Haleakala Maui Sunrise Tour with Breakfast and Pickup
A Must Do
, Feb 2020
Our tour guide was amazing! She is the only female tour guide on the mountain. She made sure we understood the reverence required and shared invaluable knowledge about the history of Hawaii, the culture, people and the language. We are coming back to Maui in a few years and we can’t wait to have this experience again.
We felt lucky to be on the trip with Nettie who knew all the tips and tricks for maximizing the experience on Haleakala! The tour was well-organized, and Nettie was knowledgeable and fun! Loved this adventure and will treasure the memories!
Experience an incredible daybreak view from top of Maui’s highest peak during this 7- to 8-hour Mt. Haleakala sunrise tour. Journey with a guide to the summit of this massive volcano to witness the orange and red-colored dawn of a new day set amidst the clouds, enjoying the sublime beauty of a sight that once inspired literary great Mark Twain. This Maui sunrise excursion also includes round-trip hotel transport, continental breakfast and entrance fees.
Wonderful three level boat with restrooms. Very professional and entertaining crew. Breakfast and lunch was included. Limited cocktails were all just $2.00. We even got lucky this time of year with all the whales we saw traveling to and from Molokini. I would definitely recommend this experience.
Over 200 different species of fish inhabit Molokini Crater, and you have the chance to search for them all aboard this Maui snorkeling tour. Inside this ancient volcanic caldera that rises up out of the sea, you might also find manta rays, sea urchins, eels, or even a harmless shark. This tour also stops at a spot called Turtle Town along the Maui coastline, where you have the chance to swim alongside enormous Hawaiian Green sea turtles. Enjoy amenities like a glass-bottom viewing room and snorkeling equipment as well as a buffet lunch on the triple-decker catamaran.
The boat was great, the captain and his crew were happy and knowledgeable and did everything they could to ensure we had the best experience possible (even took some time on the way back to checkout some whales jumping!). The boat size was just right for a snorkel tour. Those big boats cause too much congestion in the water to have a good time snorkeling. The water conditions were far from ideal on the way we went, but that is not in their control and they did a good job finding us places that had reasonable visibility.
Imagine swimming in a sunken volcano that teems with thousands of fish, while splashing in crystal clear water. On this Molokini snorkeling tour, cruise out to the crater, before jumping in the crystalline waters and scouring the colorful reef. Make a second stop dependent upon conditions, and search for turtles at Turtle Town or a spot named Coral Gardens. This family-friendly Maui activity is one of the island's most popular, and an unforgettable day of exploring the underwater world.
A truly memorable experience. There is so much to learn and see, I don't think it would be possible to prepare for this trip on my own. Also, the road is treacherous and requires more than your full attention, leaving little opportunity for observing the sights. Wayne was an excellent guide; helpful, courteous and very knowledgable. This tour is certainly worth the price.
From start to finish ... We were very happy a van came to our resort to pick us up. Then seeing a van with comfy seating! AL our guide was happy, knowledgeable and ready to go. He made the excursion through the rain forrest well worth the money! The places we stopped to eat was fabulous! We learned interesting facts about Maui. We felt safe on the crazy road to Hana! Definitely take this tour you WILL NOT REGRET IT!
The Hana Luxury Tour was all that we hoped it would be. I have been to Hana several times over the last 40 years. It was such a pleasure not to drive and to have a knowledgeable and helpful driver/guide. This tour was recommended to me by a long time resident of Maui as the best one and she is right!
Discover the incredible landscape and hidden sightseeing gems along the road to Hana during this small-group sightseeing excursion by deluxe limo-van. This iconic Maui roadway offers plenty of twists and turns, plus an amazing wealth of attractions and activities. Stop for pictures above the towering lava cliffs, explore a tropical garden, swim in the crystal-clear pool below a waterfall, and dig into a picnic or an optional Pacific-Rim style lunch. A guide, breakfast, chilled drinks entrance fees, and round-trip hotel transport are also covered.
