Multnomah Falls Zen: Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls Tour

The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring and meditating on wonders with very short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe. We'll visit waterfalls and overlooks, selected by our guides to include both the most iconic, like the unmissable Multnomah Falls, tallest in Oregon and one of the most photographed waterfalls in the world, and the special. Depending on weather conditions, this could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt. We'll also tell you stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall.

Bike Around Portland: Best of the city! Bridges, doughnuts, parks and roses

It's all about the bike ride! Our approach is to spend more time riding, but always stopping to smell the roses! Start in the inner Eastside neighborhoods, where we will fit you for a bike and helmet, ready for a sweet 9-11 mile ride through a pretty residential neighborhood, to our favorite rose garden, into an art-heavy industrial district, across the sexy Tilikum Bridge, and onto Portland's waterfront. From there, it's a visit to Old Town/Chinatown, and pop into the Pearl District, before we head back over another bridge back to our shop! You'll visit a total of five of the city's quadrants, ride over two bridges, and along the Willamette River. We'll visit a number of almost-secret beaches, read poetry written in the sidewalks and rocks, see public art of every shape, color and texture. And have you tried some of the city's best doughnuts? Now you can! (And no, we don't mean Voodoo.) All along the way, we'll tell the stories of the city we love.Bikes, helmets and water provided.

Craft Breweries of Portland Walking Tour

Our small group Eastside Craft Brewery walking tour takes you to the side of the river where the hotbed of innovation has always been, across from downtown Portland in a neighborhood packed with breweries young and old. We'll head toward the river from our inner Eastside shop into an industrial neighborhood rich with food and art, exploring the past and the present of Portland's craft brewing culture.Portland was a leader in the craft beer industry, and boasts more breweries than any city; whatever your beer love (sours? Craft barrel-aging? Belgians? Wits? Imperial IPAs? Fresh hops, dry hops, no hops?), there's certainly a brewery that made its name in that style. All of these thrive in this neighborhood, where Around Portland Tours makes its home. The tour in total is 2-3 miles of walking, with just enough beer tasting so you'll know which stop you'd like to return to. We always keep groups very small, so you'll have an intimate experience with your passionate guides!
