the history of the religious El Escorial complex and discover why it was considered the eighth wonder of the world. Then see the sculptures at the Valley of the Fallen monument built to honor those who died during the Spanish Civil War.