Small-Group Road to Hana Luxury Tour and Helicopter Flight
Best way to see Hana
, Feb 2020
We loved taking the afternoon tour. It seemed that the crowds had diminished and we didn't have to share the black sand beach with very many people. We were served a variety of roll ups for lunch, along with pineapple, pasta salad, and brownies. It was all fresh and flavorful. The helicopter portion was delightful, we saw our Kihei condo and favorite beaches on the way to the lava fields. Our van driver, Aaron, is a wealth of island knowledge and able to add fun insights into many aspects of our day. We have driven much of this road in previous trips, it was nice to sit back and enjoy the views this time.
It was wonderful! Our guide who drove us to Hana, Gayle, was friendly and knowledgeable. She knew the road well, which is important since that road is so small and dangerous in places. She stopped in all the best places and told us much about the culture. I have celiac disease and was offered a gluten free lunch instead of the regular lunch. Water and juice was all included. I have done the Hana trip before and usually they keep driving on around the island after reaching Hana and that part of the island is not pretty and kind of dull. Much of that road is not very smooth. This time, after reaching Hana, we took a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter ride back to where are cars were parked but Derek the pilot took us all around Haleakala the volcano as well as across the ocean between Maui and Molokai to see the many whales with their calves in the ocean. IT was amazing! Overall it was a wonderful trip and my 17 year old granddaughter said the black sand beach was the "coolest thing I've ever seen" which is high praise.
I am really torn writing this review because I still feel that this could have been an excellent tour, but we were drawn a bad card from the start.
To begin, the day of our tour there was awful weather. It was rainy and very windy. From the second we pulled into the parking lot, I had a bad feeling that our tour wasn't going to be anything like what is advertised. I fully understand that the tour company can't control the weather, so I'm not faulting them for that, but they could have postponed our tour for a different day or offered a refund from the get-go.
The second we pulled into the parking lot we were instructed to pay the parking meter, but we opted to check-in first to make sure the tour was still on. The person at the front desk instructed us NOT to pay the meter as he didn't think we'd be going on the tour. When we told our guide that we were told not to pay he consistently told us that that was false and we needed to pay the meter. Within 5 minutes of arrival, we already were in an argument with our guide and he wouldn't take someone else's word for what is was worth.
Regardless of the bad weather, we were told we'd still be doing the Road to Hana in the rain, and about 30 minutes before the helicopter was scheduled to take off, we'd find out if we were flying. Let me tell you, the Road to Hana in pouring rain is not fun at all. No one wants to get into a waterfall to swim when it's overflowing with rain water and filled with mud. We consistently slipped around in the mud trying to make the most of the day. Our guide, Scott, was also quite aggressive that we had to get the perfect picture and pretty much forced us to go get pictures in the rain. At every turn, he asked for someones camera even when no one wanted a photo. We all reluctantly kept giving our cameras over because we felt bad, but he just couldn't take no for an answer!
Low and behold, we got to Hana, the sun did come out for 30 minutes, we had a mediocre lunch, and we were told the helicopter wouldn't be flying due to the bad conditions. So instead of our tour ending at 12:30, we not had to drive +2 hours back on the Road to Hana. We didn't arrive back from the tour until closer to 3pm.
The tour company did offer a half off refund or the ability to reschedule the helicopter tour for a different day. We opted to fly two days later, but it did require us to drive back to Blue Hawaiian helicopters again which added another hour of our vacation in the car.
Travel the famous Road to Hana in style, enjoying a luxurious small-group sightseeing roadtrip by limo-van and a stunning helicopter flight back, during this 6-hour adventure. Sit back and relax inside your plush limo-van on the way to Hana, stopping at Hana Tropical Gardens, the Hawaiian hamlet of Ke-anae and at a gorgeous waterfall, where you’ll have time to swim. You’ll also enjoy a beachside lunch before eventually boarding a helicopter for an incredible 36-minute flight above Haleakala Crater and the island’s rugged coast. This luxurious small-group trip to Hana also includes a professional guide.
What a great experience. Kaipo was a friendly guide who kept us laughing while filling us in on Hawaiian history and lore. By the end of the tour, we were saying good bye to all of our new found friends.
