You will learn a lot about how traditional life in Chiloe is and was during the last years. We continue our journey to Castro, the capital of Chiloe, to observe the traditional palafitos (houses built on stilts along the shore) and visit the majestic wooden church (an UNESCO World Heritage Site). We will stroll through town and stop at the crafts market featuring wood and woolen products from the region. In the late afternoon we will return to Puerto Varas driving along the eastern coastal road passing by several small fishing villages.

Join us to explore the Osorno volcano. On the way, pass by typical wooden churches, Chilean farm houses and the town of Ensenada. We invite you to make an excursion to the Osorno volcano, being able to appreciate beautiful landscapes on the way to its top. We will travel along the Llanquihue Lake towards Vicente Pérez Rosales Park, where is the volcano. We will make a walk in the middle of coigües forests and other native species, observing beautiful panoramic views as we ascend. At the end of the road we can, optionally, climb on chairlifts to have a better view of the volcano and the surrounding area.

We will begin our tour bordering Lake Llanquihue along the south bank. We will have the opportunity to learn about the German colonization and agriculture that developed in the area. After our boat ride through the bay, we will return by a coastal road to the city of Ancud, famous for its local craft market. We will take route 5 to connect with a interior mino where we can observe the Chilote field.
