4 Hours well spent fun and insight into the wonderful film that most of us have seen many many times. Ivo the driver and April the guide were great. Very cheesy, but it added to the fun. One thing, that I do think is necessary to relay to April, the guide is, that she omitted to inform us that Von Trapp’s first wife was English. This was not mentioned, and I overheard another guide. An important factor I think. Any way, great afternoon was had by all. No need to do again. Laura Li
We enjoy so much this tour lead by Ms Brigitte. She was fun and funny lady. And she very informative about Sound of Music even for the bts. Highly recommended to buy their tour if you love the legendary at all times movie “The Sound Of Music”
Relived the nostalgic moments from my child hood when I watched the film number of times and sang every song ... later taught all the songs to my children! It was great to visit the places where the film was shot :)

Skip-the-Line: Eagle's Nest in Berchtesgaden Tour from Salzburg
Fantastic View and Historical Too!
, Nov 2019
Skip the line was well worth it, as we did not need transport to the pickup area and the lines were long. The commentary on the bus was entertaining and informative. The view at Eagle's Nest was wonderful. This was a highlight of our trip to Germany.
The tour is a two faced tour since is an historical tour and also a sightseeing tour. For the historical part I am an history buff and I knew most of the history related to this place, the only more I needed to have was a visit. The view from the terraces are outstanding, they say that is possible to see 200 miles from there in a clear day...the view and the nest makes this tour a nice complement to a visit in the area
This was a great and educational tour. We had great weather leaving Salzburg with the bus, which was punctual. Our tour guide "Walt" provided a very informative narrative of our trip and it was presented in a very understandable manner. He certainly made the tour very enjoyable.

Bavarian Mountains and Salt-Mines Tour from Salzburg
, Feb 2020
Leo was phenomenal! We had such a good day. He was knowledgeable about the area, best picture places, restaurants, the history, etc. He made us laugh all day, and was so kind and happy. This was one of our top favorite tours because of him--we would recommend him to anyone! I was even looking for a recipe for a dish I had while in Austria, and Leo was able to tell me specifically how to cook it. If there's one tour you do in Salzburg, it should be this one! Everything was planned perfectly, we had some time to shop in a little nearby town. The salt mines were incredible and a very cool experience. We hope we can come back someday soon and take another tour with Leo!

Ben was a great guide and told us lots about the film and the locations. However as a private tour for 3 adults it would have been nice to have been given a bottle of water and something like a souvenir brochure. The postcards given were not that special as they were stocked in all the hotels we visited. It would also have been nice to walk the grounds of the Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron and been able to take photos beside the gates etc. I am sure we could even have bought a drink in the hotel to allow for this.

Austrian Apple Strudel Cooking Class including Lunch
Sweet times in Salzburg
, Feb 2020
We had an amazing time cooking up nockerl and strudel! The recipe was very easy to follow and a lot of fun sprinkling sugar and flour together. The beautiful kitchen is cut INTO the mountain for a wholesome Salzburg experience. Do this class!
My husband and I love cooking and we signed up for this class hoping for a good recipe and fun along the way. The class did not disappoint. We loved every minute of it and our strudel came out tasting really delicious. We also learned how to make the Nockerl which we didn't realize we'd get to do so it was like a bonus recipe. We are excited to get home and practice so we can give strudels for Christmas gifts to our family.
Roll up your sleeves for an Austrian cooking class in Salzburg, and create two of the country’s beloved desserts: apple strudel and the signature soufflé of Salzburger Nockerl. Under the guidance of a chef, you’ll stretch pastry and mix ingredients as you learn about the food and chat with the rest of the group. As a bonus, a hearty bowl of goulash soup is served before you eat your creations. Numbers are limited to just five people for a small-group cooking experience.

Mozart Dinner Concert at the Baroque Hall of St Peter`s Abbey in Salzburg
Nice evening, beautiful performance
, Dec 2019
Beautiful setting, predominant opera singing with a fabulous string quintet. Dinner served between sets, probably need a few more waiters to serve the number of tables. Drinks are extra as stated. Would have enjoyed more of Mozart’s prominent pieces with the string quintet without as much opera, but overall a very nice evening.
Enjoy dinner in one of Europe’s oldest restaurant’s— St. Peter Stiftskulinarium. This picturesque setting is convenient to find, in the heart of Salzburg Old Town. The dishes are inspired by historical recipes from the 1700s, so you’ll try things that you wouldn’t usually make at home. While you’re enjoying a three-course meal, you’ll be entertained by live classical concert performances.
We went on the tour on our 2nd day in Salzburg so we already had an understanding of the history of Salzburg. The tour helped bring all this together and learn some new facts. The group was small enough that we could all hear without ear devices since none are provided on the tour. We have gone on other walking tours and always enjoy the amount of information they provide.
Two couples went on this two hour walking tour. Only ten people on our tour, so just the right size to get around the streets and still hear our guide. We saw the most important sites of this wonderful city and our guide’s anecdotes and interesting stories made such a world of difference. Did not feel hurried and Peter answered all our questions. Peter made the difference, a delightful Austrian gentleman.

After reading reviews, I was looking forward to having Micheala as a guide. Instead we had Claudia sub in for her. Claudia didn’t offer up much info, only when probed for questions. It did not seem like she had given this tour many times. Claudia was nice, but maybe not the best tour guide. There was a very small amount of food that was offered to taste. I would only recommend this tour if Micheala was the guide.
Join your private guide on a 3-hour walking tour to discover (and sample) the food that makes Salzburg such a popular destination. Original Sound of Music and Historical Walking Tour Combo
Very good tour experience
, Oct 2019
We bundled our walking tour of Salzburg and the Sound of Music bus tour. Highly recommend the walking tour to get a feel of this complex and historical city. Tour was casual and very informative so that we could later walk the city on our own to focus in the areas we had more interest. The bus tour for the Sound of Music was way to enjoy the great musical with 60 other musical fanatics! Great fun singing the tunes and reminiscing about the show! Only stop at a couple actual sites but it’s all about the experience!
This was my wife's dream tour. She has wanted to do this all of her life and she wasn't disappointed. It was awesome to see all of the locations that were in the film and we are now able to watch the movie again and say, "WE WERE RIGHT THERE!" The only disappointment was that we couldn't go into or even near some of the locations. David our guide was excellent even leading us all in singing all the songs from the movie. Very good tour, I'm glad we went.

We chose this tour because it was the only one we could book of less than 4 hours. We had a 6 pm experience and were taking the train from Munich. Easy walk to find the meeting place for this tour. Quickly traveled in a small van around the old area of Salzburg and our guide was informative and entertaining, though most of the information was related to the movie version of Sound of Music. We learned of Salzburg’s history as an independent nation, and church/state.
We chose the option of cake and coffee and the setting was spectacular. The coffee and strudel were very good.
My rating is based not on lack of quality but on duration. We left to tour at 3:05 and were dropped for coffee at 3:45.

Great experience. Tour guide was amazing. We saw some really beautiful items for both the sound of music and Hallstatt. Luke was informative, funny and relatable. We also made an effort to chat and bond with the others on our tour. When you go to Hallstatt, rent a boat for 30 minutes and go on the lake - it is super easy and you shouldn't be intimidated.
Let us take you out for an unforgettable day.
Following the Von Trapp story, we want to visit several movie locations of the "Sound of Music". The 16-going-on17-gazebo and of course the wedding church.
