Does the idea of whiling away a day in a Parisian cafe sound heavenly to you? Then thank the Bohemians of Paris for the ability to do so! There is some well-intentioned disagreement as to when Bohemian Paris actually existed. The “father” of ...

Montmartre is a special artistic world, where Van Gogh, Dali, Modigliani (...)lived, painted, drank and fell in love with women, ...where narrow streets are charming...where old musician plays old unknown today instrument(???) and atmosphere is musical, bohemian, where fine art is not a chapter of the book but a living existence....The guide was a good story-teller who reminded me a character from the movie Midnight in Paris( I thought I was a character from Midnight in Paris) but to see someone else who is in love with Paris and Monmartre was quite a bit interesting....I highly recommend this walking tour( educational, intresting, inexpensive) that makes your body move and your soul sing!

My wife liked the Montmartre tour, but I would have given that part a 2 only. The guide was very nice, but I did not learn much about Impressionist artists from this tour. Learned more about the people that lived in the former Bohemian artist enclave and the history of the Moulin Rouge. We were not even told where to find the artists area in Montmartre, and wound up descending the hill, and having to climb back up to find it...Sacre Couer was ok, but not as impressive as I expected either. The only reason this tour got a 4 was my wife's opinion on the Montmartre part, and the Night Walking Tour. The guide on that part was exceptional, a true professional, perfectly suited for what he is doing. He told us and showed us much about the Louvre, from the outside, got great subset pictures from there, around the pyramid. Then walked us over the Seine and into the SGDP St Germain De Prix? neighborhood in the Latin Quarter, which was a highlight of our trip!

This was a great tour but make sure you have good walking shoes and are relatively fit. And a bottle of water! There are some big hills and a lot of cobble stones, but you do walk slowly in this tour. This tour is definitely worth it if you want to see a more "arty and bohemian" style of Paris. Be wary of gypsys at the Sacre Couer Church.. My friend and I loved this tour and our guide was very knowledgable!
