There’s no better way to escape the desert heat than splashing down slides at a water park, and Ice Land Water Park in Ras Al Khaimah has taken the concept of water park fun to a completely other level. Set right on the shores of the Arabian Sea, the water park features Penguin Falls—the world’s largest man-made waterfall—which tumbles 120 feet down into a pool below. At the top of the man-made Polar Mountains, 27 different slides weave down through craggy ravines and canyons that are covered in plastic penguins, and you even get views of the mountains in the distance before racing top speed down the slides. If you just want to casually swim some laps there’s an also an Olympic sized swimming pool, as well as a wave pool that covers nearly an entire acre of the park. If you’re looking for speed, slippery thrills—or simply just need to cool off—you’ll find it here at the pools and slides of the UAE’s largest water park.
Insider's Tip: The park can often get crowded on weekends, so visit midweek to avoid the crowds.
The Ice Land Water Park has every amenity you could need, from changing rooms and gift shops to eight different restaurants. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult, and life jackets are available free of charge. Many of the larger slides have a minimum height requirement of 1.2m (47 inches).
