Prague Ghosts and Legends of Old Town Walking Tour
Ghosts and Legends tour
, Dec 2019
We loved this tour. The guild was very engaging. He told of the legend and then gave a very believable common sense explanation and left it to you what to believe. It’s not a frightening tour but an interesting one. Two hours long so wrap up warm!
My guide is charming. She apparently has good communication and storytelling skill. I however sometimes felt that the time was not well spent when she included trivial non-horror stories. Otherwise, it was entertaining.
Learn about the ghosts and ghouls of Prague on this informative and entertaining walking tour through Prague's Old Town. Our guide Thomas was a pleasant young man who was very good at telling us the history and stories during our tour. However, I just felt there was something missing and that it was all too nice. May have just been too many torches so we lost any atmosphere.
Explore underground Prague, going to cellars and beneath Old Town Square to a former prison, on this entertaining and informative guided tour. Learn about the history of the city from a totally different perspective.
Informative, grim, comprehensive. Hit the right note.
, Nov 2019
Begins the whole sad history of the setting (fort and town) from its founding in 1780' and it's various uses since then, incl. of course, by the Nazis. . The tour guides, both the main guide - who is with us through most of the tour, starting and ending in Prague, and the local Terezin guide, were articulate, responsive, knowledgeable, and - as stated in the title above - hit the 'right note' (my opinion), which must be very much a challenge considering the grimness of the matter.
Take in a poignant piece of World War II history on this half day tour of Terezin Concentration Camp from Prague. Led by an expert guide, learn the history behind one of the largest camps in the Czech Republic and preserve the stories of the lives lost. See the complex as well as the Terezin Memorial, the only institution of its kind in the country. Your tour will conclude with transportation back to Prague.
It felt like walking the streets of Prague in another time. Liam is a great storyteller. Much better than any other tour we could have done. A planned break with something hot to drink in order to warm up would have been a nice additional feature.

Learn about the shady side of Prague as you stroll the dark streets of the city with an experienced guide and storyteller. Hear stories of crime, revenge, and lost souls you’d probably miss otherwise, and enjoy the creepy atmosphere stirred up by your guide. A choice of time slots gives you useful flexibility.
We visited Kutna Hora from Prague with Andrea as our guide. We mostly wanted to see the Ossuary, which was fascinating, but we also got to see some other lovely places and learnt some really great facts. We also had an amazing lunch in an authentic Czech tavern. Andrea was a fantastic guide. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Kutna Hora Tour including the Ossuary Visit from Prague
Great chance to see a town outside of the city
, Feb 2020
It ended up being almost a private tour as there was just me and one other couple. Our guide was very knowledgeable and nice. The bus was nice and comfortable. We went to the Ossuary and St. Barbara’s Cathedral, as well as walked around the town a bit. Our guide knew of some great locations to get some amazing photos. Then we had about and hour and a half of free time to walk around the town and do whatever we wanted. My guide pointed me to a small restaurant in the town square that had good food and coffee and she was absolutely right. I got to sit by a window and relax with a good cup of coffee and people watch for a bit. The fact that this tour offered hotel pick up and drop off was a great bonus as I didn't have to try to figure out how to get to where I needed to be, which can be stressful. The only downfall would be that it felt a bit rushed at times. But that could just be me as I like to really stop and take photos and appreciate what I’m seeing. So there were a few times that I got behind the group as I was stopping for a photo or to look at something, but my group was never out of my sight and since there were only three of us, I never had to worry that I would be left behind.
All in all, for the money spent it was a good tour and a good chance to see a town outside of Prague that also had history behind it. Very worth it
This tour allows you to visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kutná Hora, including the Ossuary, on a trip from Prague. Skip the hassle of renting a car with round-trip transportation from your Prague hotel. Entrance fees are included for a hassle-free experience.
What a wonderful private walking tour if Prague we had. Pavel met us at our hotel..6 adults, 4 children under 5 in double strollers. He navigated us around the city like a champ! Over and under bridges, onto the tram, through the castle and cathedrals we went. Along the way, he expertly educated us on the history of the country, the intricacies if the sights and a worldview from a native Czech. From 1 year old to 62, we were all amazed, amused and entertained. May you be so lucky!
