We were looking forward to this tour from the moment we started planning our vacation to Paris. Booking through Viator made everything so easy.
Katelyn, our guide, made the time we spent with her fun by slathering clever puns throughout her presentation, using her deep knowledge and obvious interest in the subject matter to entertain and inform. The stories she told (The bones of rich, famous and infamous Parisians mingled with commoners! Secret clubs hidden in the myriad tunnels! The sheer number of the dead housed within the site!) truly brought the catacombs to life.
The tour included a couple of areas not open to the general public - worth the cost of the tour just to see these hidden gems.
This is amazing tour our guide Katelyn is so awesome . Very knowledgable about the history of the French Revolution. The special access is great we are able to see places. Katelyn made this tour very enjoyable and interesting
Venture beneath the City of Light to explore the dark underworld of the Paris Catacombs. Skip the entrance lines and head inside this fantastically macabre tunnel system filled with the skeletal remains of more than 6 million Parisians. Hear about the remarkable construction of the catacombs from an expert guide as you walk past ornate chambers piled with decorative arrangements of bones, and gain special access to chapels and chambers closed to the general public. Group size is limited to 19.
Really enjoyed this tour a few days ago. The guide did an excellent job giving our group all of the information we were hoping for. One small issue was that the tour was oversold. Thus, before departing on the tour, people in the group were asked if they wouldn't mind canceling/being reimbursed their tour fee. This put everyone in an awkward, frustrated mood. No one said yes (because everyone had planned and looked forward to the experience). Luckily the tour was able to still take place, but with 4-5 extra attendees.
Dig deep into history with an underground Paris Catacombs tour. Learn why the bones of more than six million people were deposited under the city in a complex maze of tunnels that you definitely need a guide to navigate.
Versailles Guided Tour and Priority Access with Hotel Pickup from Paris
, Feb 2020
Excellent tour. Our guide was knowledgeable. She made sure our group was treated with privilege. I recommend the guided skip the line tour. The line We slipped was hundreds of people waiting for hours.
The driver was very late and I think it impacted the amount of time we had in Versailles. Our guide was very knowledgeable but because we were late in arriving I felt hurried through the palace. The palace was so unique and the guide was great at explaining the history of the palace through the many French kings and their reign. just wish we hadn’t felt hurried.
Surround yourself in the grand spectacle of the Versailles palace and gardens on a small-group tour from Paris. Enjoy pickup from your Paris hotel, then breeze past the queue at Versailles and take a small-group tour through the castle’s ornate interior. Discover the rich tastes of Louis XIV, who built the enormous 700-room complex, adorning the space with extravagance and luxury. Then take a leisurely stroll in the palace gardens before returning to Paris.
Highly recommend this tour for a memorable, though-provoking Louvre experience
, Jan 2020
We booked a skip-the-line private Louvre tour for our family, including one 6 year old. None of us had ever been to the Louvre, largely owing to its overwhelming size. I highly recommend booking this tour particularly for those who are not familiar with the museum, are short on time, appreciate convenience and/or want to have a meaningful experience within a relatively short period of time.
We were pleased with every aspect of our tour - from the initial booking, meeting our guide Alex, entering the museum and exploring its vast riches. The booking was easy, and we received confirmation with instructions following the booking. As promised, we then received another email the night before with the name of our guide and his contact information.
We easily found our guide, Alex, who took us through a less crowded entrance quickly. For the next 2.5 hours, without a map, Alex led us through the highlights, holding our undivided attention and giving us a wonderful art history tour that we are still talking about - even our 6 year old daughter. He also managed to keep her engaged throughout the tour.
If you are considering a tour, you will not go wrong with this one or with Alex if he is your guide.
Prepare to be inspired by some of the world’s most famous artists as you step inside the iconic Louvre Museum. Head straight to the front of the queue with skip-the-line entrance, then journey through art history on a private tour. With the help of your expert guide, see masterpieces like the 'Venus de Milo' and the 'Mona Lisa,' learn about the evolution of art around the world, and discover little-known gems that many visitors miss.
Enjoy an intimate historical look at the D-Day landings on this full-day trip to the beaches of Normandy from Paris. Travel by comfortable van accommodating no more than eight people, and visit Omaha Beach, the Operation Overlord Museum, German bunkers, Pointe du Hoc, as well as the American Cemetery home to 10,000 white crosses. See period-era military maps, plans, and photos, while listening to inspiring stories about June 6, 1944. Sip some of Normandy’s famous traditional cider before returning to Paris.
