Giverny & Versailles Small-Group Day Trip from Paris
Tour of Giverny and Versailles
, Nov 2019
Wonderful tour! Yvonne, the driver and tour guide, was personable and knowledgeable. Very good English speaker. Great idea to pair these two venues of Monet's lovely home and gardens in Giverny and the fabulous palace and gardens of Versailles. Lunch in between at the charming restaurant on the river was a treat.
We enjoyed our tour. Roseanne drove us in a very comfortable VW van and lunch was good. Our only complaint is that there is no guided tour at giverny, which is what we expected. The tour at Versailles was wonderful and we learned a great deal about French history. The weather in October was a bit dreary, definitely suggest September instead.
The Palace of Versailles is one of the most visited attractions in France, but many tours only visit the palace itself. This full-day tour from Paris includes a visit to Claude Monet’s home Giverny; lunch at a spectacular riverfront location; a guided tour of Versailles; and a chance to see the popular Musical Fountain show.
Experience one of the world’s most romantic cities with a 1-hour horse and carriage ride through Paris. Pass iconic sights like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe as your horse canters through the charming streets of the French capital. Select a departure time to suit your schedule and then sit back and relax on the ride along Champs Elysées toward the grand Trocadero.
Mont-St-Michel Independent Day Tour with Optional Audio Guide from Paris
The most beautiful sights
, Jan 2020
It was a very long bus trip and very exhausting but even though it was raining, it was worth it. The view is magnificent. I bought only the bus trip with audio - guide. I'm not so sure if the audio guide was worth it. I had free time to go to the top of the Mont-St.-Michel and visit the Abbey and had lunch in the surrounding area. I did a lot of walking.
Visit one of France’s top attractions on this independent day trip from Paris to Mont-St-Michel. Relax on a comfortable coach ride as you travel through the scenic landscapes of Normandy en route to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed island, and spend hours exploring at your leisure with a multi-language audio guide (if option selected). Tour the famous Gothic abbey, wander through the narrow streets of the surrounding village, or admire views across the Atlantic Ocean.
The Musée du Louvre, perhaps the most famous art museum in the world, as well as the biggest, can be overwhelming for both first-time and repeat visitors, with its maze of galleries and thousands of works. Take the stress out of navigating the museum on your own by booking a private tour with a guide, who can show you the most impressive pieces of art. Entrance fee is not included, but skip-the-line access is provided with your guide.
Wine Tasting in Paris with Cheese and Charcuterie Lunch
The information she gave about different French wine regions
, Jan 2020
I was on a quick trip to Paris and had been there often, so I wanted to do something a bit different. Also, as I wasn’t sure I could check into my hotel early, this tour was scheduled for 12:15pm... so good for using up time. The winebar O was located near the Louvre and an easy metro ride on the #1 line. There were a few other couples waiting in the bar area when I arrived and we were escorted to the wine tasting room downstairs. Our host introduced herself and told us what to expect. There were a couple of large platters of charcuterie set out, along with multiple glasses and information on the wines and cheeses we would be sampling at each seat. She had each of us introduce ourselves and we got started with a good champagne. She was very good about explaining the various wines (3 whites & 2 reds + champagne), where they were from, how they are made, what they pair well with etc. we were given full glasses of each wine and did refill glasses if someone ‘sampled’ a bit too much. She was even concerned about one of the group who didn’t like red, so she filled her glasses with more of the white. At the end of the tasting, she casually mentioned we could purchase any of the wines, but in no way was it a hard sell. I would definitely do the evening wine tasting or the tasting dinner they offer on my next visit.
Our guide for the tasting was amazing. He taught us many interesting facts and tidbits about wine and the various regions in France. The pick of wines were interesting and lovely to taste. The meat/cheese boards were delicious. It was a fun experience, not boring or stuffy. Loved having the small group. It was interactive and relaxed. Would recommend to other travelers. Feedback: In addition to the tasting - would have preferred to have some wine to drink (even if at my own expense). Re-think those large bulking bar stools (hard to get in and out of).
Spend a decadent afternoon in the French capital with a wine and cheese tasting in Paris, guided by a knowledgeable sommelier. Sample wines from various regions, including Rhone, Bordeaux and Sancerre, learning how each region produces different wines. Find out the proper way to taste wine. Nibble on wine-friendly snacks like French cheeses and cured meats for lunch while you sip in a comfortable converted wine cellar in the center of Paris.