Explore Prague your way with this private tour that gives you the option of walking through the narrow streets or traveling by private car. With a guide, check out the city’s main attractions—from Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral to the Jewish Quarter, Old Town and Charles Bridge—and follow the Royal Way, a route used during coronations of Bohemian kings.
Really enjoyed our tour with Gustav as our guide. So knowledgeable, very customer focused, and great communicator. Cesky Krumlov is amazing as it is! We also commend the tour agency for continuing with the tour even though there were only the two of us. Highly recommend!
Making your own day trip to Cesky Krumlov from Prague means arranging train tickets, and transport and sightseeing while you’re there. This full-day tour takes away the burden, with return coach transport, lunch, entrance fees, and a guide included. Explore the cobbled lanes as you learn about their history and after lunch, visit Cesky Krumlov Castle, the centerpiece of the UNESCO-listed town, to see its palaces, gardens, and revolving theater.
Small-Group Prague City Walking Tour Including Vltava River Cruise and Lunch
A must tour to get to know Prague
, Feb 2020
I highly recommend this tour. Our guide was Petr and he was excellent. Knowledgeable and friendly, everything you would want in a guide. We only had a party of 6 which was great as much more personable. We got to see many of the sites and Petr explained their relevance without going over the top with too much info that some guides do. We stopped off for a snack (included in the price), a boat ride with a drink (I had the hot wine that was delicious), a tram ride and lunch. We ran over time but Petr just carried on and made sure we were well looked after. He even sent us an e-mail after the tour giving us some hints and tips on things to do. Thanks Petr you made our visit to Prague that extra special.
A very good way to see, and maybe better understand, Praha!
, Feb 2020
This is a very good way to see, and maybe better understand, Praha! The guide
Michaela Tseneva was very knowledgeable. She gave us the right amount of information. And was always able to answer our questions. This is important, but she also had so much positive energy that we enjoyed the rather long (about 6 hours) tour until the end. The tour is balanced, walking, tram, break, lunch, boat with snacks. Good value for the money. We were lucky with the weather, cold but sunshine. I also enjoyed the company of the rather small group.
Tour was most enjoyable and our host was friendly, funny and kept us moving at a good pace. He stopped off for a little mid walk break and bought us a traditional Czech breakfast to taste, not part of official tour so I think a great touch.
Experience Prague’s historical highlights by foot and riverboat in one enjoyable city tour. Explore must-sees such as Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and the Jewish Quarter as your guide recounts their histories, and savor a hearty Czech lunch at an Old Town restaurant. Afterward, admire sights such as the Charles Bridge on a Vltava River cruise, complete with a complimentary drink. Finish with a tour of St Vitus Cathedral, the Gothic showpiece of Prague Castle. Numbers are limited to 12 on this small-group tour for a more personalized experience.
I want to say that this town is nothing more than a bunch of small souvenir shops and restaurants sprinkled with a few hotels and a church. The castle is ok nicer outside than inside. It was not said that to get to the town it is a pretty significant walk that if you are not somewhat fit it’s not easy. The majority of stores take cash only didn’t know that either. Not sure if it was worth a six hour round trip to see. It was ok not spectacular.
Explore the UNESCO-listed town of Cesky Krumlov on this day trip from Prague. Accompanied by an expert guide, travel through the scenic Bohemian countryside to arrive in the medieval town. See the church of St. Vitus, the historic town center and the Cesky Krumlov Castle, dating back to 1240. After a full day of sightseeing, your tour will conclude with transportation back to Prague.
This is a great little tour is you want to explore wider than Prague city centre, made all the more enjoyable by our knowledgeable tour guide Nicolo (a doctor in Literature no less). Would highly recommend!
We were told photographing the bone chapel was not permitted, but it didn't stop everyone from taking the obligatory snaps of this marvel (it's akin to a set from the Goonies).
The only downside was the place we were taken to for lunch - my meal wasn't the best, and my companion was unable to eat her meal; but, this is not included in the tour so I would recommend ducking out of the suggested meal venue and finding elsewhere to eat in Kutna Hora.
We enjoyed this day trip very much but having Ian as our guide made it so much fun. He has great stories and points of history that you will never forget. Wait for the camel...Lunch was eh but a side note to the tour. Glad we were able to go before photos are prohibited!
