This was the highlight of our visit to Paris. We chose this tour because of the volume of excellent reviews and it truly lived up to the 5 stars it deserves. Nick made this tour delightful, fun, exciting, and interesting. We tasted a variety of Parisian delights, drank delicious wines, walked the charming streets of Montmartre, and made wonderful friends. This tour was worth every penny and should absolutely be included on everyone’s Paris agenda !!
We had Julie as our tour guide and what an amazing job she did. Tour was well worth our time as it gave my wife and I the ability to experience a different area in Paris. Places we visit were great for food and was able to visit some

We were a group of ten, from Canada, the US and the UK. We booked this tour for the day after we arrived in Paris and it was a terrific way to get oriented to the neighbourhood and enjoy food and conversation. There was plenty of wine, lots of food including cheese, meat, and a variety of sweets at several locations. Our host also told us about the history and architecture as we walked through this fascinating district. Highly recommended.

Paris Cooking Class Including 3-Course Lunch, Wine and Optional Market Visit
Cooking in Paris
, Jan 2020
Everything about the Paris cooking class was wonderful, the enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise of the instructor, the trip to the market, the meal itself and the knowledge gained from working with a professional in preparing the meal. The facilities were great. I highly recommend this tour.
The 3 course lunch and wine Paris cooking class exceeded our expectations. Fred was warm and friendly from the start. The Foodist was beautifully set for Christmas and spotless. There were six stations and we listened to the explanation of what was expected of each of us. It was so helpful to receive the recipes after our class so we just watched and listened. Fred was helpful at each step. The end result was beautiful to the eye and tasty as well. I learned more about how we taste and why it is important in this dish to add salt as well as fresh nutmeg. I could go on and on. My husband and I highly recommend Fred's cooking classes. We are only encouraged to continue learning to cook. (Merci) I might add we both have cooked for 43 years for ourselves and 4 children. It was never fancy and would consider ourselves beginners in the culinary arts. Anyone could do this and in the end be able to bring home some of these techniques and a few smiles thinking about their Paris cooking course by Chef Fred. It as a great way to end our week in Paris.
Our instructor, Christophe, was very informative with his instructions throughout and we enjoyed the learning part and a very good meal. I will try a couple of the dishes we made at home, and use the tips he gave us along the way in my everyday cooking.
Indulge in a true gourmet French experience: preparing, cooking, and enjoying your own 3-course meal. Choose between a 4.5- or 6-hour Paris culinary course (a 1.5-hour market visit is optional) then set out to learn the tricks and techniques of French cooking. An instructor will help you through the steps of creating an appetizer, main dish, and dessert. French wine is also included with your gourmet lunch.
The O Chateau was a perfect venue for tasting wine in the centre of Paris - no need to leave the city, particularly if you are only there for a short while. Our English speaking sommelier, Felicity, was very knowledgeable, very forthcoming when asked questions and made the evening a wonderful event. The cheeses & cold meats were the perfecr accompaniment to the selected wines. We stayed after the tasting for a light meal which was excellent and the staff were attentive and polite. Would thoroughly recommend.
Take your understanding of French wine to another level with a guided wine and Champagne tasting in an atmospheric wine cellar in Paris. Sample six different wines in the course of an evening, including Bordeaux, Sancerre, Rhone and Champagne, while you learn about how to properly taste wines and how to read a French wine label. It's a relaxing way to deepen your cultural knowledge and taste some fantastic French wines at the same time. Upgrade to include a plate of cheese or cured meats to eat while you sip.
Small Group Wine-Day Trip from Paris: Chambord Castle and Loire Valley Wines
Beautiful French countryside, good food and delicious wine!
, Dec 2019
The drive through the French countryside was very beautiful and peaceful. It was great to see the Chambord Castle from the inside. The gourmet meal with the wine selections for every course was amazing. The highlight was the winery tour at the end and the delicious Loire valley wines. Our guide was very knowledgeable about wine.
Loved the winery tours. Loved the lunch. Loved our guide — and wish I could have just heard her talk more about wine (she was very knowledgeable) rather than spending time at a castle. Just a personal preference.
