With two award-winning amusement parks and iconic rides like Space Mountain and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, as well as a whirlwind of parades, performances and firework displays, you’ll never be short of entertainment at Disneyland Paris. But if you need a break from Mickey and friends, the equally magical City of Light is just minutes away.
Only 20 miles (32 km) east of Paris, those staying at Euro Disney can easily take in the highlights of the French capital by hopping on a shuttle bus or train for a day in the city or joining a guided Paris city sightseeing tour. If this is your first visit to Paris, you’ll want to take in top attractions like the Eiffel Tower, the Arc De Triomphe and Notre Dame Cathedral, but be sure to include a stroll down the elegant Champs Elysées boulevard and a tour of the famous Louvre Museum. With time to spare, you could also enjoy a scenic cruise along the Seine, go shopping at top locations like the Galeries Lafayette or watch a cabaret show at the Moulin Rouge.
If you’re looking to explore further afield, the UNESCO-listed medieval town of Provins, the resplendent Palace of Versailles and Château Fontainebleau all make worthwhile day trips from Disneyland, but you don’t have to travel far to indulge in the Parisian lifestyle. Just five minutes from Disneyland Park is the La Vallée Village, a huge designer outlet mall, where you can swap garish Disney costumes and glittering tiaras for chic designer goods and browse for bargains at luxury boutiques like Versace, Jimmy Choo and Armani.
