Level 1. The walk begins at about 3,600 masl and ends at 4,000 masl. The trail is marked sandy. The total is approximately 9 km of which 4.5 km are moderate uphill and the rest is downhill.
Level 2. The total is 14km of which 4km are uphill and the rest downhill with a few meters of moderate uphill. The trail is marked, mostly sandy, with a view of the Izta on the way out and a return view of the Popo
Level 3. It is a 7km walk at a height between 4,000 and 4,300 meters above sea level where there will be sand and stone.