I really enjoyed this Road to Hana. Our guide Justin was super informative, laid back, and had a good sense of humor. He is a local from Kaupo so he provided us extra insight on how he was raised, etc. Overall, a very good trip considering how long the day was and the van was very comfortable considering some of the rough terrain. I come from an aviation family so I was super excited to see Charles Lindbergh's grave or at least talk about it. However, he never even mentioned us passing it so I was kinda disappointed about that because it was mentioned on the itinerary. That was my only complaint overall.
Take an epic journey along the stretch of picturesque roadway known as the Road to Hāna on this full-day tour that highlights the best of Hawaii's natural beauty and stunning landscapes. See beautiful beaches, quiet coastline, and towering waterfalls as you make your way across the Kalepa Bridge, where the highway continues to Kīpahulu on the Piilani Highway. This journey through the iconic narrow highway is comprised of 59 bridges and more than 600 curves taking travelers in and out of rain forest and tropical foliage.
Enjoyed our day and Eddie was a great host. He had a lot of knowledge of the island and was well spoken and you could hear him even in back of bus. Bus was clean and comfortable. Be prepared for a day of sitting.
Beacause it rained all day I was grateful that Ky was driving the zigzaggy road to Hana. He handled the switchbacks with ease and so we were able to enjoy the scenery. Ky was very knowledgeable about the flora and history of the area.
The rain made the stops less enjoyable than normal but the umbrellas provided helped immensely.
Let’s start with our guide, Kai! He was so energetic and thorough! He cracked us up all day long and it was very evident that he loves his home, Maui! His knowledge of plant life was unbelievable!
The van was comfortable and clean and it was easy to take in all the beauty along the ride. I recommend sitting on the left side because the road hugs are so cool and thrilling!
Kai pretty much let us dictate our day with plenty of stops along the way.
Just a marvelous experience all around. Mahalo! Maui - no ka oi!
Hit the world-famous road to Hana during the full-day sightseeing tour of this byway’s lush farms, scenic overlooks, and rich Hawaiian history. Try to keep your jaw from dropping as you proceed along this iconic north-Maui route, passing postcard-perfect scenery at Wai'anapanapa State Park, Ho’okipa Beach Park, and Waikani Falls. Continue on to Ke’anae, a historic Hawaiian hamlet known for its fisherman and photo-worthy atmosphere, and see the final resting place of aviator Charles Lindbergh. A guide, round-trip hotel transport, and lunch are all included.
Get off the beaten path to explore the wild side of Molokini on this half-day adventure from Maui. The small, crescent-shaped island of Molokini is an extinct volcanic crater with a thriving coral reef, home to more than 250 species of fish and 38 species of coral. Hop aboard a 54-foot, single-deck catamaran and jump in the water for a snorkel at the Turtle Arches reef. Then, cruise around Molokini's rugged, red rock back wall, home to a variety of seabirds. Snorkeling equipment plus a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, and refreshments are included.
This was more expensive than the other luau's (Drums of the Pacific and the Old Lahaina Luau) but we thought it was worth it. They great you with terrific tasting and looking drinks. If you don't drink alcohol, they have one on the greeting tray that is non alcoholic. They can also make any of the lovely drinks on the menu without alcohol. We had a great waitress who came around often for drink orders and the pace of the food and entertainment is great. We loved the fact we got 3 plates to share of all the different cuisines for the different cultures like Polynesian, Samoa, Tahiti etc. This is also a sit down served meal which I like much better than a buffet.
Make sure you come hungry!! They do a great a job of spacing the food out and providing wonderful music between the island shows. The setting is amazing with the sunset. Try to be up front if possible, the only thing I wish was better is that we were up front during the fire show. (It was AMAZING). Service is wonderful and the staff was gracious. Tahiti was my absolute favorite food!!
At 'The Feast at Lele' luau in Lahaina, take a journey across Polynesia just steps from a white-sand beach. Located on famous Front Street in Lahaina, this Maui luau is a culinary journey through the Polynesian islands and is capped off by song and dance performed to a sunset backdrop.
Our tour guide, John Hess's knowledge and enthusiasm were fantastic. We saw a lot of whales, mainly from a distance until the very end when we came upon a mom and baby. They stayed right with us for quite awhile, it was awesome. The kayaking was an adventure also with the surf rolling and launching and beaching became a little intense. Great Day !
