Susan, our guide was excellent. She almost did like a personalized service, she took time to explained us every step of the trip, suggested restaurants and cafes, which we followed and had a terrific experience. Mark up our maps. She is amazing !!
Mark, is the best of best.
He was extremely knowledgeable, polite, kind and welcoming to all. He took the time to meet everyone personally on the train and also before and after the trip, making sure we did not have any unanswered questions.
Mark, is the best of best and you will be lucky if you get him on any tour.
Thank you, Mark,
The tour was fantastic, one of the best we have been on. A relaxing 2 hour train journey and taking in the amazing sights of Salzburg, a beautiful city. Our tour guide Martina was possibly the best tour guide we have had and we have had several great guides over the years. She was kind, warm-hearted and gave a sense that she genuinely cared about her role and clearly enjoyed it. The guidance was just right, not overbearing and gave you the right amount of detail, always available to discuss any questions, she was very attentive. We can't say enough about how great she made the trip, one of the highlights of our entire holiday. 10/10

Neuschwanstein Castle Small-Group Day Tour from Munich
Cool Bald Guy
, Feb 2020
Guide did not show up for some reason. Was told we might need to go without a guide and would just then take the train ourselves (w/o) a guide. I would have definately ask for a refund if that was the case but cool bald guy from the office ( sorry was not able to get your name). Got a complimentary beer and guy was pretty fun to listen to. History of castle was pretty mystrerious and fun. But the best of them all was snow!!!!
I recently went on this tour to Neuschwanstein castle and it was the highlight of my trip to Munich! I snowed in the morning before our arrival, so when we got there it was covered in snow, and so beautiful. Our guides, Anna and Veronica, kept us interested on the bus ride with history and facts about the castle and the villages we passed through on the drive. Anna led my half of the group up the path to the castle; even with the cold and snow she was good natured and knew so much about the history of the castle and the area. It was really interesting to hear the whole backstory of King Ludwig and then connect that story to all of the details on the inside of the castle. The actual tour inside the castle is pretty short, so I was really pleased with the in depth history and details we got from Anna on our walk up to the castle. On our return ride to Munich Anna walked up and down the bus asking people if they needed any suggestions for the evening or the rest of their trip. She recommended us to a great restaurant for dinner. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great day trip out of Munich, and I can't say enough how great Anna and Veronica were as our guides!
Travel from Munich to Bavaria’s Neuschwanstein Castle on this day trip that includes round-trip transportation by train. Often known as Germany’s "Cinderella castle," Neuschwanstein was actually the inspiration for a different Disney story, the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ castle at Disneyland. Take a guided tour of the castle, and hear stories about the "Mad" King Ludwig II, who commissioned it. The entrance fee is not included, but skip-the-line access is, so you won’t wait in the main admission queue.
A well recommend tour. It was excellent in every way, starting with being easy to find the location and the group. The English guide Mark was very friendly and well informative. He first explained the history of the city at the train, then he took us walking around the historical landmarks and telling the story of every monument. He also told us about the history behind the food and the chocolate. He is an excellent tour guid that I recommend for anyone wanting an English tour. Thank you all for everything.

Travel to Salzburg, forever associated with Mozart and ‘The Sound of Music,’ on this rail day trip from Munich. Relax on a scenic train journey to this historical Austrian city, and enjoy a guided walking tour of its UNESCO-listed Old Town, seeing the Mirabell Gardens, St. Peter’s Church, Mozart’s Birthplace, and more. Lastly, enjoy free time to stroll, shop, and sightsee for yourself, before your return train ride. Rail tickets and walking tour included.
I just returned from our day tour of Nuremberg. Our tour guide was Chris and he was full of information and very pleasant. The tour started on time and Chris went out of his way to show us as many of the historical places. We were not scheduled to go to the courthouse on this tour but because it was a young group and we were moving fairly quickly so we took a group vote and shorten lunch to half an hour and did it all. There is lots to see in Nuremberg so I would suggest that you would require more than a day to really see everything. It is an easy 2-hour train ride from Munich. Well worth the visit
The tour was relaxing and a really interesting but freezing day. The long history of Nuremburg being a highlight. The guide was great, I cannot remember his name other than he was Algerian French. A really cool guy, informative and friendly, he did well in keeping an eye on quite a large group and making sure everyone was together.
Discover beautiful Nuremberg — site of Hitler’s infamous propaganda rallies — on a 10-hour rail tour from Munich. Relax on the comfortable train ride to Nuremberg, take a guided tour of city attractions like Congress Hall and medieval old town, then enjoy some free time to make an optional visit to the Documentation Center. Soak up German history, sample local delicacies, and snap photos of the medieval and gothic accents that decorate this modern city.
It is so important that we talk about this and ensure that generation after generation is informed of the atrocities that took place at Concentration camps. This tour was amazing, despite the horror and I highly recommend it. I would do this tour again, no question! I was very fortunate to be in a small group - just 6 of us with the guide. Keith was our guide & he was super knowledgeable as well as an all around great guide!
This tour exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed our tour guide Geoff. He was very informative without being droll. The tour is emotional, for obvious reasons, but I think it is also a necessary addition to your time in Munich. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Gain insight into the Holocaust of World War II on this half-day tour of Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site from Munich. Learn how Dachau provided a model for all Nazi camps, and see the exhibitions and memorials, together with the reconstructed barracks and cells, as your guide provides illuminating, informative and sensitive commentary.
The trip was great, but we booked the tour to go by train from Munich, but they said the train was full so we had to take a bus while waiting at the train station. This was really disappointing. We did not receive any compensation for this change.
The discussion by the guide about Ludwig II was really all just gossip about his personal life with unsubstantiated claims. I would have rather head facts about the castle and the king instead of rumors.
The trip to the castle was fantastic. Taking in the Bavarian castle from the train and the snow covered alps in the distance. We start to learn about Ludwig and his unbelievable life - from his fascination with Wagner to the incredible castles he built. We had a fabulous day. Our guide Patrick was a brilliant storyteller and also looked after us the whole day - even offering dining suggestions for after the trip. A fantastic day seeing this fairy tale castle and discovering its history

