Great Christmas Experience
, Feb 2020
Nikita was a super friendly and easy-going tour guide for our Moscow trip. Despite the short hours we had, Nikita was able to fill us with the main location history and information that helped us to know the city of Moscow a lot better. Considering the fact that our visit period was over Christmas time, there were road blocks around Red Square main areas, which might be a little inconvenient to commute from one point to the other. Thanks to Nikita, who guided us through short cuts and routes that required minimal detours while showing us the main key visit points. The tour was very enjoyable as Nikita was able to answer most of our questions, will highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good tour guide in the city
We will meet you in the hotel and proceed to the Red Square - one of the most iconic Russian sights, filled with history and magnificent beauty. We will see traditional Russian churches with their onion domes and walk inside some of them to see how unique is the architecture of them, how people pray, for these churches are still in use! We will walk through a great glass gallery of a ~130 years old shopping mall GUM. See the famous tomb of the first Russian communist leader - Lenin. And of course - Saint Basil's cathedral. Hear the story about Ivan the Terrible and how he blinded the architects of the cathedral, because he didn't want them to repeat the stunning beauty of the masterpiece!
Walk through a modern wonder of Zaryadie park, stop for a Russian lunch in the best cafe/restaurant of Moscow. Walk to the walls of Kremlin. Hear the stories about it's towers, see the change of guards and an eternal flame - a wonderful and scary memorial to the victims of WWII.
It was a wonderful tour! We have different guide for each day, it just happened that they both call Kate😃. We love this tour as you can customize it with your guide to fit your plan and physical fitness. We’ve been to many interesting places, eg the Kremlin( not in the itinerary but they were so kind to arrange it with additional entrance fee), the Red Square, the wooden Kremlin, a few lovely metro stations, the former KGB headquarters, etc. We highly recommend this tour, our guides are so knowledgeable and helpful. What a magical memory! Thank you Kate and Nikita!
On this tour we will see all the main must see sights and also some of the off the beaten path places of Moscow.
We are experienced guides with degrees in art-history, we love our city and always ready to discover new about it.
We know the best cafes and restaurants of Moscow. We can always recommend what to do after the tour: best museums, cafes, bars, clubs, etc.