Skip the Line: Eiffel Tower Summit Priority Access Ticket with Host
Excellent Eiffel Tower experience
, Jan 2020
We very much enjoyed our priority access Eiffel Tower tour. Our tickets expedited our entry & assured us the quickest access possible to the summit. Adrielle was a helpul & friendly guide who shared with us thistorical info. & ably assisted us with access. She also gladly answered questions. The location for meeting the guide is very convenient & a mere 2-3 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The office efficiently checked us in & got us on our way to the Eiffel Tower. We would do it this way again.
Only as fast track to the 2nd floor. Had to wait in line to get to top. The champagne and macarroon "special" was more expensive to buy from the company then it was to buy directly there. Totally not worth that part.
Bypass the long lines at the Eiffel Tower with this tour that includes summit access. After fast track, skip-the-line access, proceed to the second level to survey the city from the viewing platforms while listening to commentary about Paris culture, traditions, and history. Then, proceed to the summit to see Gustave Eiffel's private apartments and sip Champagne from the onsite bar (own expense).
Versailles Palace & Giverny's Monet House Day Trip from Paris including Lunch
Lots of treasures
, Nov 2019
We really enjoyed the trip to Giverny. This has been on my bucket list for a long time and it did not disappoint. There were lots of people there but we had no problem making our way around the gardens. It was stunning. We enjoyed seeing Monet's home. Lunch was absolutely delicious in such a quaint restaurant. On we traveled to Versailles. It was raining and extremely crowded. To be honest it was not the experience we hoped for. We felt like sardines and couldn't wait to get out. Because of the rain our trip though the gardens of Versailles was rushed. This certainly was not the fault of our tour.
Monet House and Versailles are a must see if you are visiting France for the first time. The tour was comfortable and our guides were great. There was ample time to see everything and anything you would like to at Monet House. If you are visiting Versailles for the first time, I would recommend a different tour where you can spend more time there. 2 hours at Versailles is only enough to visit the main building. The gardens and other buildings a worth a separate visit for sure. 5 stars for comfort and service.
Many visitors to France make time to visit both the Palace of Versailles and Monet's Impressionist garden at Giverny. This day trip from Paris allows you to do both. First, wander through the lush landscape around the artist’s residence, which served as inspiration for his Nymphéas (Water Lilies) series. After lunch, head to Versailles and visit Louis XIV's lavish royal palace. On particular dates, you see the fountains on display.
Normandy D-Day Beaches Trip with American Cemetery with Optional Lunch
Wonderful Trip to Normandy
, Feb 2020
This was a tremendous day trip from Paris and full of sites to see. Our tour guide, Vincent, was very attentive and full of knowledge and he kept the discussions going. We had a wonderful lunch at an old farmhouse from the 15th century- great atmosphere and wonderful food.
The whole experience was awesome!!!! The visit was on our bucket-list of places to visit, but it exceeded expectations in impact and scope. We were blown away by the vastness and visualizing the immensity of the landing.
The tour guide was great; she used the time on the bus to give us all the background information before getting to the museum. We could have used more time at the museum, but it was great to have one section for D-Day and another for the war overall. So much good info! The lunch was nice, but plain. It was convenient to add it and not have to purchase separately.
We visited Pont duHoc, Omaha, and Gold besides the cemetery. All were beautiful, somber, and overwhelming.
Would absolutely recommend this trip for anyone!!!!
Visit the D-Day beaches during this full-day trip from Paris to Normandy. Stop at Omaha Beach to learn stories and historical facts about WWII; stop at the Juno Beach Center; pause at the American Cemetery; and stop by the Caen Memorial Museum for a scenic lunch. Gain fascinating insights from your guide into the sacrifices of Allied soldiers and the French citizens they liberated. Upgrade to a small-group tour when booking for a more personal experience.
It’s nice to have the access, but you can book this without using Viator. If you can do the research, you are able to make your own way quickly without having to wait for a large group. Took 30+ minutes to get from the meeting point and through security to just wait in line inside at the base for the elevator all due to waiting for people you don’t know since they release you there to your own doings. Had I just had our own access I could have done it without worrying. Also, don’t be stuck on your time you book; it changes and when it does, you’re at the mercy of tours open times they have available which is frustrating. So as long as you book your tickets in advance and do it by yourself and meet at the time you choose you’d enjoy the tower much more as you’re on your schedule.
Reach the heights of Paris's most iconic monument while bypassing the long wait with a skip-the-line ticket to the Eiffel Tower. Head to the front of the line and ride the elevators up to the first and second levels for marvelous views of the Trocadero gardens, the Louvre, and other famous monuments. Keep going all the way up to the summit level, where the whole of Paris stretches around you in an unforgettable panorama.
