This was a great experience. The tour guide was very well informed about the history of San Diego, Knowledge of the type of military aircraft that continuously flew overhead and the ships that we passed. We also saw sea life which was an added bonus. The weather was a bit brisk but you could go inside to warm up but still see and hear everything. Loved it.

This was the most wonderful whale watching experience ever. The boat was gorgeous, the crew absolutely spectacular and the wells were stunning… Just 20 yards off the side of our boat. Everything was simply perfect.
Crew and especially the tour guide were terrific, professional, helpful, and very entertaining. It's a beautiful ship and we had a truly wonderful time. Best cruise on the high seas, with good views of whales, dolphins, and sea lions.

When we arrived car parking was very easy. We went straight in and given information as to what our ticket enabled us to see. We were able to use the cable car and buses around the zoo which was great as it is big. All very good and excellent information given by the staff.

The tour was guided by a staff member from the Birch Aquarium. He was good at spotting whales and helping us see them. He also pointed out other marine life. I would have liked more information about whales and their habits. We had a memorable encounter with dolphins while returning to the harbor. Four of them swam beside our boat playing with the wake for approximately 10 minutes. The water was clear and it was easy to watch them swimming under the water and coming up for air. The day was partly cloudy, partly sunny.

It was a nice tour. Juan, the driver was a very good guide. I was a little bit disappointed by Tijuana, not really a must see. The stops on the beach and the lunch location were great. The lobster was amazing.

I bought the tickets online, and it was easy. I couldn't communicate by phone to confirm my reservation. I got there 30 minutes before, and I did not have any problem with my booking. The ferry is well equipped: tables, chairs, restrooms, a small bar that sells snacks, beverages (alcohol), Dramamine. You can pay with cards and cash.
You can do the tour indoors and watch through the windows or being on the deck and enjoy the sun and the heavy and cool wind because they have chairs and tables there too.
I highly recommended taking one Dramamine before departs because the ferry moves a lot during the three hours. I took one, and I did not feel any sickness during the trip. Indeed, it is hard to keep the balance for walking around. Thus, if you travel with kids, please keep your eyes on them.
Three hours tour might not be enough if there are few whales around. However, it is also a long time because besides contemplating the sea, you don't have anything else to do there.
The person in charge gave a lot of information about whales, the migration process, and their habits. Thus, besides to watch them, you will also learn about them.
It was a nice experience to watch whales in their natural habit.

San Diego Old Town Food Tour
, Jan 2020
Our original food tour of The Gas Lamp District was cancelled so we were re-booked on the Old Town Food Tour, which we really enjoyed. Angela is a wonderful tour guide. We enjoyed her enthusiasm and knowledge of the area.
The food tastings were pretty good and we enjoyed the variety of restaurants we visited. My only disappointment was for the dessert. Our dessert was rootbeer floats. The ice cream was so frozen that it was hard to get to it with the plastic spoons. And, I would have preferred a pastry, cake or perhaps a churro instead of ice cream.
Dana was very knowledgeable about the seedy history of San Diego. She gets 5 stars hands down. But the pizza place (Ciro’s) that was substituted for another spot, was crappy. They were rude, had mediocre pizza, but served an excellent local brew. But back to our guide...her personality was delightful and her patience was appreciated. And the coup de grace was Dana’s magic tricks. Awesome bonus!!!

IF YOU HAVE AN iPHONE - YOUR MAP WILL LEAD YOU TO THE WRONG LOCATION!!! It will actually take you in the opposite direction you are supposed to go. And when I called their help number, no one answered. Thankfully we made it right on time, and the tour guide made an exception for us. The meeting place is in Seaport Village. Head toward Agora Galleries, Harbour House, Cheesecake Factory, and Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel.

We were picked up in plenty of time at our Hotel. Our driver was Juan, nice fella and well educated with information along the drive into Mexico. Stopped at a shop for some Tequila tasting and also at a restaurant for some Beef Taco's, which were delicious. Had around 2 hours time to do some shopping around Tijuana. All round it was excellent!
I took the trip on Saturday, Marco the tour guide was the best I really enjoyed the cultural information. The shopping was also nice. I had relatives from out of town and we had a great time. I Would recommend this trip.