Versailles Palace Half Day Private Guided Tour From Paris, Skip The Line Tickets
From $414.78 (Price varies by group size )
Great Tour with Knowledgeable Guide
, Jan 2020
We visited Paris over the holidays in December 2019-2020. Unfortunately, when we arrived at Versailles, they decided not to open the palace because of the strike. Despite the fact that we were unable to get into the Palace, our tour guide, Fred, provided a wonderful tour, showing us the grounds, gardens and wonderful lunch at a small restaurant in Versailles. We learned a great deal about the Palace, its history and the rooms. He was a wonderful guide and helped us make the best out of a difficult situation.
Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about Versailles and was able to navigate our way through the crowds. He was able to make it feel like a very intimate and informative experience in spite of the hoards of people elbowing their way through the palace. The experience was memorable for all of the right reasons. It was a bonus that he also knew shortcuts through Paris traffic in the midst of a debilitating transit strike. Book this trip!
Our family -- two adults, plus 12- and 10-year-old sons -- got so much out of this tour. We felt like Fred taught us a French history class in addition to everything about Versailles, in the best possible way; it put Versailles into a larger context, and he did so in a way that even the children got something out of it. He was skilled at avoiding some of the larger crowds within Versailles whenever possible as well. We also appreciated being picked up and dropped off again right at our hotel, along with getting to skip the entry line that was incredibly long even in late November. I'd recommend this tour to anyone, including families, who want to see Versailles and learn an incredible amount about it without being just another visitor in one of the enormous groups.
During this private excursion, beat the crowds at the popular Palace of Versailles with skip-the-line admission tickets, while learning more from your professional art historian guide than travelers exploring independently. Ideal for first-time visitors or those on a time budget, visit the palace, gardens, the Hall of Mirrors, and more, in only half a day.
We had a great time cooking quail, potatoes, and chocolate lava cake with the chef. He provided an intimate environment to learn about French cooking and everyone in our group seemed to have a fantastic time.
We had a blast cooking with Chef Myriam! . Would highly recommend doing this. The food we cooked was amazing and the experience was on a personal level. Cannot wait to do it again. Not to mention the views from the apartment were gorgeous. Definitely a MUST!
Get the authentic French culinary experience with a small-group cooking class in a private Parisian apartment. Head to the centrally-located home and get ready to learn — and eat! Meet your local chef instructor, gather ingredients on an optional market tour, and discover the fundamentals of preparing classic French dishes such as soufflé, cod mouclade, and chocolate fondant. Then prepare and savor delicious dishes with fellow food lovers.
Don’t like to waste time waiting in lines? Book this half-day Palace of Versailles tour that includes round-trip train transport from Paris, a skip-the-line entrance ticket and an audio-guide. After reaching Versailles by RER train, an informative guide takes on you a pleasant 2-hour tour of the garden grounds. Then, sail past the queue at the palace and explore its stately rooms at your own pace before returning to Paris via train at a time of your choosing.
Dinner and Show at the Paris Moulin Rouge with Transport
A fun night!
, Oct 2019
We signed up for transportation to and from a central location. the bur ride to Moulin Rouge was very nice. We waited outside for a few minutes before we were brought into the center. Once inside, we were not able to select our seats but rather were directed as to where to sit. We were close to the stage which was nice. Before dinner was served, various singers entertained us. They invited people to come to the dance floor to dance but it was impossible to get there unless you were seated close to it.
Dinner and the wine provided were fair. Neither of us liked the appetizer. You had a choice of chicken or fish for dinner which was fair. The wine included in the package was not good. dessert was okay.
You can not take pictures during the show so if you want some memorable buy one of the souvenir books before the show. The show was wonderful and exactly what we were hoping for! The dancers were fantastic although clad with varying amount of dress. There were many bare breasted women during the show. The men were good dancers too. There were many dances including what could be considered a traditional can-can.
When they sat you will be dropped out in central Paris, they mean it. It would have been better to have been taken back to the ticketing center. We were able to catch a taxi back to where we were staying.
Spend an evening at the iconic Moulin Rouge in Paris, where you enjoy a 3-course dinner with wine before watching the show ‘Feerie.’ Dine on quintessential French dishes then see dancers on stage perform the famous cancan. Transportation by coach is included from central Paris up to the bohemian Montmartre district. The Moulin Rouge dress code is elegant, so dress to impress!
Montmartre Walking Tour: Paris' Best Art, Culture and Food
Great tour with Hafid
, Jan 2020
Great fun! Hafid was very knowledgeable about the history and had some very helpful inside tips. We (the group) had a blast. Montmartre is incredibly beautiful and Hafid lifted the experience to the next level with all the stories and insights. Highly recommended.