The Cathedral is nothing out of the ordinary but the bone church it is very impressive and shocking for modern people, worth the visit. Tip if you are a Spanish speaking person I would recommend to take the tour in Spanish, our guide Pacifico (yes that's his name) takes his job seriously and knows a lot of about history and you can learn quite a few in one trip to be able to analyze other cathedrals, world places etc.
Make the most of the medieval history on show at Kutna Hora and travel there and back with ease on a full-day trip from Prague. Sit back and admire the Bohemian countryside on route to UNESCO-listed Kutna by air-conditioned bus. On arrival, get the full lowdown on its sights from your guide, including the Sedlec bone chapel, as you explore on foot. Selected entrance fees are included.
Explore Kutná Hora's UNESCO-listed landmarks on a private tour for your group of up to seven people with hotel pickup and drop-off in Prague. Visit the 14th-century Church of St. Barabara, the Royal Mint, a medieval silver mine, and the Bone Church, whose interior is decorated with bones from thousands of human skeletons.
A lovely afternoon trip from Prague. Our guide Martin picked me up on time and we headed to Kotna Hora town to see the St Barbara cathedral and Kotna Hora town. The cathedral was beautiful and martin was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions. After that we stopped for a late lunch at a beautiful pizzeria - very good pizza and then we headed to the bone church as our final sop. this was fascinating and not as creepy as I'd expected - it was very ornate. After we had spent time there, w stopped in the shop opposite and bought a chocolate skull, then we headed back to Prague. Well worth a half day out of Prague and not too far that the drive is exhausting.
Our tour guide, Anna, was phenomenal! She educated us about Czech agriculture, economy, business, and of course, background of Kutna Hora. Her presentation style was very enthusiastic. Every moment was a teaching opportunity, and she provided many opportunities to ask questions. My friend and I were interested in finding traditional Czech food, and Anna recommended a restaurant, which we enjoyed tremendously. She also provided directions to a gift shop that has beauty products made with beer.
Anna was highly knowledgeable, engaging, and committed to providing a high quality experience. She is the best tour guide ever!! THANK YOU, ANNA!!!
The historic town of Kutná Hora is a UNESCO World Heritage site and renowned for its magnificent Baroque and Gothic architecture. On this tour, take in all the highlights on a half-day trip from Prague, including the Cathedral of St. Barbara and the Sedlec Ossuary (Bone House), and discover the city’s fascinating history.
This tour ended up being private which was great. Our tour guide was a local and was extremely smart and informative. It was definitely a great experience and she offered us advice of what to do after the tour too!

Prague Old Town and Medieval Underground Evening Walking Tour
, Sep 2019
I took this tour on my first evening in Prague. By the end of my time there I had had three additional tours. The cool thing about this tour is that it pointed out things adjacent to sites of interest of the other tours but it didn't replicate the tour information. This tour is fun for groups of people who want to go out for a beer afterwards. You get a walking tour, a glimpse of Prague's medieval history under buildings that you walk by during the day and would never know what lies beneath. I recommend this tour as it is supplemental to any other tour that you might do in Prague.
Prague’s history isn’t just on show above ground: it's hidden beneath the cobbled Old Town, too. With this tour, explore the Czech capital’s underground chambers and cellars, some dating from Roman times. Descend below the cobblestones and delve into the city’s medieval history as you explore secret rooms and corners; learn about alchemy, murders, and executions; and discover the dark past of the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Hall.
It was a good trip, surprise front showed up that morning and it was frosting on the verge of snowing. Somewhat difficult to understand our guide at times, rushed at times and were not dropped off at hotel like our booking promised.
our tour guide was very knowledgeable and terezin is about 40 minutes from prague so easy to get to. the tour covers all the grounds and is very thorough-its a very important part of history and definitely worth going to see.
Come with us for 5 hours to Terezin; the city which during Second
World War served as a Jewish concentration camp. Founded in the
late 18th century by Emperor Joseph II. as a fortress to protect The Kingdom
of Bohemia. In 1940, the German Gestapo took control of the city and Terezín
was turned into a Jewish ghetto. Those who are interested in history of Second
World War and the Holocaust can visit with us the Small Fortress Terezín and
museums in the Big Fortress.
