He was very friendly all over the day and explain me about the animals at the park, help me to take the best pictures, take me to nice place for Lunch.... I back to the hotel at the night happy from every minute of the day! Nakuru Park is Amazing! to see 20 giraffes walking in the savanna was more than any of my dream about what is Safari. I want to thanks the Albert Koi that was my driver and tour guide for very nice and interesting day.
Beautiful wildlife! — Lake Nakuru National Park full day tour with excellent driver&guide
, Aug 2019
The tour I signed up for was a solo tour with Peter. Peter was friendly and informative, and he was also an expert driver and guide. He answered all of my questions about Kenya, which included not only about animals but also about culture, language, music and so on.
On the exciting game drive at Lake Nakuru, we had a chance to see many amazing animals such as zebras, impalas, gazelles, giraffes, lion & lioness, baboons, warthog, turtle, buffalos, waterbucks, kori bastard, flamingos, secretary bird, and rhinos. We were able to be close enough to take photos of a lion when it was yawning. Despite reports indicating otherwise, we saw plenty of flamingoes, pelicans, and many other birds.
In the afternoon, we joined an 1-hour boat ride at Lake Naivasha. We saw hippos, fish eagles, and more species of animals. We enjoyed fresh fish fritter for lunch by the lake.
Overall it was a fantastic day trip and a cool experience to see wild animals just being themselves. I truly enjoyed a perfect wilderness tour, and I highly recommend it.
The flamingoes that gather at Lake Nakuru National Park are considered one of Africa’s greatest natural sights, but the area’s wildlife and scenery go far beyond the bright pink birds. This 11.5-hour, private guided tour from Nairobi offers ample time to explore the park, spot animals on morning and afternoon game drives, and see birds and hippos from a boat on Lake Naivasha.

The amazing game drive
, Feb 2020
It was an amazing experience. My driver/guide Koi and his trainee, Safari were both very hospitable and helpful. I really enjoyed the experience most esp. the game drive. I would definitely like to experience other tours with Perfect Wilderness. Kudos to its team!
We are glad we got this tour.. we saw the giraffe and kiss them, we had enough time for shopping souvenirs , we were in the very front line to see the elephants on the orphanage, and our game drive in Nairobi national park in the afternoon was great, we had a close encounter with the white rhino which is very rare .. thanks Albert (our tour guide) for this day
I booked a day tour while on a business trip. Simba was a great guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, made sure we got everywhere in time to get a good spot and did his best to get close to animals in national park to get a good view. A wonderful day. The highlights for me were feeding the giraffes and seeing a lion.
Prepaid entrance fees and private transportation make for a foolproof day of Nairobi sightseeing. Visit top Nairobi sites such as Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre, and David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust—all with the benefit of a personal guide to share information about the local wildlife, history, and culture as you go.
Francis was amazing and lovely. He made sure we were at the Giraffe centre and elephant sanctuary first and recommended prime spots for photographing. Felt like VIP and great to have had entry prepaid which helped the first in line status!
We visited the Giraffe Centre first and spent a little over an hour feeding and learning about the giraffes at the centre. It was a wonderful experience and easy to interact with the animals. We the carried on to the elephant orphanage where we were able to witness rescued baby elephants being fed while learning about their individual rescue experiences. While the orphanage was an educational experience, I was a little surprised that it was only open for one hour each day, so hundreds of tourists packed through the doors at the same time, and we were only allowed to stand around and watch the feeding. There was no interaction between guests and the animals unlike the giraffe centre.
Learn about two of Kenya's most famous animals on this tour to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre. See the animals in a safe, contained environment focused on rehabilitation and conservation. This tour includes all entrance fees and private transportation for a hassle-free experience.
Nairobi National Park, Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Center and Karen Blixen Museum

Nice tour, but overpriced
, Oct 2019
Overall, I enjoyed this tour. However, at almost $100/person, it is very overpriced. It should be 1/2 that amount, at best. Our guide arrived over 2 hours late, so we were already tired and a bit frustrated by the time we got started. We enjoyed all of the sites though, especially the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Center. The Elephant Orphanage was a bit dull. Our guide was nice and kept us moving along from one site to the next.