A beautiful building filled with a huge collection of fine art. The tour guide was especially helpful in making sense of the different styles a schools the different masters represented. This was a fully loaded educational session for my children and me.
Erell was our tour guide. She sent a text message the day before the tour confirming it and where, exactly, we would meet. That is great because the area is large and it was our first time in Paris. The museum is amazing, the art is phenomenal, and the tour was perfect. Erell was very knowledgeable about the artwork and history of the museum. Time flew by and we were actually a bit over on the time. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the museum. So much more information than just the ear phone tour.
Discover the world’s largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art on a private tour of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Bypass the long entrance queues with skip-the-line access (admission tickets not included), and let an art historian guide lead you straight to masterworks by Monet, Cézanne, Renoir, Degas and more. Enjoy personalized attention from your guide and learn the history behind the art for a truly immersive experience.
The tour was a great way to see highlights and then have our own time to explore if needed. The tour guide (CityVision) was good, though she didn't keep track of people in group too well; she needed to keep talking and say where she was going, but since she didn't we lost two people crossing the first street.
CityVision was rather congested and somewhat unorganized, but once I exchanged voucher it was fine.
This guided tour with skip the line access is a good experience, learned a lot from listening to what the guide was sharing, and a real skip the line..different access... Be ready to walk and go up the stairs.. I loved this tour because i was able to see places I haven’t seen when I visited louvre without the tour guide...
Paris’ Louvre is one of the world’s largest art museums, so don't waste your time waiting in line. Head straight inside, with your priority access admission, to see three of its biggest crowd-pleasers, including the unavoidable gaze and wry smile of Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa." On this guided tour, hear fascinating tales and tidbits about these unmissable masterpieces. After coming face to face with several artworks by great masters, you’re free to explore the Louvre independently.
Best way to start the Parisian experience! Highly recommended
, Feb 2020
It was my first day in Paris and what a way to start this trip! Nancy, our guide was waiting for the group by the group entrance and she was a delight. Friendly and very knowledgeable. The 3.5 hours flew by, what an incredible first experience in the #1 museum in the world. Nancy covered all the key masterpieces and even had time to show us more than was originally planned. I recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed!
Great tour with good information. Violet shares details and information, but not so much that you get bored. We learned many new things and enjoyed all the exhibits that were highlighted. This tour was well worth purchasing.
The tour was well organised and it made visiting the Louvre an easy and fun experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the art works and the history of the museum. We had a great time and we would thoroughly recommend the tour.
Visit the Musée du Louvre to see its most famous artwork, Leonardo da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa,' without the typical crowds on this tour that provides skip-the-line access for the museum's last entry of the day. Enter the museum as it's getting ready to close, taking advantage of this time of day to admire the painting among fewer people. Plus, see the museum's other masterpieces with an art historian guide. Tour is limited to 15 people for a small-group experience.
Montmartre Walking Tour: Paris' Best Art, Culture and Food
Great tour with Hafid
, Jan 2020
Great fun! Hafid was very knowledgeable about the history and had some very helpful inside tips. We (the group) had a blast. Montmartre is incredibly beautiful and Hafid lifted the experience to the next level with all the stories and insights. Highly recommended.
Hafid was awesome!! The best tour guide I’ve ever had. His knowledge of Montmartre was interesting and kept our attention!! He allowed time for pictures. I never felt rushed! I highly recommend Hafid, he even emailed me recommendations for other tours!!! That was over the top!! Such good information!!! I wish I could have him for all of our tours in Paris!! I left with a smile on my face!! I had made a new friend!! Thank you Hafid!!!

Start at the Moulin Rouge and see where artists like Van Gogh, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Pissarro lived and worked. See sights like the Basilica du Sacré-Coeur, and get insights from your guide about the art, music, food, and history of Montmartre.
Well organised day trip to MSM. It takes about 4 hrs to reach there and the bus trip was broken by a rest stop midway which was nice.
There were 4 hours at MSM itself.
It is an amazing place well worth going.
We opted for the guided tour which included lunch (with a view of MSM). We requested to skip the lunch and rejoined the tour in the abbey followed by some free time to buy souvenirs.
Long day but comfortable coach and good guide made it very nice
Our tour guide, Elizabeth, was excellent. She was full of historical information. She made the tour come alive. Would love to take make tours with her.
The meal was just so-so. Next time would not get the lunch and would have more time for the tour.