See and taste magnificence on this 11-hour tour from Paris that takes you to the Chambord Château and Loire Valley wineries. At Chambord, learn all about the French Renaissance castle during an audio tour. Then, spend time at two family-run wineries and savor white, red, rose, sparkling and sweet wines. With your appetite opened up, settle in at one of these wineries for a traditional gourmet meal. Wine Tasting in Paris with Cheese and Charcuterie Lunch
The information she gave about different French wine regions
, Jan 2020
I was on a quick trip to Paris and had been there often, so I wanted to do something a bit different. Also, as I wasn’t sure I could check into my hotel early, this tour was scheduled for 12:15pm... so good for using up time. The winebar O was located near the Louvre and an easy metro ride on the #1 line. There were a few other couples waiting in the bar area when I arrived and we were escorted to the wine tasting room downstairs. Our host introduced herself and told us what to expect. There were a couple of large platters of charcuterie set out, along with multiple glasses and information on the wines and cheeses we would be sampling at each seat. She had each of us introduce ourselves and we got started with a good champagne. She was very good about explaining the various wines (3 whites & 2 reds + champagne), where they were from, how they are made, what they pair well with etc. we were given full glasses of each wine and did refill glasses if someone ‘sampled’ a bit too much. She was even concerned about one of the group who didn’t like red, so she filled her glasses with more of the white. At the end of the tasting, she casually mentioned we could purchase any of the wines, but in no way was it a hard sell. I would definitely do the evening wine tasting or the tasting dinner they offer on my next visit.
Our guide for the tasting was amazing. He taught us many interesting facts and tidbits about wine and the various regions in France. The pick of wines were interesting and lovely to taste. The meat/cheese boards were delicious. It was a fun experience, not boring or stuffy. Loved having the small group. It was interactive and relaxed. Would recommend to other travelers. Feedback: In addition to the tasting - would have preferred to have some wine to drink (even if at my own expense). Re-think those large bulking bar stools (hard to get in and out of).
Spend a decadent afternoon in the French capital with a wine and cheese tasting in Paris, guided by a knowledgeable sommelier. Sample wines from various regions, including Rhone, Bordeaux and Sancerre, learning how each region produces different wines. Find out the proper way to taste wine. Nibble on wine-friendly snacks like French cheeses and cured meats for lunch while you sip in a comfortable converted wine cellar in the center of Paris.
We spend a great evening with Marion. Se was so friendly and knowledgeable!
My entire family felt that Marion was the best tour guide we have ever had.
We all left the tour with both our bellies and minds full.
Thank you so much Marion!
My wife and I have been to Paris 10 times. Nothing could compare to the tour we experienced with PJ!!! He was so knowledgeable, energetic, enthusiastic, and every other positive descriptive word!! We learned so much about Paris and its history along with so much information about bread, cheese, meats, wine, and chocolates!! This tour was at the beginning of our vacation and we experienced Parisian food in a new light because of PJ!!!! Thank you for an incredible day PJ!!!! You are the best!
Embark on a culinary tour of Paris's Montmartre neighborhood, one of the city's most charming neighborhoods. Sample delicacies like croissants and éclairs at a local patisserie, enjoy a guided tasting of various cheeses at a fromagerie and satisfy your sweet tooth at a classic chocolaterie. Of course, no gourmet tour of Paris would be complete without a stop at a boulangerie, where you learn the proper way to eat a baguette in France.
Champagne Small-Group WineDay from Paris including 8 Champagne tasting and lunch
From $299.20 (Price varies by group size )
Day wine tour drinking Champagne
, Feb 2020
Emily and Nicolas were wonderful guides. It was a fun - but very long - day. We were only in Paris for a short amount of time so maybe not the best thing for me to have scheduled. We started at Taittinger where we got to go into the caves that aged the Champagne years ago which was really neat. From there we went to a scenic overlook to have another glass and be able to enjoy the view. Then a smaller family owned winery where we had lunch. The lunch was lovely - it's just there was no view. With the price we paid for the tour I was thinking it would have been more. Then we went to one last winery that had another tour and tasting. We were very tired by the time we got back to Paris with the travel to and from. If you love Champagne - book it! If you are on a short schedule in Paris I am not so sure it's the best fit.