Half-Day Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Walking Tour with a Local Guide from Munich by Train
, Feb 2020
Very interesting but sad tour. The meeting place was a popular visitor area and easy to find. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered questions confidently. The trip consisted of a train and bus ride which was all arranged by guide, overall excellent experience
Alex was fantastic from start to finish, train issues at the very start of the tour but Alex kept us informed of what was happening and about the delays etc, the whole tour was fantastic, Alex was informative and extremely knowledgable, he was able to answer all questions we had, very friendly and very easy to understand, I would recommend this tour and this company to anyone, although quite a hard/difficult topic it’s a must see if your in Munich.

Well our “small” group was 40 people. It reminded me of a field trip we would take in elementary school. Someone just herding us around. I felt it was very unorganized and a lot of waiting around for the guides to figure stuff out. Definitely would’ve saved the money and done the tour ourselves.

Recommend this tour if you are visiting Munich. Start place is easy to find & conveniently located. James was really good in covering as much history in the tour time. Visiting Dachau is a somber experience & James provided incredible insight. Adding half an hour more to let visitors read details at the memorial site would be a great idea. Everything else was wonderful about the tour.
James was an excellent tour guide. He gave us so much history about Dachau and all of Germany during that time. He did an awesome job of maneuvering our group through all the other tour groups and made sure we were able to see everything even though it was very busy that day. I would highly recommend James! He even helped point out other places to go around Munich.

Our guide was very informative on the history before, during, and after Dachau. He walked us through some of the more important sites, and also pointed out interesting things to us. Very heavy topic that he did a good job of explaining. Definitely a site to see.

English Speaking Tour of Dauchau for family of 4
, Feb 2020
My husband, two adult daughters (early 20s) & I spent the day with Jason for English language tour of Dachau. After promptly meeting us in our hotel lobby, he drove with us into Dachau from Munich in our rental car. Logistically, our trip was perfect from door to door, parking and the drive were easy, I drove the 30 minute trip with gps & Jason began with an overview of Dachau carefully & professionally answering our questions. Jason is an excellent tour guide. His has vast knowledge of WWII, Hitler & the Third Reich coupled with sensitivity explaining Dauchau complex history & it's significance today as a Memorial Site. We highly recommend Jason Eilers.
My husband and I toured Dachau this week. Our tour guide was Jeff. He was amazing and so very knowledgeable. He met us at the Munich train station and guided us to Dachau.
The site, as a memorial is so well done. I found it a fitting tribute to those who died there as well as those who suffered and survived. Is it hard to see the pictures and the video? Yes but...I think it is extremely important to tour it. With the rise of hate and hate groups around the world we must always remember what happened there and do all in our power to prevent it from ever happening again.
Please consider touring Dachau when you are in the area. We must never forget.
Our guide was Keith and he was amazing. So respectful, so informative and so helpful.
This tour is not one you can gush about - its sobering.
The tram and train ride was great - a good introduction for us. Keith took us all over the camp - explained everything very well and with so much respect.
Dachau is confronting - theres not much else you can say. Keith was fantastic and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

We had a fantastic day with Radius Tours and our guide Chris (from Australia). Highly recommend the private tour. He picked us up at our hotel (which was across from the train station) and caught the train to Nuremburg. The guide handles all the train tickets. Since it was just the three of us, we were able to see the Court House of the Nuremberg Trials (catching the underground from the train station). Then walked around old town with a bit of time at the Christmas market. We then visited the castle before catching a train to the Rally Grounds and then a tram back to the train station before stopping at the opera house. We covered a lot in our 6 hours in the city (the train ride is 90 to 120 minutes each way). Chris knew his information and was very accommodating.

Dachau Concentration Camp was the first to be opened by the Nazis, the longest open, and the training school for SS officers. It is a tragic truth that many of the ruthless and cruel practices used by the Nazis throughout the Third Reich period came from Dachau.
The KZ (Konzentrazion Lager/ Concentration Camp) was originally created for Political Dissent. Outspoken opponents of the Regime including priests, communists and other free thinkers were the original inmates. As were other undesirables like Jews, Homosexuals, Anti Socials, Sinti, Roma people and Polish.
For many in the Nazi administration, Dachau concentration camp was the most important in the system and while in operation was a complete microcosm of the entire system.
