Formerly known as Downtown Disney, Disney Springs is a revamped outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment center set near Disney's Orlando theme parks. Restored and reopened in 2016, Disney Springs' Town Center is built around the beautiful natural springs that first attracted settlers to the area. Walkways throughout lead to the other districts open for exploration: The Landing, the West Side and the Marketplace, each offering the themed architecture, playful atmosphere and fun activities Disney is known for providing.
With spots offerings live music and waterfront views, the free Disney Springs complements the adjacent theme parks and provides unique family friendly neighborhoods, each with their own feel. Specialty shops and restaurants range from casual to upscale, while entertainments options are plentiful and include Cirque du Soleil performances, a bowling alley, a movie theater, carousel and concert venues. With more than 75 dining and shopping venues (with expansions planned), the options are seemingly endless, so budget your time accordingly.
As a part of the larger Disney park area, Disney Springs is accessible by car or from other nearby attractions. Buses run from Disney Springs to the Disney resorts, but not the theme parks. Complimentary water taxi service runs to and from the different districts from the Marketplace Dock. Disney Springs is open daily from 10 am to 12 am. Admission and parking are both free.
