great trip. we slept about 5 hours off and on very comfortable recliners. the 2 meals at 7 and noon were tasty and sufficient. crew were friendly without pandering. getting off and on the boat was not flat but had a good incline with a hand held rail. the highlight was stopping at the village to walk on lanes thru the connecting houses, see people working , observe the ingenuity with designing structures with wood, and knowing that the company supports the village school and other projects for out ability to gawk and peak without the need for us to give money.
We liked the whole travelling with the boat even visiting the village was interesting, but I would recommend to inform the passengers more about the different culture and not touching al the children there without asking (same for fotos) otherwise it is very respectless acting with other human beings. (Handout in different languages?)
But again we enjoyed the boat, the crew and the whole tour!
Great way to get to Bagan. You get to see an amazing sunrise and do a peaceful boat ride along the river. You get to see life around. And great service on board with a stop to a village. I recommend it.
Cruise the Ayeyarwady River between Mandalay and Bagan, trading uncomfortable overland travel for a beautiful day on the water. This tour includes the option to add breakfast and lunch on board, with trips available both from Mandalay to Bagan, and upstream from Bagan to Mandalay.
The driver was 1/2 hr early. The drive was as comfortable as could be expected on bumpy roads. The driver tried to be as informative as possible with his broken English. Had a comfort break halfway and fees were paid on our behalf. All in all a pleasant experience when travelling in the unknown.
The car arrived early, which was great. The driver was very courteous and friendly. The car was clean.
We were able to stop whenever we needed to.
We did think, that at times, some of the drivers maneuvers were a bit risky, but perhaps that is just how the traffic flows here?

Picked up from my hotel at 8am by Joshua. I was the only person on the tour so a lot of flexibility on where to go and what to see. Mandalay is amazing, so many temples and pagodas it was amazing. Joshua was a great guide, good English and we even stopped for an authentic lunch which was amazing. Would highly recommend this tour, it was a great day and well worth it
I was really pleased with the tour. The driver was excellent and very helpful and the company that runs the tour were flexible enough to allow me to make minor changes to the pre-agreed schedule. It is a good option and good value for money if you don't need an English speaking guide to fill you in with details, but simply needs a driver to take you around.

I had 2 trips with Lim from the Royal Gold Myanmar tours and travels company. One to the 4 ancient cities - Mingun, Sagaing, Amarapura & Innwa and the other to Pyin OO Lwin. Both were very comfortable and relaxed tours. I had a great time. The tour operator is very prompt in communication and Lim the driver was always on time and visited all the places with me as I was solo. He also provided wet wipes to clean my feet after visiting each pagoda. The only thing is all tickets have to be paid by customer so I would not recommend someone to visit Innwa city as it's not for everyone and you would end up spending about 26.5K kyats there for horse cart ride + ticket + ferry. It's way too ancient. But overall the trips were great and operator is recommended.
