Had a great tour of San Diego on the Old Town trolley. Convenient pick up location at Seaport village. Got to see all the sights of San Diego - even crossing the Coronado bridge for an almost-bird like view. Our driver Philip (1 L - still Phil!)was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We had a nice long stop in the Old Town which was full of restaurants and shops with lots to do. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone

This is a great way to see a lot in a short time (2 hours on the trolley). More importantly, your guide gives you much interesting information that you just would not know otherwise. We have taken this tour in other cities like Washington D. C. There is a free parking lot at the hub in Old Town San Diego, which had space in the morning (9:30). We took the tour in the morning, got off at Seaport Village and the Coronado Hotel to look around. At the end of our tour, we were at Old Town, so we looked around a few hours and had lunch which included the famous fish tacos.

Tour interesting but could do with some stops to get out and take photos, if not doing cruise then to long at seaport village. Tijuana was enough time to have a look around and were shown other areas apart from main tourist area. Tourist area clean and safe, not like many years ago Overall worth the time and cost

Tour was very educational and all the drivers were courteous . The hop on and hop off is great but avoid the seaport village. Everything is expensive ***** a burger will cost you around 8 to 9 dollars insane Well that's California. San Diego is the capital for all kind of Conferences. Without the numerous people from conferences spending money the city will go bankrupt.Besides all that the weather is great

Great tour to get started on your trip to San Diego. The only thing we didn't like was the seating in the back 3 rows, where the windows were open and the wind coming through made the trip not enjoyable. Couldn't adjust the windows, but understand that it probably would have been too warm not to have some windows open. Maybe open only one side at back and then open others on the other side in front. I don't know if that would cut down on the wind coming through so fast. Great service and tour guides, very accommodating. We were on the tour and were waiting for the trolley at Balboa Park and they had to send in a relief bus since the first was full. We happened to mention to the driver that we were on our way back to the hotel (Bayfront Hilton), picking up our jackets and then on to Seaport Village for the SEAL Tour that we had already paid for. The driver, Ken, checked with the office to see if once he dropped off the other 4 riders, if he could drop us off at the hotel and then Seaport Village. He found out that due to a Padre's game that after noon and a big University graduation ceremony at the conference center next to our hotel, traffic was at a stand still. He said he could get us to the hotel in a round about way, but wouldn't be able to take us to Seaport Village. He did get us to the hotel and we saw some of the other town that we would have missed otherwise. My husband had sprained his ankle getting off the first trolley a couple of days before getting off a trolley and he couldn't walk long distances. We were lucky to find a pedicab right outside of the hotel and he got us to the SEAL Tour on time. Thanks Ken for being so nice. The other drivers, Capt Bob, Vidal and a couple that we can't remember their names were great!

I was satisfied with the tour stop selections and our guide Juan was very knowledgeable on the sights. But I was VERY disappointed there is no hotel pick up in Mission Bay area, costing us 40, ONE WAY, to the Downtown Depot. When we arrived, there was no one at the office until after the scheduled departure time, so we were never sure if we were in the correct spot for pick up. Once we were tour bound, the time at some of the stops was a little short. We could have had more time in Old Town in order to see everything. We opted to add the Seaport Village option to our tour, and the additional cost 45, was simply to drive us 5 blocks and drop us off.

I am an avid traveler and I did my research really well before I booked this trip. What I did not know/find out until later in the day was that you have to get off the bus and stand in line with other travelers to pass through immigration on the US-Mexico border, by foot, and then get on the bus on the other side. The time you wait varies by the day although it took us about 2 hours to go through the whole process. Sometimes it could take up to 8 hours too. If I had known, I would have preferred to take my car and just drive through the border and it would have been a lot quicker. Only got to spend about 2 hours in Tijuana which wasn't enough.

Also, the San Diego tour is more of a drive-by rather than stop, take a look and take some pictures. If you want an extensive San Diego tour, then this is not for you.

The harbor cruise was boring, for me. I would have rather skipped that and just spent some extra time at Seaport Village instead.