This excursion was amazing.
My wife and I saw more turtles than we have before anywhere...and the bigger ones are pretty friendly.
John are guide was fantastic.
Very knowledgeable, found all kinds of sea life for us, took his time, waited for another group to leave before going into the prime spot.
Would definitely recommend John.
Took pics of the trip for us...we will be back for this one!!!
John S. was amazing instructor. He show the group everything and he was genuinely nice. He made me feel comfortable in the snorkeling section since I cant swim and I was having mini panic attacks. He was really caring and knowledgeable. I really appreciate him.
Maximize your chances of seeing Hawaiian green sea turtles on this small-group kayak and snorkel tour. Paddle from Makena toward Turtle Town, a snorkeling location along the island’s southern coast, and explore the calm, clear water to spot these beloved marine animals.
Mika, David and the tall good looking guy I can't remember his name shame on me! These 3 were amazing men, they totally made you feel comfortable and made our first time zip lining very memorable!! Can't wait to do it again! Thank you
This is a must do! Incredible experience for those looking for excellent excursion. The fun you have jumping off large platforms in the high trees ROCKS! The three guides we had Absolutely Made it Awesome for our entire Family! We will be Back!
This outing was one of the best of our trip to Maui! I was a bit apprehensive at first but our guides (Micha and Sammy) did an outstanding job of making it easy for everyone in our group! They knew the history of Camp Maui and the scenery was outstanding. Nothing like zipping along, looking at the ocean! Would do it again, wonderful time!
Zoom above the treetops and enjoy stellar ocean views during this zipline adventure tour at historic World War ll base, "Camp Maui." Fly across several ziplines, cross the high-altitude suspension bridge, and try other obstacle challenges. Enjoy incredible views of Maui’s North Shore and the Pacific Ocean, plus learn plenty of facts about the island’s unique wildlife, culture and history too. Be sure and check out the new museum at Camp Maui dedicated to the men and women who served there.
Get your adrenaline pumping on a daring 1.5-hour zip-line adventure through Maui’s tropical forests. Hike along the treetops on a wooden plank bridge, and then glide along five zip-lines that take you past Haleakala volcano, near the entrance to Haleakala National park. Feel the wind rushing past as you take in lush, tropical views, and learn abut Maui’s diverse natural environment from your guide.
Cannot say anything negative about this tour! Every crew member was friendly and welcoming, the food supplied was amazing and catered for all dietary requirements and the overall experience was exceptional. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who wants to snorkel Molokini! It has been the absolute highlight of our trip to Maui!
We can’t even dream of a day that could be better than our day yesterday. Captain Dan and the crew were absolutely wonderful to the 3 of us! Food was great, snorkeling was great! The time and info spent whale watching were a HUGE bonus. TIP—spend the $5 for the wetsuit top-great insulation! If we could give them a 10 out of 5 rating, we would!
The Four Winds II crew is very professional, knowledgeable, outgoing and friendly. One of our group is an adult who does not swim. The Four Winds II has a snorkeling board that allowed her to safely float in Molokini and enjoy the experience. The crew ensured her safety by providing a floating vest plus managing getting her off and on the boat. We observed the SNUBA group from above as the crew had two scuba divers give them a fabulous experience. The crew also provided lifeguards at Molokini for visitor safety. The Breakfast and Lunch are excellent. Since it was January we were fortunate to view several Humpback Whales during the excursion. The captain respectfully managed our interaction with these amazing animals.
Snorkeling in Molokini Crater is undeniably one of the best parts about visiting Maui. Here in this crescent, submerged volcano off Maui’s southern coastline, over 250 species of fish inhabit a world-class reef. Experience water so exceptionally clear you can see down 75 feet, and swim with schools of tropical fish while cruising the vibrant reef. You can also just sit and suntan on the deck, with sweeping views of Haleakala set just off the back of the boat.
