Historic Cave Tour

Historic Cave Tour

star-5
14
See the only remaining restored Gangster Era site. Historic Tour of extensive caves carved into the hillside in long-abandoned mining ventures in the 1800s. Later, was a mushroom farm, and then developed as a Restaurant Casino and Gangsters' Hotspot during the 1930s prohibition era. Newspapers reported an unsolved gangland murder at the casino. Tour guides point out the bullet holes. Some believe the caves are haunted by the murdered mobsters whose bodies were never found. The original Bar from the 30s has been fully restored, it was a then-record at 60 feet long. Though this tour is appropriate for all ages, we recommend ages 5 and up, due to shorter attention spans, and restlessness. For these younger guests, we recommend our tour: Troll Tales! please call with any questions.

Minneapolis Half Day City Tour - Walking

Minneapolis Half Day City Tour - Walking

star-5

Welcome to my Minneapolis! This is where I grew up and the city that keeps me coming back no matter where I roam. As an international tour guide, I spend a lot of my time excitedly researching and traveling to far flung destinations. It is with this same enthusiasm for foreign lands that I created this unique day tour of my hometown, which includes just some of the things I find remarkable about the city. This isn't a tour of historical facts and figures, instead, I want you to get to know Minneapolis by experiencing it! (Please note, this is a walking tour. You should be able to walk at least a mile. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water.)

Skyway Walking Tour - Minneapolis

Skyway Walking Tour - Minneapolis

star-5
4
Minneapolis is home to the largest, contiguous skyway system in the world! Originally designed to counter the 1950s post war suburban boom by revitalizing the city's retail core, today the second story walkways connect 80 city blocks and meander more than 9 miles. This is a great way to see the city - inside and out - during cool weather, hot weather, rainy days and the brutally long Minnesota winter, so pretty much year-round! There are so many treasures within downtown's unique architectural landscape, and the skyway system is sometimes the only way to see them. The skyway is such a huge part of our city identity, the Replacements even wrote a song about it, aptly named Skyway.