Hafid was awesome!! The best tour guide I’ve ever had. His knowledge of Montmartre was interesting and kept our attention!! He allowed time for pictures. I never felt rushed! I highly recommend Hafid, he even emailed me recommendations for other tours!!! That was over the top!! Such good information!!! I wish I could have him for all of our tours in Paris!! I left with a smile on my face!! I had made a new friend!! Thank you Hafid!!!

Professional and charming! Isadora made it easy for us to feel comfortable during our shoot. It was easy to see that she had a lot of experience with lighting, angles, and locations to get the best photo! We would definitely have her take photos of us again when we return!
Isadora rocks! She was in constant communication with us, weeks before our trip. There was rain in the forecast on the day we were scheduled, and she gave us options to choose from, in case the weather did not cooperate. Fortunately for us, it did, and our photos turned out fabulous! Thank you, Isadora! You are a true professional, and we received our photos 3 days after the photoshoot and everything is beautiful!

Excellent our guide was informative and explained each wing of museum for us. He was enthusiastic and gave us a good deal of the history. He took an extra step & walked us to the Mona Lisa thus saving us valuable time trying to navigate it on our own! As a VP of HR in America he is the ideal employee and a great representative of your company
I believe and hope his name. Was josh he was amazing and suppper tall so hard to lose wa very friendly and efficient made you feel like you were there with a friend I definitely recommend this he took us str8 to the Mona Lisa which alone I'm sure would have taken me a day to find that place is a maze after he left I was clueless but amazed at all the beautiful art josh you rock thank u!!
Guarantee your admission to the always-busy Louvre, and save time that otherwise would’ve been wasted in line, when you book this skip-the-line experience. Meet your host in front of the world-renowned museum, and head right inside. Beyond typical pre-booked, skip-the-line ticket purchases, this experience also guarantees you can pick your preferred itinerary, receive a map to guide you, and ask any logistical questions of your host before setting off to explore the galleries independently.
This tour can seem kinda pricey BUT ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY (or euro😉) . The private van/driver stays with you the entire time and the guide really knows his way around and knows how to cut through all the lines very efficiently. He was also bery knowledgeable of the history and demographic .
Our guide was wonderful and did so much to accommodate the various guests. Given the construction at Notre Dame, the long lines to see Mona Lisa and the short amount of time for lunch, along with the incredible traffic in Paris, it all felt a rushed, however, that's the nature of the city and sights, not the tour itself.
Get acquainted with Paris' most important landmarks on this Viator Exclusive VIP tour. With your small group of up to nine people, visit the charming neighborhood of Montmartre, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower. Learn about the City of Light's culture, history, and traditions through your guide's commentary and semi-private tours at each stop. Leo was a very experienced, and knowledgeable tour guide. Her stories were engaging and really painted a picture of what it was like for Parisians in 1770’s. Leo was patient with children on the tour, and answered every question they had to offer. Whether that was if ghosts are real, to were the bones were fake. I would recommend a tour with Leo any day. Thank you Leo for making this tour so enjoyable.
See one of Paris's spookiest attractions on this skip-the-line tour of the "world's largest grave." Forego the long lines in front of the attraction and head straight inside. Be prepared to see thousands of bones and skulls, remains from graves that were overflowing and consequentially excavated in the 17th century and hear amusing antidotes from your expert guide.
It was a dream, even with the rain! The photos with raindrops are like Arts! The service was excellent and the meal wonderful 😀! That will not be the last time I did it! Sure I will come again! Maybe for the nexts birthday witch my family and friends!
Thank you for the wonderful evening!
The food was very tasty and the service was excellent.
SHORTCOMING alert...there was no guidance about how to use the pen that sits in the on the table to activate the guided information (the inside of the menu) for the sites we saw. We figured it out and so will you. It would have been an EASY fix to announce this to customers on arrival.
Take earbuds to connect to the pen. Who wants to hear information about the sites in Japanese at the table next to yours while yours is in English.
Pair a romantic, gourmet meal with fantastic sightseeing and you have this unique panoramic bus tour in Paris. Aboard a glass-enclosed, double-decker bus, take a seat at your table and soak up stunning 360-degree views of the City of Light as you indulge in fine French cuisine. Enjoy a 4-course lunch tour or stretch out the experience over a 6-course dinner. Sip wine, dine, and watch beautiful landmarks including the Notre Dame Cathedral, Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower pass by.
We decided to take a walking tour to learn more about the city and immerse ourselves in the area.
We were not disappointed with this event.
Be aware that there are no stops for a bathroom break during the tour. You'd be better off getting to the starting area early to eat and use the toilette. (We are at IT, but there were at least four other locations to grab a bite or a happy hour drink prior to commencing the tour.