Our guide, Julia, was amazing! She went above and beyond truly. She shared her extensive knowledge with us and gave us a great education. Her warm introductions and familiarity with the staff at the champagne houses was very helpful. At one point, I could not find my phone so she called and found it at the last location and while we toured she drove back 30 minutes and kindly retrieved it for me without a moment’s hesitation. She stopped and got us fresh croissants in the morning and hot coffee on the way home (all that champagne made us a bit sleepy!). Truly a lovely experience. We had 6 in our group which was perfect. I could see how 8 might be a little tight.
Travel with a small group—including hotel pickup from Paris—and spend a day touring the Champagne region. Visit a world-renowned Champagne house such as Moët & Chandon, Taittinger, or Veuve Clicquot, as well as smaller estates. Experience multiple tastings and learn how the popular bubbly drink is made as you stroll through sprawling vineyards and enter cellars. Plus, enjoy a gourmet lunch at a family-run winery.
Really enjoyed this experience, we tasted 8 cheeses in total and 3 wines and they were all so tasty. We had a tour of the shop and refrigerated cheese room and the guide was extremely knowledgeable, and we learnt new techniques on how to experience the tastes better! It was overall very fun, and worth every penny. Would 100% recommend.
Delicious & informative, even (especially?) for the uninformed
, Nov 2019
We had little to no knowledge about the details of cheese-making and the different flavors that could be brought out in different cheeses. Damien did a wonderful job guiding us through the process of maturing cheese and what notes to look for. The tasting itself was great - a tour of sheep's, goat's, and cow's milk cheese, dry and wet, with several delicious French wines. There was only two of us with Damien so it was perhaps a bit more intimate than it would normally be, but I can imagine it's just as good with a larger group. Paroles de Fromagers is interesting to stop by even if you don't do the tasting - more than a few people would stop by the window to ogle the cheeses while we were there! Highly recommended!
If you love cheese and wine, then make a point to do this tour. Our tour guide was great! He taught us so much about French cheese and the proper tasting technique. He has changed the way we eat cheese going forward. The cheese cellar is really just a large refrigerator upstairs filled with aging cheese, so don't have hopes that you will be going underground to a cool historic cellar (which is what I pictured when booking). That said, still 5 stars for the delicious cheese, wine, and knowledge that came from this tour.
The French know that wine and cheese are made for each other. Treat your taste buds to this perfect pairing at a specialty cheese cellar beneath the streets of Paris. Taste several different French and Swiss cheeses accompanied by wines chosen to complement the aged flavors, plus bites of baguette and fresh fruit. A professional guides you through the tasting. Group size is limited to 10 for a more personalized culinary experience.
The buttery croissant is a staple in French bakeries. Learn how to make this local favorite yourself during a 3-hour cooking class in the captial of French cuisine: Paris. Select from three sessions, varying from Champagne, cheese, and charcuterie tastings, and opt to purchase your favorite bottle to bring home.
Loire Valley Castles Tour from Paris: Chambord, Chenonceau with Lunch & Wine
Great daytrip for Couples
, Jan 2020
My partner and I had a great time on the castle/wine tour. Our tour visited the impressive Chambord and Chenonceau castles while stopping for lunch and wine tasting at a lovely family owned castle in-between. Plenty of wine to be had through the trip and the food was lovely. We had Michelle as our tour guide and she was great! Super knowledgeable about French history and told us many interesting stories about the region. She also spent time after the tour answering everyones general questions about Paris. So helpful!
Fantastic tour of the Loire chateaux and superb lunch at chateau Nitray winery. Thank you Paris City Wonders for a great day. And our guide, Michelle, was wonderful. Couldn't recommend this tour highly enough. Do yourself a favour when you are Paris and book this tour.
Overall we enjoyed the tour, however, we got a little lost trying to get to the pick-up point and were scolded when we arrived late. Thank goodness the bus driver saw us! One of the tour guides took advantage of the wine tasting too much. I enjoyed the history lessons.
Marvel at the Loire Valley's opulent châteaux and taste its famous locally-made wine during this full-day tour from Paris. First head to Chateau de Chambord—the inspiration for Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'—for a guided tour. Then, relax midday with a traditional French lunch at Nitray Vineyards, with unlimited wine. Then, visit the elegant Château de Chenonceau and embark on a tour through its intricately carved stone walls, rich hanging tapestries, and intimate chapel.