Travel through scenic Normandy en route to the medieval Mont-St-Michel on a full-day trip from Paris. Discover the UNESCO World-Heritage-listed island and its iconic Gothic abbey, with a guide, and listen to fascinating history and legendary stories about the site. Enjoy ample time to explore the island, and admire views of the surrounding bay before traveling back to the French capital. Upgrade to include a gourmet lunch and/or round-trip hotel transfers.
Maarten (sorry if I got the name wrong!) was amazing. He gave a great insight into the history of the tour around the Eiffel Tower and all the surrounding landmarks. At the end of the tour (ours was the last in the day), we spent a bit more time with him just talking in general about our experiences in Paris and he was extremely helpful in advising us about our trip and what we can do whilst in Paris.
The tour was great as well as we skipped the line and we had clear instructions regarding what the plan was and what we needed to do. I do advise all people who book to read the small prints on everything they provide as you need to arrive 15-30minutes before your tour start time to a location 5 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower.
Save time with this Viator skip-the-line Eiffel Tower ticket. This priority access admission ticket allows for a relaxing visit to one of the world’s busiest monuments, accompanied by a host. Skip The Line: Palace of Versailles and Gardens from Central Paris
Versailles is Spectacular
, Feb 2020
Versailles is stunning and a must see during any visit to Paris. We booked our Magic Ways tour through Viator along with a number of other tours - click, click, vacation planned!
Magic Ways offers three different pick-up/drop-off points around Paris where you can board their buses to travel the short distance to Versailles. Very convenient. When we reached the site, our minders - Inez and Javier - whisked us past the long queues and into a side entrance reserved for groups. Inez sorted the audio guide equipment and sent us on our way.
We were told to gather at the meeting point no later than 4:15 pm which gave us ample time to explore this magnificent palace. The audio tour is easy to use and contained interesting commentary though the personal touch of a human guide would have been nice. The gardens, in winter, are so serene that we spent a lovely hour or so wandering the myriad paths. There are a couple of food options within the site, so you won't go hungry. Be sure to visit the sweet little gift shop for fun souvenirs!
From pick-up to drop-off, the experience was well organized and easy breezy.
Nice tour. Guide was helpful. Waited for the return bus a bit longer than i think we should have. Otherwise, it was a great experience. plenty of time to explore. Would like the overall time printed somewhere in the details.
Versailles is an amazing place to visit.
The tour was as described on the web site; on time, very good bus, guide very friendly.
The only thing you should tell people before is that the audio guide does not include earphones, it wasn't fun to realize it when you get the machine and hold it with your hand next to your ear while you are walking for 2 hours.
Gain entry to the famous Palace of Versailles without waiting in line with this 5-hour skip the line tour from Central Paris. With priority access to the UNESCO World Heritage site, don your audio tour (available in eleven languages) to listen as you walk through the legendary State Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors. Stroll through the lush gardens, designed by André Le Nôtre, and learn about Louis XIV, the flashy king who once inhabited this opulent residence. Round-trip transportation from 3 departure points in Paris via air-conditioned bus is included.
Best of Versailles Day Trip with Skip-the-Line Access & Lunch from Paris
Ricardo was Amazing
, Sep 2019
Everyone told us to skip Versailles because the lines would be too long and it would be so crowded we would not enjoy it. So wrong!!! Our guide Ricardo was not only knowledgeable about the history, but he knew how to navigate the site so efficiently that not a moment was wasted on a line!!
It was our lucky day - this turned into a private tour as we were the only couple signed up that particular day. Our guide did a spectacular job of getting us to the gates and positioned for entry at our pre-assigned time. She then guided us well through the palace itself over about an hour's time. We then had time to peruse the gardens on our own before meeting at a pre-assigned time and location near the Grand Canal for a 3 course lunch. Following lunch, we were driven a short distance to the Grand Trianon an Petit Trianon. From there, I wandered on my own to Marie Antoinette's village before returning to the vehicle for return trip to Paris. Pick up was near the Eiffel Tower and very convenient to our hotel.
Delve into the Versaille’s visionary architectural array on a comprehensive full-day tour from Paris. Sail past long lines outside of the Palace of Versailles with your priority-access pass. Absorb the botanical beauty of the palace gardens, and then head to an esteemed restaurant by for a gourmet 3-course lunch (if option selected). Conclude with a visit to the Queen’s Hamlet and the Grand Trianon.
Great description by the Chauffeur cum guide. Almost felt as a part of WWII.
However, as a family we were made to sit in three different rows in minivan. Were told that we signed the fine print contract. Ha ha ... hilarious. If not for the guide , and the location itself, should you still choose this, then be prepared to sit as split family

Skip-the-Line: Paris Catacombs Tour with VIP Access to Restricted Areas
Skulls and Bones!