Best day we have had in a long time, our tour guide Lee was so informative and professional thank you Lee you were amazing we learned so much about the history of Maui and loved the sights especially the swimming pool with the waterfall, the green turtles
This is a must do tour for all visitors
Michelle and John

With an informative guide behind the wheel, this is one of the best ways to visit Hana—especially if you don’t want to drive!
Mahalo Cameron that tour was phenomenal!! I loved your personality and narration during the tour!! You are the luckiest man to have such an awesome office view daily!! Smooth flight and very informative!! The best way to see maui iin my opinion no traffic peaceful and serene!! I loved it!! Mahalo plenty!! Much aloha. Dana and Chris Nolan
I booked this helicopter tour for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had a great time, Troy was our pilot, and he did a fantastic job. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. The whole experience was fantastic. The views were incredible, the doors off tours are the way to go. We plan on doing all the tours they offer!
Soar above scenic Maui and Molokai on this unforgettable ‘doors off’ helicopter flight. Feel the island breeze in your hair as you enjoy the only doors-off helicopter flight on Maui, gliding above scenic vistas of towering waterfalls, sparkling rainbows, and unspoiled valleys thick with rainforest.
Maui Sunset Dinner and Dance Cruise from Lahaina Harbor
, Jan 2020
Overall nice experience. The boat was a bit dated and loud. The food was delicious and for everything you got it was worth it. Seemed a bit long. The music was great...they talk about a dance floor but never saw it or certainly no one was dancing. Considering this was also a whale watching experience we didnt see any whales, which was odd considering we had seen several earlier in the week during snorkeling and random roadside stops. the cruise was nice but like I said seemed a little long and once it was dark there wasnt really anything to do other then look at the lights on the shore and listen to the music.
When I booked this cruise it was a gift to newly weds and I booked a table for 2 so they could be alone and enjoy. They ended up at a table for 4 people. Apparently there was a party of 45 people that changed everyones seating. I understand from the couple they were not the only ones that did not get the seating thatvwas paid for. Very disappointing that a company would rearrange seating and not even let you know. However, they did say the food and music was good, but didn't make up for what was planned as a romantic cruise for 2!!!
On this romantic Maui dinner cruise, cast the bowlines off the dock and cruise the Maui shoreline, enjoying views of the West Maui Mountains and a fiery Maui sunset. Tableside wait staff serves food and drinks while a musician provides the ambience, and finish the evening beneath a blanket of stars as you slowly cruise back towards shore.

The tickets say to show up at 4...DO NOT DO THAT...they don't open the doors until maybe 30 minutes before the show starts. When we showed up early the woman was shocked when I showed her the instructions on the ticket. Luckily the hotel has a beautiful view and a great bar to fill the time. The food was delicious and the show was wonderful.
We were kinda worried going in to this luau after reading all the reviews but we experienced nothing like what other people mentioned. This is our first time in Hawaii and first luau we attended. We arrived at 5:30 and were immediately given a ticket and flower necklaces were put on us, at 5:45 we were seated and dinner was served at 6. The show kept us engaged and entertained the entire time. I believe they got an new MC and that’s who kept the show so lively. Would highly recommended to anyone visiting Maui!
Live drumming, traditional dances, and fire-knife performances create a thrilling luau dinner show centered on traditional Hawaiian culture. A beachfront sunset and dinner buffet (with special kids' options available) makes for an unforgettable evening. Book a general admission ticket for dinner and a show, or opt for the VIP choice to guarantee priority buffet access and front section seating.
Benny showed our two kids along with the other three surfers several basics in the somewhat dingy (but authentic) surf shop, then out to the water for all of them where they went a good half hour beyond the allotted time so that was nice. The kids said once in the water there wasn't really any more instruction other than to get them in the queue with all the others learning from other companies (there were probably about 25-30 learners all trying to go so it was a bit crowded. But both got up on the small waves but they were also a bit scraped up from the boards so we weren't able to follow it up later by just renting boards as they wanted to heal instead.
So fun; the instructors had both been surfing since they were kids and were great at spending personal time with each of us, teaching us in and out of the water. I was definitely addicted by the end of the lesson and just wanted to keep trying to catch waves.

