The amazing game drive
, Feb 2020
It was an amazing experience. My driver/guide Koi and his trainee, Safari were both very hospitable and helpful. I really enjoyed the experience most esp. the game drive. I would definitely like to experience other tours with Perfect Wilderness. Kudos to its team!
We are glad we got this tour.. we saw the giraffe and kiss them, we had enough time for shopping souvenirs , we were in the very front line to see the elephants on the orphanage, and our game drive in Nairobi national park in the afternoon was great, we had a close encounter with the white rhino which is very rare .. thanks Albert (our tour guide) for this day
I booked a day tour while on a business trip. Simba was a great guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, made sure we got everywhere in time to get a good spot and did his best to get close to animals in national park to get a good view. A wonderful day. The highlights for me were feeding the giraffes and seeing a lion.

Beautiful wildlife! — Lake Nakuru National Park full day tour with excellent driver&guide
, Aug 2019
The tour I signed up for was a solo tour with Peter. Peter was friendly and informative, and he was also an expert driver and guide. He answered all of my questions about Kenya, which included not only about animals but also about culture, language, music and so on.
On the exciting game drive at Lake Nakuru, we had a chance to see many amazing animals such as zebras, impalas, gazelles, giraffes, lion & lioness, baboons, warthog, turtle, buffalos, waterbucks, kori bastard, flamingos, secretary bird, and rhinos. We were able to be close enough to take photos of a lion when it was yawning. Despite reports indicating otherwise, we saw plenty of flamingoes, pelicans, and many other birds.
In the afternoon, we joined an 1-hour boat ride at Lake Naivasha. We saw hippos, fish eagles, and more species of animals. We enjoyed fresh fish fritter for lunch by the lake.
Overall it was a fantastic day trip and a cool experience to see wild animals just being themselves. I truly enjoyed a perfect wilderness tour, and I highly recommend it.
The flamingoes that gather at Lake Nakuru National Park are considered one of Africa’s greatest natural sights, but the area’s wildlife and scenery go far beyond the bright pink birds. This 11.5-hour, private guided tour from Nairobi offers ample time to explore the park, spot animals on morning and afternoon game drives, and see birds and hippos from a boat on Lake Naivasha.

From $80.00 (Price varies by group size )
A comprehensove one day tour
, Dec 2019
It was a nice quick and comprehensive tour of 2 major attractions of Nairobi. My guide/driver Santa was fun and friendly. He knew exactly where to make me stand for Elephant Orphanage to to get the best view in the house. Thank you Santa!
I had also booked airport transfer with the same company and he was ready before time even though it was late at night.
I feel this tour can be done as a half day tour too or in reduced time.
Our trip to the orphange and giraffe centre was amazing ! Was one of the most special days of our lives. The work that both places do for animals is exceptional. Our guide Victor was brilliant. Picking us up a little bit earlier to make sure we beat the traffic and have a good place to view the elephants at the orphange.
All the best Krisztina and James.
We had a great time and our guide was very helpful. He gave us the "inside knowledge" of where to stand for the best view of the elephants and was flexible with the itinerary. Vehicle used was a little old but got us there and back safely.

On the outskirts of Nairobi, Kibera is at once part of one of Africa’s most developed cities and at the same times stands apart from it. Yes, there is a lot of poverty here, but there’s also a sense of freedom.
My guide was very friendly and gave me many information .The tour in general was interesting and good organised. Pick up and drop off $25 which was double expensive than an Uber. Carry money for donations if interested.
While the thought of visiting Kibera slums might sound overwhelming, the experience of spending a few hours in this vibrant, multifaceted community is educational and informative. With its maze-like network of unmarked streets and narrow alleys, Kibera is best visited in the morning or mid-morning led by Lucas who has a razor-sharp knowledge on the inspiring creativity, resilience, and ingenuity employed by Kibera residents to survive under challenging circumstances in what we call the “city of hope.”
Visitors to the capital on limited time can still experience Kenya’s famous wildlife on a private half-day tour to Nairobi National Park, where lions, rhinos, and more live naturally on the outskirts of the city. Explore by open-top vehicle for an intimate glimpse of native species, and enjoy insights provided by your guide. Round-trip transfer ensures a hassle-free experience, and early departure allows you to pack more into your day.
Between the language barrier and the prevalence of low-quality goods, souvenir shopping in Kenya can be a minefield. Navigate it with ease on this door-to-door private tour, with your driver/guide on hand to translate, carry heavy items, and advise if required. A typical tour includes stops at four high-caliber stores: Kazuri Beads Factory, Utamaduni Crafts Centre, the Maasai Market, and Galleria Shopping Mall.
Hell's Gate National Park Private Bike Tour from Nairobi
From $160.26 (Price varies by group size )
Awesome day tour from Nairobi
, Nov 2019
Only had 1 full day in Nairobi and this was a perfect day tour to get out and see Kenya and the beautiful nature/wildlife it has to offer.
- Picked up by van at 7am from our hotel
- Approx. 2 hour drive from Nairobi to Hell's Gate, with a stop halfway at a beautiful overlook of the Rift Valley, with a gift shop where you can buy local art/trinkets/etc if you want. The long drive is a great experience because you get to see many sights and towns of Kenya.
- Bike ride is awesome, about 5 miles through the park to the entrance of the gorge, easy riding mostly flat. Helmets were not provided but the trail is not dangerous. Saw warthogs, zebras, dung beetles, giraffes, monkeys, impalas, gazelles, buffalo, birds. Scenery is beautiful. Then 5 mile ride back to the van.
- As of Nov 16 2019, the gorge remains closed due to flash flooding that occurred on Sep 2 2019. Park ranger said they plan to re-open the gorge after the rainy season.
- After bike ride, you have the option to either drive back to Nairobi, or go to Lake Naivasha and do a boat tour. The boat tour is $25 per person and for an additional $30 per person (both are cash only) you can do a walking tour with a local guide of Crescent Island Game Park where there are more wild animals. While expensive, we really enjoyed both and would recommend that the $55 per person is very much worth it.
- Departed Lake Naivasha at 4pm and returned to Nairobi just after 6pm
- Everything is at your own pace
- Last but not least, Albert was a great tour guide and very friendly. Thank you Albert!
-Tips: bring water or buy some before the bike ride, and bring sunscreen! Bugs didn't seem to be a big issue but use bug repellent just in case. Bring snacks as food is not included in the tour.