, Feb 2020
Fascinating. Our guide, Leye, is a great storyteller, very engaging and energetic. He kept us moving along without hurrying us. It would have been a lot less interesting without him. It's a little creepy down there, but not really because it's so well maintained.
This trip was beyond amazing John (Edward) was such a great guide called people by name and made it seem like we knew eachother super friendly and the amount of info we received was beyond amazing I was alone and felt like I was with friends I Definitely recommend taking this tour the stuff we saw the general public doesn't see was out of this world!!!

Small Group Versailles Palace Day Trip with Skip the Line Audio Guided Tour
Versailles Small Group Tour
, Dec 2019
Tour was good but still crowded during the afternoon time slot. Traffic was bad getting back to Paris, but our guide Jose was.Great! He ended up taking us through Paris as well pointing out several sights to visit that we had not yet seen as we worked our way through traffic. Jose was knowledgeable advice well explaining Versailles history on the way out for the tour.
Go back in time to experience the opulence of the Palace and Gardens of Versailles on this small-group tour from Paris. Walk through the glittering Hall of Mirrors, see the Royal Apartments, and admire the enormous gardens and beautiful fountain displays. Weekend visitors from April to October can see the famous fountain shows. Choose either a half-day independent tour in either the morning or afternoon, or a full-day guided tour. Pick-up and drop-off at central Paris hotels is included to make everything hassle-free.
Let me start by saying the tour guide did an amazing job and I really enjoyed what we were able to do for the tour. He alone would receive 5 stars. However, I was disappointed about the truthfulness of the Viator description and information provided for this tour which has lowered my review to only 3 stars. I researched extensively the tour I wanted which would check off the items I wanted without unneeded distractions and it is clear that the description and instructions have not been updated to reflect the current situation in Paris. Specifically the following points:
1- The what’s included section specifically states "Elevator ride to the summit of Eiffel Tower" and "In event that the summit closes at discretion of Eiffel staff your guide will add areas to visit". However upon arrival we discovered that not only was the Summit closed but it has been closed for some time and will be closed for several months into the future! As far as I am aware nothing additional was added to our tour to compensate! After I re-read the description to be sure and the description is exactly what we did, nothing additional!
2- The overview section of the posting states "Get personal attention with a small group limited to 15 people". While the full day tour was only 6 people, the “Eiffel Tower” portion of the tour was combined with a different tour and had at least 25 people, with no headsets to hear the guide. It was very cumbersome moving about the tower as a group. Especially, when I thought I had purchased a small group tour.
3- The instructions are to arrive at the “South Security Entrance”. Well the South Security Entrance is closed and has been for some time. We ended up walking around the entire perimeter of the Eiffel Tower before finding the group at a different entrance.
Finally I would also say that the comment “Optimized itinerary to allow you to make the most of your time” is not exactly a true statement as we ended up with almost an hour to kill between lunch and the river cruise. It would have been nice if there were other nearby things to see instead of simply sitting, having a coffee, and waiting on the appropriate boat time.
In summary, I do not regret doing the tour as the tour guide was quite good. However the marketing is false and the instructions need updated. The company providing this tour should really be ashamed of how false the posting is.
Paris is packed with things to do and see, and this guided walking tour does more in six hours than most can with far more time. An elevator ride up the Eiffel Tower, a Seine cruise, pass by the Notre Dame Cathedral, and a stroll to the Louvre Pyramid are among the highlights.
Pay your respects to French and British military history on a full-day tour of the Somme battlefields. Numbers are limited to eight for a personalized and informative tour.
When I booked this tour, I knew little about the Musee d'Orsay, just that so many people I knew who had visited Paris said it was a must-see. Thanks to this tour and our amazing guide Tristan, my family (two adults, plus 12- and 10-year-old sons) and I feel like we understood not just the "what" of the museum and its works, but the "why" as well. Tristan, who had a fabulous sense of humor as well as deep knowledge about art history, was so good at explaining the big picture history of the art movements represented in the works that we saw; for the first time, I feel like I really get how the various movements flowed and influenced each other. It was very clear that Tristan loves his work. He also deftly handled some of the more scandalous art in a way that was appropriate for our kids, which we deeply appreciated. For that reason I'd highly recommend this tour for families wanting to visit the Musee d'Orsay.
Explore one of the world's most important collections of impressionist and post-impressionist art on this guided tour of the Musée d'Orsay. Instead of trying to navigate the museum on your own, you'll enjoy insight from a guide to make sure you see the top pieces and learn about the artists, such as Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, and Renoir.
