The best introduction to Newcastle in just 2 hours
, Feb 2020
This was a first-rate tour of a variety of interesting spots in the city, some quite well-known and others a bit off the beaten track. The guide really knows his stuff and puts it across in a great way. A perfect introduction to Newcastle for anyone who wants to learn a bit more about this fascinating and historic city.
The guide knew very much, took the time to tell a lot. Questions were answered very good. We liked the tour very much. Info about New Castle you'll never know without this tour. Even for our 5 year old daughter was it nice.
The tour offers more sights than some other tours of the beautiful city of Newcastle. On it you will hear about the history of the city from the Iron Age to present day, and also about some of the city's more interesting characters.
The tour is less than 4km, does include some steps, and some uneven pavement.
Please come prepared according to the weather forecast for that day.
In the event of bad weather, please contact me through the message option here on TripAdvisor to see if the tour is still going ahead. Weather cancellations will be very rare.

I was lucky enough to be the sole person booked on this, so I had a personal tour with lovely Amy. I really enjoyed the varied places we went to: the Spanish bar in Grainger market, the brewery and restaurants. It was a beautiful sunny day in Newcastle and it was perfect weather for walking and learning some history about this lovely city. I even went back to a few of the venues with my partner a couple nights later! This is a great tour and well worth the tour, don't hesitate and book this. Thanks Amy for a great afternoon and tips on Newcastle.
