TONINÁ ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREA - SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS CHIAPAS DEPARTURE
Departures at 8:00 am at the reception of the hotel, Ocosingo, Chiapas where we will visit the Z.A TONINÁ which means “Big Stone Houses”, the height of this Mayan archeological zone dates from the end of the 6th century and the beginning of the X A.D. in such a way that around the year 900 it became the largest acropolis of Neolithic Mexico. The main one in the highest point of the whole, the highest in Mesoamerica. Among the most important sculptures found in Toniná are those of its last ruler: Tzots Choj and, recently, having 3 hours to visit, to fully enjoy the tour. To end the trip we move to the city of San Cristobal and with the option of ending in Ocosingo, Chiapas.

This year the Parachicos parade and dances have been CANCELED due to the pandemic, but the town will celebrate during January with family and friends.
