The tour was fabulous and the guide was outstanding. Her knowledge of Vatican City was over the top and she narrated without notes. The skip the line tour is the best way to go. We went on a Weds during the weekly Papal audience so the Square was packed end to end and wall to wall for the Pope.
Rosie was an amazing guide, full of information and with the loveliest nature.
I would not hesitate to recommend this tour, it just left us all wanting to see and learn more about Ancient Rome.
Well worth it to skip the lines at the Colosseum and to go to all levels and to understand the structure of the Forum and the hills beyond.
I thought it might be too tiring for my 10 year old son but it wasn't, he loved it.
Our best day in Rome.
Was able to skip the line and see the best of the best. Excellent!
Amazing!!! Skip the line is the only way to go. Guide was very knowledgeable.
Glad we were able to skip the line and selected small group upgrade...would consider even the smaller group next time. Area is very crowded and our guide did an excellent job navigating us through the crowd. While we felt jammed in at times we never felt we needed to hurry.
Great tour guide, he loves all the history. But sooo crowded. Definitely helps to book the tour and skip the line!!!!!
This tour was great! Tiberius was really knowledgeable and made this a really enjoyable experience. He took us through the whole Vatican skip the line was WELL worth it and let us do our own thing by the time we go to the Basilica. Great day, great tour! Only recommendation is if you are hungry after the tour, cross the bridge for lunch -- don't stay near the touristy area!
This was an early access tour, and we were inside the Vatican before the general public. The ticket was skip the line, and we did not have to wait anywhere except at the security checkpoint.
Our guide Stephanie was Canadian, spoke English very well and provided us with lots of information and history of this miraculous place.
We were provided headsets to listen to our guide.
Skip the line was totally worth it after looking at how long the lines were!
Honestly, skip the line was my main goal with the tour, but I was so pleased with the tour and our lovely guide, Viviana. When I was looking at options, I agonized over which of the many Vatican tours to choose. I really couldn't be happier with my choice. Viviana has such a wonderfully positive and energetic demeanor. She has such a passion for, and deep knowledge of, the Vatican Museum and the art within. She told of the history, as expected, but also told more obscure stories and details that made the tour so special! I was excited to be able to tell my friends these little insights back home. I would absolutely recommend City Wonders for the tour, but I HIGHLY recommend Viviana as a guide.
Of all the excursions we took in Rome, this is the one not to miss! Our guide Sabrina did an excellent job in the morning guiding us through the highlights of the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's, and the Sistine Chapel. So glad we were able to skip the lines as the crowds were large. In the afternoon, our guide Pia gave us an outstanding tour of the 3 major Basilicas - the highlight of our 7 days in Rome!
Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican in One Day
This one is the best - a must do! First, because it truly is skip the line, and trust me, when you get there and see the sheer volume of people waiting for tickets, you will be very thankful for that. Second, because City Wonders and their guides are so great! The tour was well organized - we got to the meeting place and were immediately checked in and broken into smaller groups. Our guide was informative, and entertaining. She expertly guided us through the museum, Sistine Chapel, and St Peters Basilica, which are all absolutely awe inspiring. It was the highlight of our Rome visit!
Amazing and well worth the experience. our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Skip the line is well worth the money
This tour was excellent and the guide very professional and informative. Skip the line tours are the way to go as the queues are very long. Would recommend.
It was an amazing and breathtaking experience. The crowds were large so it was nice to skip the line and start our tour right away It was very much worth the cost and would go again
Absolutely amazing day, everything was just wonderful. Our tour guides, Maria Vatican portion and Georgia 3 Papal Basilicas portion were both fantastic very knowledgeable, friendly, experienced, and patient ... everything you would want in tour guides. I'm so glad we did this tour, it really made our trip. Also, this was a real skip the line tour, and thank Goodness, because the line we saw went down the long block and around the corner! Would recommend this to anyone visiting for the first time. Also, most of it is indoors which is good for rainy days.
Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican in One Day
I would highly recommend booking in advance although you can buy skip the line tickets there. The tour was excellent, our guide Julia was exceptional, excellent English and a sense of humor, very knowledgeable. If you haven't seen the Vatican and you are in Rome, don't miss it!
Our skip the line tour of the Vatican, etc. was terrific. We loved every second of it and would highly recommend it. We learned so much and truly appreciated being in a small group which enabled us to hear and see our guide, who was obviously well versed in art, art history, and art restoration as well. I have been to Rome a number of times and this was the most informative and best use of our limited travel time. Book Skip the Line via Viator. You will not be sorry!!!
This was one of our favorite tours in Italy. A small group tour is well worth the extra money and our guide Michaela even more so. Even though it was early morning and skip the line the entrance was super crowded, but true to their word there was no wait, only a few minutes to go through security. St. Peters, the Vatican rooms and Sistine Chapel are extensive works of art with a tremendous amount of history in a maze of rooms and thanks to our amazing guide Michaela with her knowledge of history and prior knowledge of working at the Vatican the hours flew by. So happy to have taken this tour. Michaela even took the time to ask where we were from, I was lucky to be in a small group of nine, so when we went into St. Peters she can show us the decal on the floor depicting where other famous churches compare in size, it was quite funny. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone I know,
Our guide was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Skip the line is a good way to go, but it is still very crowded once you get in.
This was the second time we opted for the Skip the Line Vatican Tickets. We love to independently roam through museums at our own pace and interests...we have recommended this to family and friends who traveled to Italy and their responses are the same....OMG! The line to get tickets was a mob scene stretching 6 people wide and winding around for blocks!!! That says it all...go Viator!
Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Tickets
Fabulous tour. We started with the museum and then saw the Sistine Chapel and ended in St. Peter's where our guide left us to explore on our own after giving us a few tips on what to look for. Very informative. So glad to skip the line which was already long at 8:30.
Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour ....Siriana was AMAZING! The amount of detailed History that she knew and had committed to memory was astonishing! She was a lot of fun, too!
Good tour guide. Nice to skip the line.