Best day ever!
, Oct 2019
The booking process was flawless. Pick up from my hotel was perfect. Being escorted by Stephan, our Guide and driver, was an unparalleled adventure. He was the leader of the pack, literally. He knew exactly where to go and when gifting us leisurely looks at the big five. We were the first in line at every destination. He tracked down a lioness and she walked so close to the car that we could have reached out and pet her. Upon the wise advice of Stephan we refrained. Behind us trailed at least 30 cars desperate to catch a glance but only those of us upfront we’re able to spend minutes watching her stroll just feet away. We saw several rhinoceros up close. Giraffes in the wild. Herds of water buffalo and antelope and ostrich. Hippos put on a magnificent display, mouths wide-open teeth bared in dominance displays. Lovely lagoons full of bird and crocodile. We then went to the elephant orphanage ahead of the crowd once again where we were first in line to pet precious baby elephants. We watch them be bottle-fed and then they came right up to the fence and let us stroke their faces; their precious trunks extended to us. Once again, we left ahead of the pack and were the first at the giraffe reserve. There Steven took pictures of us hand feeding the giraffes, which we had to ourselves because once again we were at the front of the pack. after we had had our fill, the reserve filled with tourists packing every corner. but we had had priceless one on one moments with the giraffes.
All I can say is it look like there were several tours that had the same route and destinations. However, this tour in particular Stephan as our guide was undoubtedly the most knowledgeable and accomplished guide. He answered every question, was an extraordinary gentlemen, and the entire experience was a tremendous joy.
I think that if you can afford it it's really worth to pay for the trip. The guide will make all efforts to make u see as many animals as possible. I saw all the animals that u can see in the park. However, I guess that if u re travelling on a budget u should explore other options, specially if u re a solo Traveller. Nice experience over all
Animal lovers will love this full-day tour that takes visitors up close and personal with Africa’s majestic wildlife. First, enjoy a 4-hour game drive through Nairobi National Park where you can see cheetahs, hyenas, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, many species of birds, and even the rare black rhino. Next, tour an elephant orphanage and a giraffe sanctuary to learn more about these animals. Finish up the day with a visit to the Kazuri Beads factory before heading back to your hotel.

Safari in Kenya
, Sep 2019
I had plenty of time to go on a 3-4 day Safari but I decided to take this tour to see the wildlife. The Nairobi National Park is expansive and the wildlife abundant. We saw all of the animals up close including multiple Lions, Rhinos, and buffalo, herds of Zebra and Giraffe, crocodile, baboon, multiple bird species and Giselle. Great value and photography on this one day safari. The orphanages are a bonus.
Even if you only have one free day in Nairobi, check off Kenya’s animal wonders in double-quick time on this small-group door-to-door tour. Start at the Nairobi National Park and see some of the nation’s signature wildlife in nature. Next, tour the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant orphanage and the Giraffe Centre, stop at the Nairobi Mamba Village, and visit the Bomas of Kenya. Tour excludes entrance fees.
A bit disappointed to see fewer flamingos than I expected.
, Feb 2020
I visited Lake Nakuru a couple of days ago. While I enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the lake and the birds, I was somewhat disappointed because the number of flamingos was a lot less than I expected. The signature photo of the Viator tour for Nakuru Lake shows a huge flock of flamingos, but in reality, the number is fewer than shown in the photo, because of changing weather patterns. Also, you can't get too close to the birds because of the lake so the view is from quite a distance.
I was booked to go with other people but no-one else on my tour. I went solo. I was a bit worried but the trip was great seeing heaps of wildlife.
It was extremely cold in the morning on the drive to Lake Nakuru. The driver had his window opened and cold air was coming in the sides of the bus. I did suggest putting on the heat but he said we don't do that.
The driver was on his phone most of the game drive, he was not as knowledgeable as other game drivers I have had. But he was pleasant and I felt safe.
There was no place to get food or food stops were not offered to me. Luckily I had a packed breakfast from my hotel, which I had to make last the whole day. The driver stopped and said he had to get something and returned I believe he returned with food. But at no time did he ask me if I needed food or drink.
The whole reason for my trip was to see rhino and flamingos which I did see (not super close, but I could see them).
Being the only person in the bus I could see out both sides. This made the tip.
All in all it was a very good trip and I would recommend it to anyone.
Choose a private tour of Lake Nakuru National Park for morning and afternoon game drives across the floor of the Great Rift Valley, with the individualized service of a private safari guide throughout the day. Private transport from hotels in Nairobi means less time on the road, and even more time to watch for rhino, lion, giraffe, buffalo, leopard, and Lake Nakuru’s brilliant flocks of pink flamingoes.
Lonely Planet Experiences: Full Day Tour with the Maasai Tribe
A wonderful life time memory!
, Nov 2019
I can't recommend this tour enough! I had an unforgettable day with Daniel, Whisper and Emmanuel, as well as with the One Horizon Tour Guide, Caroline, who was absolutely amazing. It was a true privilege to be welcomed into their lives to hear about Masai culture and customs but even more fascinating was to learn of their own personal life stories (and to exchange with mine!). I was deeply grateful for their openness and inspired to hear of how they have overcome difficulties and stand as champions in their community. I will always remember this visit - it has had a profound personal impact on me and I will proudly and eagerly share my memories and learning widely!
I don't have words to describe how wonderful and personally impactful this trip was. I know I will never forget this experience and all that I have learned. I had deciced that this Kenya visit time around I wanted to learn more about the people of Kenya and this trip really offered this. I got a really go understanding of the Massai way of life, their customs and their society. Daniel and his family really welcomed me with grace and open arms and I feel extremely priviledged by their openess. It was a day of mutual curiosity and I am profoundly thankful for this experience.