We are ready to customise our tours according to your wishes.
Please, note that it's a walking tour (we will take public transport or taxis from time to time), so if you would like this tour to be on a car, please, notify us in advance and we can organise a car for the tour, as well:))
Our guide, Katia, was on time waiting for us at the hotel lobby. We stayed at the city center so it was very convenient and fast to get to the Kremlin. Katia is very knowledgeable and friendly. She is very active and knows her way how to get faster to the places and avoid long lines and crowd. This was the perfect tour for us a group of just 5, so we could decide what to see and how long. We had time constraint, because of travel arrangements and Katia knew exactly how to fit us and get the most. Thanks very much!
We bet Kremlin is the first thing people come up with when people raise the topic of Moscow sights. We can tell for sure - this is one of stereotypes we support. Indeed, you won't find a better place to explore the beauty and scale of Russian architecture, understand the role of religion in Russian people's lives and how much attention we pay to wars here.
Here is what we offer:
• this tour will only take 3 hours (there will be a possibility to extend it on the go)
• you'll see Alexander's garden and Kremlin from the inside (and all the cathedrals, for sure)
• the admission fees are included in the price
• all our guides are local so you'll be able to ask them anything about life in Russia
• being local, our guides are licenced professionals
We'll take care of your time in Moscow - your comfort and bright impressions are our top priorities.
A fantastic day ... Olga couldn’t have been more friendly !
Pick up was very straightforward..... tour was perfect , we saw everything as indicated & more .... pace was perfect, her knowledge & enthusiasm was brilliant.... the included lunch was traditional & delicious ... Olga really was the perfect tour guide, we had a great time with her & it always felt comfortable & relaxed ... yet highly efficient & enjoyable ! A must do in St Petersburg
Just back from a wonderful trip to St Petersburg! It is a stunning city choc full of history and to that end we booked a full day tour to cover some of the major sights! We were truly blessed to have a wonderful tour guide in Olga! She was courteous friendly and incredibly knowledgable about her amazing city and the tour itself was seem-less! One of the great advantages of visiting St Petersburg in winter is the complete lack of queues at all the major sites and walking around the Hermitage with virtually no one there was a great pleasure. I Would highly recommend Olga and the tour and we look forward to our next visit to this beautiful city!
I have just finished a 3 week journey from Beijing to St. Petersburg. Along the way I have taken many tours. This tour is tops on my list!
Olga! You must ask for Olga! She has an amazing sense of humor and she knows her facts! History was never my favorite subject, but if I had had Olga as a history teacher, I think I might have changed my major! She was patient when I took 5 million photos. She never tried to hurry me.
For a 1 day tour I feel like I got 3 days in! All of the churchs/cathedrals AND the Hermitage! If I had tried to visit the Hermitage on my own I would have missed so much. She knew the details of many paintings. Once she knew the kind of paintings I liked, she selected the next exhibit to suit my tastes! This truly was a custom tour and I could not be happier with my day and it is all due to Olga!
Get acquainted with St. Petersburg and its sights with this day-long tour of the city. You’ll even savor a traditional Russian lunch and visit the State Hermitage Museum, too.
We were shown the stations of the underground by Igor who was very personable and who spoke excellent English. He was fun and entertaining. He told us interesting stories about the development of the underground and did not overload us with boring information. He was generous with his time and made sure we knew how to get to where we wanted to go when the tour had finished. An absolutely fabulous trip.
A unique private experience of Moscow Metro.
We are a team of art-historians, travellers, photographers and bloggers.
We will show you the best metro stations of Moscow metro and will be able to change the itinerary according to your wishes.
The tour will last for around 2 hours.
At the end we can leave at your hotel or anywhere in the city center.
See you in Moscow!:)
Hordes of noisy, selfy-taking, Chinese tourists, otherwise good
, Sep 2019
The trip was very well organised by Viatour, although it would have helped to havebeen able to download my Hermitage ticket immediately on booking. The museum is well laid out with lots of help from friendly administrators in each area, and, of course, full of wonderful works.
There was a lack of WCs. At one point, those on the ground floor were unavailable and it wasn't made clear where any more could be found (some in the basement, but maybe others?).
But my main complaint was the sheer numbers and behaviour of Chinese tourists, following their guides in impenetrable, noisy, clumps. I'm sure not all Chinese tourists are like this, and some would be horrified to read this, but many of those in the Hermitage were causing havoc.
Save time by purchasing this priority ticket to the Hermitage, allowing you to skip the lines. Once inside, you can explore at your own pace. See masters of Russian and international art at one of the largest museums in the world. There’s also the option of buying a two-day pass, which gives access to the Tsar’s Winter Palace, the Menshikov Palace, and the Museum of Imperial Porcelain Factory too.
This 3-day tour of St. Petersburg is perfect for cruise ship guests making a stop in the city because it’s visa-free and includes all transportation. See popular places, such as the Russian-Orthodox Peter and Paul Cathedral, Catherine Palace, and St. Isaac’s Cathedral. Gain early entry into The Hermitage and the Peterhof Gardens. Visit the Faberge Museum, and then head to Yusupov Palace to walk through the Rasputin exhibit. Plus, see the city sights by boat on a cruise along a river and canal.
Arctic Ocean Adventure. To the Edge of the World. Teriberka
, Nov 2019
Our trip was made successful thanks to Alexender who arranged Igor as our tour guide who drove us all the way to Teriberka. My wife, daughter and me had a wonderful and great experience throughout the journey. The views along the way were incredible. Teriberka itself was superb and impressively beautiful. We had many stopovers and great photoshoots taken by our friendly tour guide, Igor. Although there were some communication barriers between us, thanks to the translator apps that makes the communication successful. All I can say is that The journey was priceless!
We would also like to express our gratitude to the Murmansk's Tourist Information Centre in Azimut hotel who helped us to locate and contact the tour operator that day and make our journey a success.

This was a fantastic and different way to celebrate my birthday. The monastery is beautiful and truly interesting. Our guide/interpreter Lara was really professional and friendly. Each visit and explanation were amazing. The dinner was very good and healthy. I really enjoyed such a fantastic experience.
You will discover a unique 700 years old monastery in the heart of Moscow and enjoy a traditional russian dinner in the monks' refectory.

On top of the bell tower, enjoy the sunset illuminating Moscow's rooftops.

Loved the the sweeping views along the embankment overlooking the Kremlin, that sense of freedom and dignity of Red Square, and the sight-to-behold-Christ the Savior Cathedral. Anna was a wonderful guide with in depth knowledge who answered all our questions and made the day fun and interesting. We were fortunate as there wasn't a large crowd with it being off peak season. Highly recommend this tour as Anna also allowed us a few choices as to what we would like to see on top of showing us the main highlights. Definitely too much to cover on your own!
Getting a skip the line entry is highly recommended given the high number of tourists visiting the Hermitage, but getting a personal guided tour is even better. Having a guide will make tour gain deeper understanding of the museum's history & the exhibits on display. Tim was our guide this afternoon, and he made sure to arrange the walk as if he was telling a story with a smooth and natural flow. We were amazed that he managed to share all those details and talk non stop for 3 hours! We also did not get bored at all and he had our full attention throughout the tour. Olga was very well versed in The Hermitage and Winter Palace. We enjoyed our time with her and the art work. She is an expert and her English was excellent. And she was super nice! Book this tour and ask for Olga. She also recommended that we stop at Literary Cafe of Alexander Pushkin. It was delightful and delicious after a stroll thru the Hermitage. You can’t possibly see it all, but this 3 hr tour was fabulous and chocked full of history and beauty.
The Hermitage is vast, there is so much art work you could get lost for days. The interior decorations are a sight to behold. Maria our tour guide was amazing! She got us into the museum in a timely manner, had great English skills, was incredibly knowledgeable about the art and honestly we would not want to do the tour any other way.