Le Foodist is the perfect venue for the macaron cooking class. And, Sarah is the perfect person to facilitate this experience! She took the mystery out of perfecting the technique to make macarons. The class is small and intimate and I met some wonderful people. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in doing something a little different.

Wonderful tour with David who shared interesting facts about the history and food of this great city. The jams were a surprising highlight as well of a more than 2 hour walk through the streets of Paris
Guide was awesome , knowledgeable, and fun. We liked our small group of 6 so that we could participate. Definetly do not hesitate to try out this tour. Food tours are our favorite way to get to know a city!
We had a very fun time learning about (and tasting!!) chocolate and also Paris's famous boulangeries! Our guide David was particularly great - he knew about history, architecture, food and art in addition to chocolate, pastries and bread. A leisurely but active tour with only 7 guests, including us.

Exclusive: 3 Course Dinner Cruise with Champagne at Paris Seine
Fantastic two hours
, Jan 2020
We took the lunch cruise in January. We had 4 adults and two children aged 7 and 10. I expected that the sights to see would be wonderful and the food just so - so, but the food was delicious and the cruise itself a wonderful way to see some of the main sights of Paris. Our children pronounced it their favorite visit. If we get back to Paris we will take the lunch cruise again.
The Christmas Eve Seine dinner cruise was a pleasant way to spend the evening. The boat had tables set with tablecloths, candles and champagne. Dinner was 3 courses with a glass of wine and while not Paris gourmet quality it was definitely good and more than enough. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and the views of the Eiffel Tower beautiful. As a tourist away from home during the holidays, this was a nice activity.
This Seine River dinner or lunch cruise is a relaxing way to view Paris landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. Admire the waterfront sights and pass under bridges such as the Pont Neuf as you savor a gourmet 3-course meal, paired with a glass or half bottle of Champagne and French wine. Enjoy exquisite cuisine and fine service aboard a La Marina de Paris glass-enclosed boat.
This experience was super fun and also very informative. If you ever wondered why French bread made in France is generally superior to other countries - you will get clues here :). This experience works great for teens also. The chef cannot speak to much English but he has a good translator to help with the event - also very good. The food tasting was delicious...
Learn the secrets to making traditional French baguettes and croissants during a 2-hour baking workshop with a chef. Get time-tested recipes handed down over generations, and bread-making techniques that will help you make perfect baked goods. This is a hands-on baking lesson in the back rooms of a French bakery in Paris with group size limited to eight people for maximum personal attention from the instructor for each student. Leave the class with your own freshly-baked baguette to snack on later.
I really enjoyed this trip. My boyfriend and I went and it was very romantic for us. The sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable on wine and she was able to answer all of my questions. Including the silly one about what is the difference between wine and champagne... Apparently there is a big difference!
The champagne was delicious although I wish you was able to buy some on the boat because I couldn't find the 3rd one I loved anywhere in Paris!
The sommelier gave us a little history lesson as well which was nice as we cruised down the Seine river. Going at night was lovely as you could see all the lights and sights of Paris which were amazing. Considering this was a should we or shouldn't we go trip, I am glad we did this in the end.
Outside there is a pizza place with a pizza that is to die for. If you can, get a pizza from here because it is delicious!
I really enjoyed this trip and I would recommend it.
I highly recommend this cruise in the evening to see many sites from the water. The sommelier provided a perfect amount of information about the champagnes, enough to gain knowledge, not so much it was pretentious or too much.
We have visited Paris many times and we were stopping through on our honeymoon just for 2 days and one night and this was recommended to us by a fellow traveler. I would recommend the Champagne tasting tour whether it's your first time or if you've been to Paris before. It's always a treat to see Paris from the river and our Somm was so knowledgable about the city as well as the Champagne. You also get the very front of the boat with the best view and it's inside so you don't have to worry about the cooler months- although you can walk outside if you would like to take pictures or enjoy the view.
Add some extra sparkle to your Paris trip with a Champagne-tasting cruise down the River Seine. With an English-speaking sommelier, enjoy an educational Champagne presentation in the comfort of a private room. Sip on three fine Champagnes as you float past Paris’ signature monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Musée d’Orsay.