Michelle was GREAT!! We enjoyed her enthusiasm and balance of art, art history, & French history in telling the stories of the area and different eras. This is not always easy given you never know who the tour is comprised of.
Taking this tour in the late afternoon gives way to spectacular natural lighting for pictures which eventually give way to beautiful nighttime shots.
I would recommend this tour to anyone, except maybe those with young children. (The hilly walk could prove too hard on them those to old for a stroller, and the topics too advanced for those under 12 years old.)
Thank you Michelle for making our trip to Paris more memorable.
Explore the Parisian neighborhood of Montmartre—a historically bohemian quarter known for its artists, street performers, and cancan dancers—on this walking tour with a guide who introduces you to the sights that line the hilly, cobblestone streets. Hear stories about famous figures like Monet, Picasso, and Van Gogh, and see landmarks such as Basilica du Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre.
First of all thanks to Viator for providing such a qualified and excellent guide. Secondly, Our guide Annia (hopefully I spelled it correctly) was so much more than we had expected. She spent the entire day walking us around each area of central Paris (the Metro was down because of the French Labor Manifestations). Her knowledge was exceptional and is one of the nicest people we encountered on our entire trip. We would highly recommend Viator (we ended up booking all of our activities through them after this experience and saved quite a bit of money). We would also clearly highly recommend Annia as guide as well.
We have learnt a lot of histories from our tour guide Stephanie. She is very knowledgeable and friendly, plus she took really good pictures of me and my husband :). It is definitely a great way to start our adventure in Paris, like an overview of a book. For all these first time travelers, we definitely recommend you to sign up this trip!!
Marvel over medieval monuments and modern masterpieces on this private 6-hour of Paris. Enjoy the undivided attention of your private guide as you stroll around the Latin Quarter; admire icons like Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Louvre; and pose for photos beneath the Eiffel Tower. Your itinerary is yours to customize as you please, so you could enjoy window-shopping along the Champs-Élysées, admire the grand architecture of Place de la Concorde or get off-the-beaten-track and seek out little-known sights.
Palace of Versailles Skip the Line Audio Guided Tour & Gardens Access from Paris
Nice Big Palace, Quick Audio Tour
, Dec 2019
Overall, it was nice seeing the Palace of Versailles and to have transportation (van) and tickets included. However, it was a bit pricey for a couple of hours at the palace, and we didn't really need to skip any lines. The tour guide explained about the place as we drove which was nice, but the tour of the palace is only on one floor and is self-guided. It rained when we were there so we didn't get to go out to the (huge) garden as much since it was muddy. Overall, the palace is nice to see.
Our guides were kind and knowledgeable. They spoke English and Spanish which was a plus for many of us on the tour. They gave us advice about how to tour Versailles to maximize our 2.5 hours there. All in all a great value and wonderful experience.
The Palace of Versailles is so worth the trip! Gardens and Palace are gorgeous. Only issue was that the four hours was not enough for palace and gardens. If I ever get the opportunity to go again, I will opt for the full day.
Travel back in time to the site of France’s most extravagant monarch with this 2.5 hours guided audio tour of the Palace of Versailles. Fast-track entry allows you to skip the lines at this UNESCO World Heritage site, and you’ll arrive in style in a fully air-conditioned coach. Spend time exploring one of France's most famous and impressive landmarks.
It’s historical and culturally how a king’s living style as money is not a concern. Despite the rain there’s no lacking of American tourists. Our guide is okay. Maybe anxious to share her knowledge; talking more than we can absorb.
Great tour led by Manny! Only issue was waiting in the rain for the Skip-the-Line tickets, but I believe it was due to the fault of the palace staff. Manny was excellent and would definitely recommend this tour to others!
Immerse yourself in the opulence and drama of Versailles Palace and Gardens on a small-group tour from Paris to Versailles. Champagne Small-Group Day Trip including Moet & Chandon Visit & Lunch
Wonderful day in Reims and Epernay!
, Oct 2019
Ask for Pamela, she was smart, fun, engaging and an excellent driver. The Moet & Chandon tour by Mariana was informative and thorough, with impressive facilities including the exhibits and tasting room, and an intimate tour of the Pere et Fils 6th generations of winemakers was a special experience. My only suggestion would be to choose a more traditional and less contemporary location for lunch. 5 stars!
Discover France’s exquisite Champagne country on this full-day history and tasting tour from Paris. In a small group, wind through verdant hillsides en route to wine estates, a distinguished Champagne house and the charming city of Reims for a tour of the famous Gothic cathedral. Your tasting adventure includes guided tours of vineyards and champagne cellars, complimentary samples of sparkling wines and a traditional French lunch.
