A series of landscaped gardens, laid out in 1969, make up the Parc, with themed sections including a Bonsai garden, a garden of Mediterranean plants, an ivy garden and a medicinal plant garden. The area is one of four parks making up the Botanical Gardens of Paris, offering an ever-changing landscape that evolves with the seasons and contains over 1,200 plant and flower varieties. Visitors can stroll through the shaded pine forest, picnic along the banks of the water lily pond, enjoy the expansive children’s playground and admire the colorful Butterfly Garden. Spring and Summer time are particularly special, with the vibrant flowerbeds in full bloom, boats floating along the lake and plenty of activities on offer around the Château.
The Parc Floral is also a popular entertainment and exhibition space, with theatre performances, horticultural events and music concerts taking place throughout the year. The park’s large stage also hosts the hugely popular Paris Jazz Festival and Festival Classique au Vert (Classical music festival).
