What a great way to see some parts of the city and it's history that you may otherwise miss. Our guide Luccio was patient and knowledgeable and set a comfortable pace for the group. The electrically assisted bikes made the riding relatively easy, even for inexperienced cyclists.
We had the very best time on our 6 hour tour yesterday! We booked our tour for 7 people and had the tour guide all to ourselves with Lucia (not sure of spelling) - he was brilliant and patient and so knowledgable. Our group had young and old but we were all able to manage the ride and we loved getting to see a whole other side of Rome, literally off the beaten track. We also loved our not so 'light lunch' and the hostess was extremely hospitable. Loved this very much and will recommend to all who visit Rome!!
To see more of Rome’s ancient sights than what you find in the historical center, get out of the city on this electric-assist bicycle tour to the Ancient Appian Way. Check out the ruins of the Aurelian Walls, the thermal Baths of Caracalla, and the ancient Roman aqueducts, all the while enjoying the countryside scenery without putting in too much effort. Choose from a shorter or longer duration tour, based on your schedule.
Great tour. Everything runs like clockwork. The meeting point is easy to find, the bikes are excellent (we used manual bikes, the route is pretty flat), route is laid out to avoid main streets, there is time to stop at major sites and walk around (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, etc) and the guide was the super. Highly recommend!
This Rome bicycle tour combines top sights with a few lesser-known attractions and alleyways for an interesting and active way to enjoy the best of the Eternal City. With a knowledgeable guide, cycle past ancient landmarks, admire chic shopping streets, check out bustling squares, see beautiful churches plus take in the views from atop one of Rome's proverbial hills.
This was a highlight of our stay in Rome. Stefano our guide was fabulous and showed us most of the major sites in Rome with a great history behind each so we better appreciated what we were looking at. This tour was great fun, an easy ride and would definitely recommend. A great overview of the city in three hours.
I’m sure there are other fabulous guides for this agency, but when you book this tour, you’ve got to ask for Stefano! He was so ridiculously fun. We took the tour at 5pm and didn’t return until well after 8pm. We rode through city streets alive with people. We rode though narrow alleys and cobblestone sidewalks with smiles plastered on our faces.. it was electric. Stefano had so much knowledge of the city and each attraction we visited. Not only did we learn actual history, he gave us the legends and myths behind each site. My husband is a lover of hats and shared that he really wanted a proper Italian hat. Stefano made sure to stop at several beautiful hat shops and gave us time to shop around (the next day we went back and got a Borsalino..thanks Stefano!). We had the best time that night. You cannot see enough of the city, the real meat of the city, from a train or subway or even from a taxi. So.. schedule your bike ride around the city with Stefano at Wheely!!
With so much to see in Rome, a bike tour is an ideal way to cover lots of ground while saving your feet from fatigue. On this 2-wheeled tour, hop onto a quality bike and follow your local guide through the city’s most charming piazzas and interesting neighborhoods. Starting near the Colosseum, follow a route that takes you past ancient monuments like the Imperial Forum and along the Tiber River while your guide shares legends from the city’s rich history.

Three interesting and enjoyable hours in Rome's Crypts and Catacombs
, Feb 2020
John was an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide who took us through our trip to the Catacombs and Crypts for 3 hrs. Our tour started promptly. The group was of a size that made it easy to hear all explanations and ask questions. The midi bus was comfortable and the driver was excellent, moving us quickly through Rome's streets. Perhaps most importantly, we finished the tour with a sense that we had truly seen and experienced what was advertised. All in all an excellent experience

What a wonderful way to spend time in Rome. My guide was so kind and knowledgeable, and bicycling through the green parks south of the city and experiencing the ancient Appian Way was an unforgettable experience.

Rome in a Day E-Bike Tour with Typical Italian Lunch & Gelato
Rome in a Day Bike Tour
, Nov 2019
We had an absolutely fabulous day with our guide, Daniele. We lucked out with a small group of four. My husband and I are in our early 70’s. The bikes were electric assisted, so that helped us out on the up hills. We think this was the best way to see the highlights of Rome especially if you can have Daniele as your guide. He was great. Lunch and Gelato was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour.
Loved it. Had great time visiting lots of tourist spots plus some great photo locations. Dinner and gelato were great. Covered a good area easily with electric bike. Guide was exceptional. My favourite Day of the the Rome visit.

1.5 Hour Colosseum Express Tour with Arena Stage Visit
, Jan 2020
Our tour was absolutely amazing! My only complaint would be that it was hard to hear our guide sometimes, even with the headphones, but that's understandable with thousands of people on different tours around you. The Colosseum tour was one of our favorite parts of our honeymoon!
Just back from marvelous Rome, where we did a tour of the fabulous Colosseum with our tour guide Dennis. There was a family of four and myself and my husband, so a small group. Dennis was very informative and very passionate about his fellow Roman. No trip to Rome is complete without a trip to the Colosseum. The Tour office is tucked up a little street, follow the directions closely and you wont get lost.
If you’re on a tight schedule, you won’t want to waste time waiting in line—this express tour covers all the highlights of Rome’s Colosseum. Enjoy skip-the-line entrance and enter through the Gladiators’ walkway right onto the arena stage, before climbing up into the stadium to experience the mighty amphitheater from all angles.
The route was incredibly scenic, and afforded a great insight into the history of Rome when coupled with the knowledge of the guide (Kaitlin; sorry, that is close but I know it is wrong!). Highlight of our trip.
Only caveat: the bikes are older step through hub powered (versus crank powered), and Ned a bit of tuning. Squeaky brakes, and the rear derailleur needed tuning if you want to ride without power for a better workout. If you ride under power, all good.
I would book our guide for any tour she offers.
Follow the route of conquering Roman armies on an electric bike tour of the ancient Appian Way and other Eternal City highlights. Awesome tour guide
, Feb 2020
Our tour guide Ficcardo Fiore was VERY kind and super knowledgeable! We ended up having a super private tour of only 4 people and he was awesome . I would have liked to have headphones in to hear him better , but I just kept close to him and enjoyed the ride.
Very informative!. Suggestions: Have a big sign on the assembly area so it is easier to find the tour guide among the other groups crowding the train station outside of the Colosseum. Also would advise the tourists how long the walk actually is especially those with oder people and smaller kids. Overall, it was great.

Brought the Colosseum to life
, Feb 2020
Our tour guide Simone was amazing. She was so knowledgable of all aspects of Roman History, Architecture, Economics. We could not stump her. She had a great sense of humor and spoke perfect English. She was even so kind as to offer to take photos for different guests not even in our tour group. She really brought the Colosseum and Palantine Hills to life. I highly recommend this tour! You will learn so much that can't be pieced together if you go there on you own.
I cannot recommend this tour enough! Lucia was one of the best guides I've ever had throughout my years of traveling! She keeps you entertained and gives you plenty of time to explore and get photos! She even recommended a great place to eat after the tour was done! If you want a thorough but fun guided tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum definitely do this done!
