The Basics

Central Park has something for everyone. Visit Bethesda Fountain, the Strawberry Fields monument, or the Alice in Wonderland statue; enjoy kid-friendly fun on the carousel at the Central Park Zoo; sail model boats at the Conservatory Water pond; or simply enjoy people-watching at Bethesda Terrace or Sheep Meadow. The park’s size can be overwhelming, so consider a park bike tour, a walking tour, or a pedicab tour for a guided experience. Bike rentals are also available for those who prefer to explore on their own.

Official NYC Horse Carriage Rides in Central Park since 1979 ™
An hour of peace and tranquility out of a hectic schedule visiting NYC. A lovely way to see Central Park-a hark back to years gone by when travelling by carriage was commonplace. Our driver was lovely-and pointed out areas of interest as we trotted along, stopping for photos at the main points. For me, this was a great introduction to Central Park, somewhere I’ve only visited briefly on a former visit-and would like to come back and explore further. Highly recommended

Half-Day Hell's Kitchen Food Tour and Central Park Stroll
Our guide, Adam Guy, was amazing and we had the best day! Food was great and walked a lot of it off going through Central Park. With Adam’s encouragement, we also got tickets to the night’s Shakespeare in the Park performance and were blown away!

Iconic. Relaxing. Wouldn’t feel like New York without a carriage ride in Central Park. Great guide and fun time. Just wish the carriages could hold 6 people

Central Park Walking Tour
Michael Hunt was a wonderful guide and even took photos of us and sent them to us later. We were taking two parts to the park that none of us have ever been to before, and we have been to Central Park many many times as we live in New Jersey. It is well worth the trip, we learned a ton, beautiful photo ops, and the 2 1/2 our time was just the perfect amount of time.

When to Get There

The park is open daily from 6am to 1am. It’s a can’t-miss attraction at any time of year, but to enjoy a classic New York City activity such as ice skating at Wollman Rink or watching a performance of Shakespeare in the Park, you’ll want to visit during the appropriate season (winter and summer, respectively).
