Our tour began very early @7am to take the express train from Rome to Napoli that took about an hour. We are from LA, CA so very unfamiliar with the trains, language and signage found the train workers to be unhelpful people so it was close we nearly missed the train. Once arrived in Napoli we were greeted by nice gentlemen on the team who held a signage with my name so that was calming. Then we rode in a clean and comfortable air conditioned van where after picking up about 13 others from various pickups we made it to the boat. The boat was very nice , clean , comfortable , upscale and well kept, beautiful leather with gorgeous wood. The two young boating crewman were skilled efficient, polite & professional. They explain the tour expectations and provided safety information. Then We were on our way. This was one of the best boating excursions I have had the pleasure of experiencing. The views were amazing, we took pictures in the heart shapes cave, and the three big rocks pillars in the sea and every hill & cliff and mansions and numerous yachts. Then we went swimming and snorkeling in the Mediterranean Sea that was turquoise and salty and a dream. We made to Capri Island were we had about 4 hours to shop, dine. I ate the best grilled sea bass about 2 feet long, with grilled zucchini and mussels stew in a fish broth and wine several glasses of wine from Sicily. Then we shopped at a the boutiques where I purchased very Italian chef aprons for the cooks in my family, Capri designer style dress socks for the fashionably dressing men and Capri designer caps for the young casual men. We walked and took in all the sites. On the way back the crewman shared a couple of glasses of a delightful lemon Liqueur alcohol beverage that we sipped on while enjoying more breathe taking beautiful scenic views on our way back to Napoli. At age 60& 65 these two seniors of color thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were able to experience the life of the rich and famous for a day to be remembered forever. This is a must do in your bucket list.

, Nov 2019
really comfortable train ride, the guide was superb, very friendly and very knowledgeable. The whole day was really well organised. Plenty of time to do your own thing as well and get something to eat. The gondolas are a bit expensive but you can't go to Venice and not have a ride in one.
There is so much I could say about the tour. The tour guide was wonderful--but he was put in a bad situation. Gray Line Tours was the operator, and there were probably about 30 or more people. with one tour guide, trying to communicate with the tour group in English, Spanish, and Italian. The tour guide was friendly and polite, but said he wasn't an official tour guide so was limited on the amount of information he could give. We were given tickets to the train, then onto a ferry from the terminal to cross over into Venice. Once in Venice, we were herded into St Marks--made a square in the building and then out. Then time to explore on your own, then herded back for a gondola ride, then free time, then ferry ride back, more free time and train ride. I think there should have been a tour guide for each language spoken, as it was unrealistic for this young man to try to communicate in three languages. He had a positive attitude and was very polite, but many of us felt bad for him. Otherwise, we did meet nice people on the tour, and we enjoyed the gondola ride and walking around in Venice. Gray Line has enough money not to be so greedy and provide appropriate resources.
It is a long day from Rome but well worth it. Our guide met us in Rome and travelled with us all the way to Venice and back. Throughout the trip she provided interesting details about Venice and told us what to expect once we arrived in Venice and the free time available. She suggested places to visit and where to eat and we returned together at the end of the day for a late arrival back in Rome.