Great day despite the rain!
, Oct 2019
We had a great trip, Alex was a good driver and didn't let a short breakdown affect anything. Saw Lions with Giraffe kill almost immediately at NNP, massive buffalo herd with babies, rhino etc, Quick pit-stop at Java was most welcome. David Sheldrick was great despite driving rain, Giraffe Centre a little overcrowded, Lunch venue very nice and great for kids with playground & enjoyed the short but interesting tour at Karen Blixen museum. Amazing day!

Full-Day Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Chimpanzee Sanctuary Tour from Nairobi
From $290.00 (Price varies by group size )
Good place to visit if planned well
, Dec 2019
I had done safari in Tanzania and seen most of the wild life so I wasnt looking for a full safari when I visted Kenya. However, Ol Pejeta got my attention because it could be done in 1 day trip from Nairobi and offered a chance to see Rhino and Chimpanzee that I had not see before. My Pick up was ready on time. After about 3.5 hrs drive we arrived at Ol Pejeta and did a game drive where I saw a number of animals and some rare rescued Rhinos which completed my Big 5. My guide/driver kept telling me about what we saw.
However, by the time we went to see Chimpanzees at around noon it was Chimpanzee's lunch time and they were away from the viewing. I was disappointed with this. Although I understand that wild life has no time-table and can not be for sure. But my understanding is in the sanctuary it must be a fixed time to give lunch to the animals, so instead of taking me for a game drive first, I may have been brought to the chimpanzee sanctuary first. Also, upon arriving I was first given a 10-15 min briefing by a resident guide which was helpful but if they knew that chimpanzees will be away for lunch soon, I should have been shown chimpanzees first and then briefed.
I wish they can plan this better in terms of timing and to make sure that the visitors get to see everything they can. I could not even get a clear picture of a Chimpanzee,
Felt a bit disappointed for a long day trip and still not able to see something that I wanted to, due to lack of planning,
This tour is worth it if you are fine with a long drive and a quick safari, that I was looking for.

Awesome day tour from Nairobi
, Nov 2019
Only had 1 full day in Nairobi and this was a perfect day tour to get out and see Kenya and the beautiful nature/wildlife it has to offer.
- Picked up by van at 7am from our hotel
- Approx. 2 hour drive from Nairobi to Hell's Gate, with a stop halfway at a beautiful overlook of the Rift Valley, with a gift shop where you can buy local art/trinkets/etc if you want. The long drive is a great experience because you get to see many sights and towns of Kenya.
- Bike ride is awesome, about 5 miles through the park to the entrance of the gorge, easy riding mostly flat. Helmets were not provided but the trail is not dangerous. Saw warthogs, zebras, dung beetles, giraffes, monkeys, impalas, gazelles, buffalo, birds. Scenery is beautiful. Then 5 mile ride back to the van.
- As of Nov 16 2019, the gorge remains closed due to flash flooding that occurred on Sep 2 2019. Park ranger said they plan to re-open the gorge after the rainy season.
- After bike ride, you have the option to either drive back to Nairobi, or go to Lake Naivasha and do a boat tour. The boat tour is $25 per person and for an additional $30 per person (both are cash only) you can do a walking tour with a local guide of Crescent Island Game Park where there are more wild animals. While expensive, we really enjoyed both and would recommend that the $55 per person is very much worth it.
- Departed Lake Naivasha at 4pm and returned to Nairobi just after 6pm
- Everything is at your own pace
- Last but not least, Albert was a great tour guide and very friendly. Thank you Albert!
-Tips: bring water or buy some before the bike ride, and bring sunscreen! Bugs didn't seem to be a big issue but use bug repellent just in case. Bring snacks as food is not included in the tour.