Visit the Kutná Hora Ossuary, one of the world's famous 'bone churches' and St. Barbara's Cathedral during this half-day tour from Prague. Walk through the structure made of over 40,000 human bones, fashioned into a chandelier, a coat of arms and other novelties. See the well-preserved town center, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the neo-Gothic St. Barbara's Cathedral. Learn about the history and culture of this town, much of whose architecture dates from the 15th century, from your guide as you travel. Entrance fees and round-trip transportation from Prague are included.
Prague’s past is as dark as they come, but a standard sightseeing tour will only touch on some of its spooky secrets. This walking tour dives head-first into Czech capital’s sinister side, covering mysterious locations and telling tales of executions, murders, curses, and ghosts through the centuries. Discover an underground medieval dungeon with torture instruments, hear grisly legends and facts, and absorb the city’s eerie after-dark atmosphere. Entrance fees included.
Karlstejn Castle And Glass Factory Excursion With Three Course Tasting Lunch
All around wonderful tour
, Sep 2019
My wife and I took this tour to not only see this amazing castle, but also see some of the country side away from Prague. It was perfect for both. Our guide Vladimir was a very nice and interesting man. We truly enjoyed all our conversations with him. Joking, laughing and learning about history. We were also accompanied by a very nice woman (GG). She too was very enjoyable and the four of us never fell into a single awkward silence. Beyond the castle we also enjoyed the trip to the glass factory and then on to our final stop at a wonderful lunch. This was the best tour we ever took, hands down. Ask for Vladimir and you wont be disappointed.
Escape the city and see more of Czechia without having to worry about car hire on a day trip to Karlstejn Castle and a glass factory from Prague. Letting someone else drive allows you to focus on the scenery, while included admission tickets and 3-course lunch makes for a seamless experience.
Terezin Concentration Camp Bus Day Trip from Prague
, Feb 2020
Excellent tour guide Jermey really gave a good insight into the history of Terezin. Recommend to anyone going to wrap up and beware of the cafe owner lady at the site really doesn’t like you to bring your own food 😂
Great tour but extremely uncomfortable travel conditions
, Dec 2019
Our tour guide was Brian Stewart. He's extremely knowledgeable and stays on track. We were on a bus to and from Prague with a Spanish speaking group and their tour guide, Hector, was extremely unprofessional and made our entire bus ride uncomfortable. Our guide was speaking on the bus & not everyone could hear so we asked the other group to keep it down. Hector, the Spanish tour guide, was mad at us and punched the bus wall.
Take a humbling lesson in the horrors of World War II's Holocaust on this day trip to Terezin from Prague by bus. Traveling with a professional guide, discover the former Nazi deportation camp where Jewish prisoners used to be transported, a converted 18th-century fortress where many thousands died at the hands of the Nazis. Tour the barracks and compound of the Main Fortress; visit the museum, cemetery and columbarium; and learn how the Nazis presented the camp as a lively Jewish community to dupe official Red Cross observers.
Private Half-Day Tour From Prague To Terezín Concentration Camp
Exceptional tour of Terezin
, Dec 2019
Our group of 4 toured Terezin on a Sunday from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. We coordinated our pick-up to be at the hotel and our drop-off by the Church of St. Nicholas in the Mala Strana district of Prague. Our pick-up was on time and the ride to Terezin extremely comfortable in a new Mercedes van. Jan (John) was our tour guide and gave great historical information about the countryside and events in Prague as we traveled the 30-minutes to Terezin. He was friendly, informative and managed our time efficiently. I felt like getting there early provided us with a more personal tour before the busses of other tours arrived. I would highly recommend doing Terezin as a small group with Lucy Tours as it was more personal and we saw more than others on the large tour bus. The experience of standing in such a place is hard to put in words and the horrors of this camp are apparent during the visit. I’ve read before that to forget the atrocities of the Holocaust is to live it twice. So by learning about the history of the concentration camp and those who were killed there, their memories will love on forever. Jan was an exceptional guide, very knowledgeable in the Terezin history and at the conclusion of the tour he gave us lunch recommendations. We decided to eat at Malostranska Beseda, which was amazingly delicious!!
See Czechoslovakia’s tragic holocaust history firsthand on a 5-hour, guided tour of Terezín that includes round-trip transport from your Prague hotel by limousine. Visit the site with a local guide for a personalized experience, as you take in the Small Fortress, the Big Fortress, the Ghetto Museum, and other Terezín sites.