Best way to start the Parisian experience! Highly recommended
, Feb 2020
It was my first day in Paris and what a way to start this trip! Nancy, our guide was waiting for the group by the group entrance and she was a delight. Friendly and very knowledgeable. The 3.5 hours flew by, what an incredible first experience in the #1 museum in the world. Nancy covered all the key masterpieces and even had time to show us more than was originally planned. I recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed!
Great tour with good information. Violet shares details and information, but not so much that you get bored. We learned many new things and enjoyed all the exhibits that were highlighted. This tour was well worth purchasing.
The tour was well organised and it made visiting the Louvre an easy and fun experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the art works and the history of the museum. We had a great time and we would thoroughly recommend the tour.
Visit the Musée du Louvre to see its most famous artwork, Leonardo da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa,' without the typical crowds on this tour that provides skip-the-line access for the museum's last entry of the day. Enter the museum as it's getting ready to close, taking advantage of this time of day to admire the painting among fewer people. Plus, see the museum's other masterpieces with an art historian guide. Tour is limited to 15 people for a small-group experience.
Let me start by saying the tour guide did an amazing job and I really enjoyed what we were able to do for the tour. He alone would receive 5 stars. However, I was disappointed about the truthfulness of the Viator description and information provided for this tour which has lowered my review to only 3 stars. I researched extensively the tour I wanted which would check off the items I wanted without unneeded distractions and it is clear that the description and instructions have not been updated to reflect the current situation in Paris. Specifically the following points:
1- The what’s included section specifically states "Elevator ride to the summit of Eiffel Tower" and "In event that the summit closes at discretion of Eiffel staff your guide will add areas to visit". However upon arrival we discovered that not only was the Summit closed but it has been closed for some time and will be closed for several months into the future! As far as I am aware nothing additional was added to our tour to compensate! After I re-read the description to be sure and the description is exactly what we did, nothing additional!
2- The overview section of the posting states "Get personal attention with a small group limited to 15 people". While the full day tour was only 6 people, the “Eiffel Tower” portion of the tour was combined with a different tour and had at least 25 people, with no headsets to hear the guide. It was very cumbersome moving about the tower as a group. Especially, when I thought I had purchased a small group tour.
3- The instructions are to arrive at the “South Security Entrance”. Well the South Security Entrance is closed and has been for some time. We ended up walking around the entire perimeter of the Eiffel Tower before finding the group at a different entrance.
Finally I would also say that the comment “Optimized itinerary to allow you to make the most of your time” is not exactly a true statement as we ended up with almost an hour to kill between lunch and the river cruise. It would have been nice if there were other nearby things to see instead of simply sitting, having a coffee, and waiting on the appropriate boat time.
In summary, I do not regret doing the tour as the tour guide was quite good. However the marketing is false and the instructions need updated. The company providing this tour should really be ashamed of how false the posting is.
Paris is packed with things to do and see, and this guided walking tour does more in six hours than most can with far more time. An elevator ride up the Eiffel Tower, a Seine cruise, pass by the Notre Dame Cathedral, and a stroll to the Louvre Pyramid are among the highlights.
Versailles Palace and Marie-Antoinette's Trianon from Paris
, Nov 2019
Young lady had great knowledge of Versailles and Louis IV. All went well, except got lost in Marie's garden. Perhaps the people could put up some sign posts as directions.. We followed a sign that said Little Trianon but then led to 3 pathways, not very helpful when trying to get back to bus waiting for us.
First off the tour guide (Princess AKA Beyonce) was awesome. Very informative and friendly. This trip was a half day. You start out by going to the pickup point. My recommendation is to googlemaps the address and to try and use your phone for GPS as the streets are very confusing. Once you get to the pickup point they take in you to Versailles in a large van or small bus. You then are able to walk the grounds at Marie Antoinette's Trianon. You have about an hour (which you cant see everything in that time) before you get bused off to the main Versailles. You then have a guided tour of the palace. After that you have about an hour to explore at your own pace before you are taken back to the drop off point. All in all it was good to have the guide as opposed to going on your own. I recommend the tour.
I really enjoyed my day at Versailles! We had the most wonderful guide! Myeva was truly a delight. We had a great driver as well! Nice bus too. I wish we had more time at the venue's though...scrambling to try and see both...not enough time on grounds.
Experience the opulence of Versailles and Marie Antoinette’s personal palace, Le Petit Trianon, on a fascinating day tour from Paris. Enjoy a skip-the-line guided tour of the magnificent Palace of Versailles and see Marie Antoinette’s elaborate fairytale village and residence at the Queen’s Hamlet. Complete your royal tour with a stroll through the labyrinths and fountains of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Versailles Gardens.
