Ponce is Puerto Rico’s second city and a complete change of pace from the capital San Juan. Ponce's low key charm speaks louder to architecture buffs than it does to party animals. Starting at the central Plaza Las Delicicas you’ll find two ...

A terrific tour! We learned more about coffee than we ever thought we might and had the chance to sample some of the magnificent coffee grown at the plantation. Our guide Felix was outstanding! From the time he picked us up at our hotel in the morning to the time he returned us to the hotsl in the afternoon, he was the picture of professionalism. We loved hearing about his family and the stories he told as we travelled to Ponce. Seeing Ponce gave us a very different perspective on Puerto Rico than what we experienced in San Juan. Walking around the town center was delightful. When we said our goodbyes to Felix in the evening, it was almost like we were leaving a member of our family. Muchas gracias, Felix!

We enjoyed the tour of the Serrales castle and the Indigenous Cultural Center. Our guide, however, did not seem very knowledgeable about Ponce and even said he did the tour only a couple times a year. He left us at the market for lunch with no recommendations for a restaurant. We spent so much time looking for somewhere to eat, we saw little of the city.

We spent too much time in the museum we could have spent time at the Firefighter's park, and a little more local time. The castle was nice.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions. The group was small and intimate. My only complaint was we were not told that entrance fees into the museum and mansion were separate. This should have been stated beforehand. Also, I would have liked to have seen more of the city.

The coffee plantation was really really good! however that was also the only part where the guide from the tour company didn't do anything. At the plantation it was the owner and his son who did the guiding.

In Ponce and on the road we had a guide that did not seem to know all that much, since we knew almost as much about the Island after having been there for about 4 days... He could hardly tell us anything so the stuff we wanted to know anything about we looked up on google or TripAdvisor.

In shot we recommend you rent your own car and go to Hacienda Pomarrosa The coffe plantaion just call in advance, they will tell you how to get there easily and if you have time stay a night! Do not cheat yourself of visiting this place!!
Ponce could have been nice and I'm sure it would have been a better or at least just as good an experience if we had done it by our self.
