The Basics

The Frida Kahlo Museum is one of Mexico City’s most visited attractions and prebooking your admission tickets can potentially save hours of waiting in line, especially during peak times (weekends and holidays). Visitors can explore independently or on a guided tour, visit as part of a Mexico City tour, or combine a visit with other top attractions, such as the Xochimilco canals or the National University of Mexico.

After exploring the Casa Azul, it’s just a short walk to the former home of Kahlo's husband, artist Diego Rivera, now the Diego Rivera Mural Museum (Museo Diego Rivera), or that of her lover, communist revolutionary Leon Trotsky, now the Leon Trotsky House Museum (Museo Casa de Leon Trotsky).

Xochimilco, Coyoacán and Frida Kahlo Museum Tour
This is a great way to see a few must see site on your visit to Mexico City. The bus is clean and comfortable, with outlets for charging your devices. The tour guides are friendly, knowledgeable and bilingual. Lunch was somewhat underwhelming, served buffet-style at a local restaurant.

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide was great and we stayed on schedule (other than some traffic that couldn’t be avoided). The bus was comfortable and clean. The boats were a bit chaotic but in a charming way!

Tour to the Frida Khalo Museum + Coffee
Fantastic tour by Raul. Super professional, knowledgeable, patient, and energetic. Answered all of our questions, super prompt with the flow of the tour, energetic, took couples photos for us, and even got us a photo permit for the museum! Would DEFINITELY recommend you take the tour in the Frida Khalo museum - very limited signage in the museum.

Ticket to the Frida Kahlo Museum
Highly recommend using this service for a visit to the Frida Kahlo museum, Casa Azul. The access to the museum was as scheduled. Initially, a problem was experienced accessing the PDF ticket on my cell phone. Reached out to tour agent for help and received a real-time response who resent tickets. The Frida Kahlo museum should not be missed. The experience of this tour was quite memorable.

Highlights of the Frida Kahlo Museum

Casa Azul, with the rooms and gardens still in much the same state as Kahlo left them, offers insight into many facets of her life. Admire her Mexican folk art collection, see the bedroom where Leon Trotsky stayed during his exile in Mexico, and view some of her lesser-known artworks and rare self-portraits. A large collection of personal items, including the prosthetic leg she wore in the months before her death, is also on display.