Small group Paris tour: Wine, Cheese & Pastries at the Marais
Great Tour, Great Food, Great Company
, Feb 2020
We had a great time on this tour. Mich was really knowledgeable about food but also about the city, the buildings and French history, all of which were covered. The food that we tried on the tour was also delicious. It should also be noted that we booked our tour for a Monday which is not usually a tourist day in Paris and Urban Adventures asked if we would move it but when we couldn't they honoured the booking and we ended up on an effectively private tour allowing us to set our own pace which was also great. Overall, would thoroughly recommend.
My tour was fantastic! First of all I was the only person who signed up and Urban Adventures still ran the tour - so it became a private tour. The tour guide Mich was so knowledgeable and interesting. He knew the best places for the 3 different pastries we tasted. We also did a wine and cheese tasting that was terrific. I highly recommend!

Numbers are limited to 12 people on this small-group tour.
From rich burgundy to bubbly champagne, wine is an inextricable part of French life. But you don't have to venture off into the countryside to experience the best of what France has to offer. This guided wine tasting, held in an 18th-century cellar in central Paris, will teach you all about wine production -- and give you plenty of chances to taste the good stuff as you go.
The space used was incredible and our teacher was fantastic. We thought it was good value for money and suited my 10 year old daughter.
For the three adults, we thought it wasn’t enough involvement- it was more a demonstration. We would have preferred it to go on longer and have made macarons using our own shells and picked out our own flavours (we were told as we arrived the two flavours we were making)
The class was a lot of fun and the instructor was wonderful (knowledgeable, very friendly, and very interested in making our experience a positive one). We would definitely recommend it to others. The location of the class was ideal.
Uncover the secrets of the macaron with this small-group baking class at Galeries Lafayette. Meet your instructor, a French pastry chef, in a quiet corner of the iconic department store. Over the course of 1.5 hours, learn to prepare the delicate shells and ganache of the perfect macaron. Work with organic ingredients to create flavors like chocolate, pistachio, and more.
Spectacularly presented by Ellie, who was knowledge-filled, energetic and enthousiastic about her topic, the 10 of us met some incredibly friendly shop-owners, ate amazingly dellcious food and sweets, and had a tasting of a couple of wines at the end of the tour which we would never have known about otherwise. The Marais was already one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris, but I learned and saw so much more in detail than I had ever known before. The time just flew by, partially because of the congenial mood that Ellie set for our group. I will do this and other "Devour" tours as soon as possible, bringing my husband next time, and will highly recommend this to all of my friends who travel to Europe. A total blast!!
This tour with Ellie was more than we could have asked for. Not only was she delightful but her knowledge of food and the choices of local eateries that were chosen were so delicious and different. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a taste of Paris!
This was a wonderful food tour. Ellie, our guide was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable about the food and the wine and the Paris neighborhood. Enthusiastic with a wonderful wit. What a pleasure to spend half a day with her and see what a Paris neighborhood is all about.
Discover the few remaining family-run eateries in the Marais neighborhood of Paris with the insights of your local guide. Try classic French dishes, innovative pastries (patisserie), Jewish delicacies, and more as you visit both historical and modern-style eateries in this historical neighborhood. This class was a great way to start our France 2019 trip. We had a a lot of fun and learned a lot of cooking techniques that I will definitely use back home. Thanks Frederic for the information and fun while cooking. I also highly recommend the market tour

Small-Group Champagne Tasting Day Trip from Paris with Moet et Chandon and Reims Cathedral Visit
Champagne Tasting day trip
, Nov 2019
Fantastic day with Leah as driver / guide.
Really informative and pleasant company.
Highly recommend the tour to assist people in the history and processes to create such a product enjoyed by the world.
This company was excellent and only sells up to groups of 12 people. We had a wonderful day in the Champagne valley with our tour guide as the driver. The first stop was a small family-run vineyard operation where you get up close and personal access to the process. The Moet tour was very formal and fancy, almost Stepford wife like tour guide. I ended up ordering a case of Champagne from the first company and we love every drop of it. I wish I would have found this tour group earlier and done every tour with this company. They are that good. This was my favorite tour in all of Paris.
Need to update transportation. Van is old, rattles all the time, and is too cramped for this extent of trip. All seats full to the max. Most passengers uncomfortable the entire trip. Guide was great and stops were interesting.
Discover the pleasures and history of Champagne on this full-day winery tour from Paris. In the Champagne wine region, visit the house of Moët & Chandon and meet a local producer.
