San Juanillo beach snorkel marine wildlife tour at Nosara in Guanacaste
Below average experience

Having been in Costa Rica for 8 days, and used Aviator a couple times (one of them for this activity) but also having engaged with local agencies/suppliers on the spot, I confirm this activity is overpriced and not good value for money.
Facts: you are picked-up from your hotel; you are in a car for about 30 minutes before you get to the beach. The beach is really nice, that is for sure, really nice. You snorkel from the beach (no boat involved) for about 40 minutes. Back in the beach you are given some fruit and water and then driven back to the hotel. That’s it. You can take a taxi and do the same for a 10th of the price I paid through the platform.
The quality of snorkelling in our case was also bad, mainly because in the morning visibility isn’t great. We didn’t see a thing.....
More facts, to make the point even stronger: I have done exactly the same activity, north of Nosara, a couple days later, incl a boat and for almost half the price. The place was better than San Juanillo.
I say this with the utmost respect but this activity as it stands is not worth the money they charge through the platform.
Costa Rica is home to an incredible amount of biodiversity, both on land and beneath the waters. Experience the underwater world during this snorkeling tour of San Juanillo, an idyllic white sand beach in Guanacaste Province. Calm clear waters in a cove protected by a coral reef guarantee a great day of marine exploration.

Loved this! Our guide was really informative and helpful. We rode through the river and jungle, down to the beach and even had a chance to gallop along the beach. Stopped for fresh cold coconut water on the way which was a nice treat. Overall really good horses though they each had their own personality as horses do. Suitable for novice as well as more experienced riders, they will select a horse that suits you. Saw a whole tree full of Howler Monkeys as well as a crocodile in the river, and some interesting birds. Did not need bug spray because in the dry season there are very few bugs around.
Enjoy this tour between jungle, river, and beach to the rhythm of the horses’ hooves, calm and docile. The adventure starts as soon as the gate opens: you will cross the Buenavista river followed by the observation of animals and flora in the Guanacaste forest (typical from the region).
At the end of the track, the Buenavista Beach: deserted and preserved from any infrastructures. This long beach of grey sand is typically Costa Rican. Your horse will paddle in the waves of the Pacific Ocean coastline for a magic experience.
We will found our way back through the field occupied by wild cows and horses. The tour last for about 2 hours and a half.
We made only small group for more conviviality but if you are group of 15 you are welcome too !
