If ever I crave Tupelo Honey, I will not quibble the high price.

This marsh is thick with Bald Cypress and Tupelo, which is where the very expensive Tupelo Honey is harvested by those brave enough to find their way out there, make their way from boat to soaring Tupelo, climb it fighting bees the entire way, harvest honey, and haul it back down the way they came.

David told us things we would never have contemplated. Swamp grass remains

... rather a thick floating thatch which rises and settles with the water level. Should you try to walk over it, you most likely would break through. When you kick and scream for help, you are calling all allegators. The grass closes the hole and you are never to be seen again.

Astounding guide would love to know his name. He deserves acclaim!

He spoke rapidly as tho he feared whether he could fit everything he desperately needed us to know into his allotted time with us. He is obviously highly intelligent, and if not intensely passionate and emotional over the plight of the slave, then an exquisitely trained actor. I suspect the first.

Adorable Air Boat Driver David

David was explaining this unusual area in the middle of the vast swampland. Indians created an island for a rest stop, by dumping boatloads of shells then planted this 500 year old live oak draped in Spanish Moss for shade. This would be good to use in your advertisements. He was wonderful.

GATORS come for a visit on our Airboat trip

We had a awesome time despite the rain on our New Orleans Airboat Ride. Our guide Richy Rich was fantastic. He was awesome sharing his love for the Bayou and his knowledge of its history. He fed the alligators and even let us hold a baby alligator. We used a Groupon and check-in was simple.