Group Surf Lesson: Two Hours of Beginners Instruction in Kihei
, Feb 2020
We really enjoyed our experience on this lesson and would do it again in a heartbeat. It was worth every penny, and James & Mike were great instructors and did a good job getting everyone going and surfing in no time at all. Best of all, James' dog Church joined us for the lesson and can surf better than most people can! Really funny and unique touch to this lesson.
I signed up my adult daughter and teenage son for this lesson. At first I was a bit worried since they have never done it before and the weather was rainy and a bit windy. But once the lesson had started, my worries were gone. Lucas, their instructor, was an excellent instructor. They were standing up and surfing during their first lesson! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience for us.
The instructors gave clear, easy to follow guidance delivered with patience and a sense of humor. I have terrible balance, but even I was able to catch some waves with their help. My husband and I had a great time.
Catch a wave of excitement as you learn to surf during this 2-hour beginner’s, small-group, lesson in Maui. Join no more than 6 other students for an introduction to the fundamentals of surfing, including ocean awareness, water safety, riding skills and proper etiquette. You’re guaranteed to be surfing in one easy lesson, or your next lesson is free! An instructor, surfboard and rash guard are all included.
Excellent cruise and I recommend this package. The staff were very friendly. The food was very good. I had a Mai Tai and vodka lemonade and they were just ok. I think probably made with some premix but not quality ingredients in my opinion. I’m not a big drinker so not a deal breaker here. The only other observation is that the crew would walk by older women asking for drinks several times to attend to the young women. I get it—the crew are young too. As a mature woman, it’s a bit annoying when we get ignored and pay the same for the cruise. Just a bit of feedback.
Enjoy a ‘front-row seat’ for Maui’s epic sunset accompanied by handcrafted cocktails and snacks during this sailing cruise from Kaanapali Beach. Enjoy views of nearby Lanai, Molokai, and Kahoolawe from your boat, cocktail and food in hand, as the Hawaiian sky puts on its nightly display. Snacks, unlimited alcoholic drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages are all included.
Waterfall & Rainforest Hiking Adventure with Hotel Pickup
Favorite part of my Maui trip
, Dec 2019
Me and my boyfriend had never been do Hawaii before. Our very first thing we were doing there was this trip. I just have to say this was the best, most fun experience of my life. Sarah was the most amazing tour guide! She gave us so much knowledge, was extremely helpful for those who needed help crossing rivers, and made us feel safe. We were picked up on time, and taken back to our hotel on time. If youre someone that doesnt mind getting a little wet or a little muddy, youll be completely fine on this trip. The hike overall was a lot fun and not hard at all (and this is coming from someone who doesnt hike often). The sandwiches were very good, and a great refreshing thing to eat halfway through the hike. I loved that they had extra backpacks incase yours wasnt big enough, natural bug repellent to keep away the mosquitos, after bite, water, etc. 100% recommend to just about anyone.
My husband and I had a great time on the hike! The waterfalls were beautiful and it was nice to be away from the crowd of people at the public waterfalls. Steven was our guide. He is very knowledgeable and also very fun! He was very accommodating and made sure that everyone had a good time. I would definitely recommend this activity. Ask for Steven!
On this guided East Maui rainforest hike, experience the hidden, tropical beauty of the island’s lush interior. Here in one of the island’s most popular valleys, your guide will take you to sections of the rainforest that are well off the beaten track, where secret waterfalls spill into pools that welcome you for a dip. Adventurous visitors can climb up the rocks and jump towards the pools below, or simply relax in the jungle scenery while enjoying a refreshing lunch. This Maui waterfalls and rainforest hike is a total of 5-6 hours, and transport from your Maui hotel can also be arranged.
The Captain and mate were so knowledgeable about the whales, habitat nature. We learned so much and saw so many great and close up whales! One even went under our boat! Couldn't have been a better excursion.
Maui is one of the best spots in the Pacific to spot whales in the wild. With this small group tour from Lahaina, you'll head out to sea, where you'll likely not only spot whales, but also dolphins. There's also a hydrophone on board if you want to listen to whale songs. And if for some reason you don't see any whales on the day of your adventure, you'll be invited to take another trip at no extra charge.