Private Hiking Day Trip to Mt. Longonot from Nairobi
From $148.72 (Price varies by group size )
, Jan 2020
I was picked up at my hotel by Peter at 6:00am, which is a good time because of the traffic, trucks, and road conditions going into the Rift Valley. Also the hike can be hot so you don’t want too start late. I wanted a good workout and Peter set a great pace that I really appreciated. He was also patient and informative. We stopped at several rest huts with benches. Its about 2 miles up from the gate to the rim and 1300 feet elevation gain. Going around the rim has a lot of ups and downs in order to reach the peak and is 4 miles around. Many times you need your hands to help climb. 2 miles back down for a total of 8.1 miles and 2648 feet elevation gain over the course of the hike. We saw giraffes, eland, and zebra. The views were tremendous. Peter was a careful and good driver and a good guide. We went to a swahili resort for lunch which was delicious. I chose not to do the boat ride, and arrived back at my Nairobi hotel at 3:45 pm. Just note that if you do decide to purchase lunch, you will be expected to buy lunch for your guide as well. Highly recommended, especially if you are tired of sitting in a safari vehicle and need to get out and move your legs.
Hike your way up Mt. Longonot on a private day trip from Nairobi, and admire the national park’s volcanic terrain of bubbling geysers and soaring rift valley cliffs. After your climb to the crater’s rim, you’ll relax with a lakeside lunch, then hop on a boat for a cruise around Lake Naivasha, looking for hippos and eagles as you go. The full climb and descent takes up to four hours, and a good general standard of fitness is needed.
We had a great tour with Kenya Bush Expeditions- driver Peter. All went well starting with a prompt pick up at the hotel. Peter was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and birds. Very accommodating when we wanted to stop for photographs. The vehicle was expertly driven over the rough terrain.we were very excited to see hippos, rhinos, giraffes, lions, buffalo, impala as well as a few other animals and birds.
Spot free-roaming wildlife at the edge of Nairobi on a Nairobi National Park game drive in an open-top safari vehicle. An early-morning departure means cooler temperatures and the chance to see the animals when they’re most active, prowling grassy plains and acacia bush with the dramatic backdrop of city skyscrapers.
Get a taste of Kenyan wildlife and culture on this guided tour from Nairobi. Visit the Giraffe Center and the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, one of the most successful elephant rescues in the world, before heading to a traditional bead workshop and a music and dance performance at Bomas of Kenya. A professional guide and private transportation ensure a comfortable and convenient trip.
Save time and visit Hell’s Gate and Lake Naivasha in a day. Avoid the hassle of organizing car rental and let someone else do the driving instead. This stress-free tour includes hotel pickup, drop-off, and transfers in an air-conditioned minivan. Get outside and explore the beauty of Hell’s Gate on foot, and have time to enjoy a boat ride at Lake Naivasha. Potential animals you might spot include hippos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and much more.
Overall, this is a good day trip from Nairobi. Hell's Gate and the boat ride were enjoyable and scenic. You're able to see several animals on both. NOTE: the Gorges walk is now closed. (That was the main reason I booked this one) They had flash flooding in November 2019 that killed 7 or so people at the Gorges and have since closed it permanently.
Bike, drive, hike, or sail your way through Hell's Gate National Park on this guided tour from Nairobi. Keep your eyes out for sightings of animals such as baboons and buffaloes inside the park, and then take the waters of Lake Naivasha to see hippos and birds. This tour also includes a visit to a Maasai community, hotel pickup and drop-off, and a break for lunch at your own expense
Half-Day David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Center, and Karen Blixen Museum Tour from Nairobi
From $25.00 (Price varies by group size )
Giraffes were amazing
, Feb 2020
Unbeknown to me this is an add on tour. The actual group starts at 6am. The tour coordinator didnt count me into the vehicle so I had to squish in the middle of the front seat. The driver picked me up and had to waste 1.5 hours for us to meet up with the actual group. He did take me to a souvenir shop so that was nice. Elephants were nice. But it was super crowded and seriously i would skip it if u have already seen elephants. The Karen museum i did skip but the few who did it said it was great. Our driver was willing to take us to a shop not listed in the tour. Dinner was expensive and took 1.5 hours. We rushed to the giraffe center. It was the highlight for me. It was wonderful and not overly crowded. I would have paid just for a driver to take me just to here. Amazing. If i compared it to a tour in the USA i would have been frusterated and disappointed. However, it isnt USA and I was happy to get out. We were 2.5 hours late getting back to the hotel. But hey it seems normal in Kenya that times are only a suggestion.
Visiting the orphanages's were fantastic experience.
I have mixed thoughts on the museum. It was not what I expected and disappointing to pay so much money and to be told we have to leave a tip for the guide. The museum was not worth what the entry fee. I wish could of been given the option not to go on the museum tour.
Entry fees were not outlined clearly on the website before purchasing the tour. This came up once I had booked the tour. So basically the tour only included transport.
The guide that drove us around was pleasant.
The bus was old and the seat I was told to sit in was broken (the seat that moves to allow people to get in the back of the bus). I had to ask if I could sit in the front due to the broken seat. This made my trip more comfortable.