Private Hiking Day Trip to Mt. Longonot from Nairobi
From $148.72 (Price varies by group size )
, Jan 2020
I was picked up at my hotel by Peter at 6:00am, which is a good time because of the traffic, trucks, and road conditions going into the Rift Valley. Also the hike can be hot so you don’t want too start late. I wanted a good workout and Peter set a great pace that I really appreciated. He was also patient and informative. We stopped at several rest huts with benches. Its about 2 miles up from the gate to the rim and 1300 feet elevation gain. Going around the rim has a lot of ups and downs in order to reach the peak and is 4 miles around. Many times you need your hands to help climb. 2 miles back down for a total of 8.1 miles and 2648 feet elevation gain over the course of the hike. We saw giraffes, eland, and zebra. The views were tremendous. Peter was a careful and good driver and a good guide. We went to a swahili resort for lunch which was delicious. I chose not to do the boat ride, and arrived back at my Nairobi hotel at 3:45 pm. Just note that if you do decide to purchase lunch, you will be expected to buy lunch for your guide as well. Highly recommended, especially if you are tired of sitting in a safari vehicle and need to get out and move your legs.
Hike your way up Mt. Longonot on a private day trip from Nairobi, and admire the national park’s volcanic terrain of bubbling geysers and soaring rift valley cliffs. After your climb to the crater’s rim, you’ll relax with a lakeside lunch, then hop on a boat for a cruise around Lake Naivasha, looking for hippos and eagles as you go. The full climb and descent takes up to four hours, and a good general standard of fitness is needed.
The park is located 15 minutes from downtown city center of City. It was established in 1945 as the first National Park in Kenya. It is 44 square miles in size and much to everyone's surprise, all the wildlife are free ranging. Within the Nairobi National Park's 117 square kilometers, there are over 80 species of mammals and more bird species than can be found in the whole of the British Isles.
Take a private excursion to Lake Nakuru National Park to observe Kenya’s stunning wildlife. Embark on a game drive and bird watching safari to see the area’s native animal populations including flamingoes, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, white rhinos, and the occasional lion. Admire the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and learn about the park’s conservation efforts before concluding the tour.
See some of Kenya’s remarkable wildlife and cultures without leaving Nairobi on a full-day tour that includes David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Giraffe Centre, the Kazuri Beads Factory, and Bomas of Kenya. Traveling to each destination in a private vehicle ensures a comfortable day of exploring without the hassle of arranging separate transport, and door-to-door service ensures even more time for sightseeing.
Get a glimpse of life in Africa’s largest urban slum on a private walking tour to Kibera, a deeply impoverished area that’s home to thousands of people. Visit the area with a guide who was born and raised in Kibera, tour an orphanage and school, then see how local craftspeople repurpose bones in a bead factory. This tour includes pickup and drop-off at your hotel in Nairobi.
First thing we noticed was that there was no bottled water in the van as promised in the discretion, This might not seem like a big deal, but we didn't bring our own because we were told it was provided, and considering how long we spent in the car, we needed it. First stop at Kenyatta International Conference Center but the center was closed. D they not know this from before? seems like poor planning. In the description it says lunch would be at Carnivore, which we were looking forward to, but didn't actually end up going there. Overall the tour was nice, the driver was very friendly and polite, but be ready to spend way too much time in the car. between visiting sites by car only, and the traffic to get to the hotel a the end of the day, we could not wait to be out if the van.
I really enjoyed this tour. I had been to Nairobi many times before but not since 1993 and so seeing the change was fabullous. Obed was a great guide, very friendkly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. The tour in the national museum was great, we had a good ramble around the city, visited a marked and proceeded to Boma of Kenya and this was the highlight for me. The dancers were great and seeing the various recreated villages was well worth it. A very enjoyable day, indeed!
Nairobi gathers Kenya’s diverse cultures, cuisines, and people into one vibrant city, but with so much to see and do it's hard to know where to start. Sample a little bit of everything on a Nairobi adventure that combines a guided tour of downtown with a trip to Bomas of Kenya, where you’ll see dances, crafts, music, and homes brought from all over the country.
I had a great afternoon with Jackson. He was knowledgable, friendly and great fun. He tailored my trip to exactly what I wanted to do. From the messages beforehand, to the pick up at the airport to dropping me back to my hotel, everything went smoothly. I definitely recommend them.
