El Yunque Rainforest Off the Beaten Path and Bio Bay Kayaking Combo Tour
EL YUNQUE IS A MUST
, Feb 2020
El Yunque: Andres was an amazing tour guide! Very informative, friendly, funny & supportive. Took tons of awesome pictures & Airdropped/What's App to everyone. Mitchell was great, too-- super helpful on the hike (& quite the daredevil with the cliff jumps!). Fresh fruit was a nice touch!
Was nice to have lunch & downtime at Luquillo Beach. Good tips on how to use our hour & a half.
Bio Bay: Have to say I was not very impressed, but that's not Bespoke's fault! There was not much bioluminescence. Anyway- this part of the tour is basically just a transfer to another company
Van was nice. Good communication. Pick up/drop off on time.
Jacob and Felix were both wonderful tour guides. The rainforest tour was superb but not for those who aren’t used to at least moderate difficult hiking (we encountered muddy, slippery terrain, and climbed over rocks and tree roots to the top of El Yunque) so I’d suggest to wear hiking shoes! Jacob was very accommodating and I learned a lot about the vegetation and history of the rain forest. The bio bay tour although well organized was less impressive as the plankton were only minimally bioluminescent and could only be seen with a black tarp covering us. Overall, great experience though!
Spend an adventurous day exploring two of Puerto’s most incredible natural wonders on this full-day excursion to hike in the El Yunque Rainforest and kayak at the island’s famed Bioluminescent Bay. Start your morning with a hike in the only tropical rain forest in the United States National Forest system, enjoying incredible mountain views and an optional waterfall swim to cool off. Then continue with a nighttime kayaking trip to the magical Bioluminescent Bay, which features a unique variety of plankton that glow when the water is touched or moved. Your Puerto Rico outdoor adventure also includes round-trip hotel transport, professional guide, and national park fees.
Bioluminescent Bay Glass Bottom Kayak Tour from San Juan
Less than amazing
, Jan 2020
The best part of the excursion was kayaking in the dark (which is not saying much) The tour was disorganized and they don’t ensure everyone is accounted for. Our group was confused where to go and the kayak trip there and back was chaos. It was 90 minutes with about 20 min at the spot where they plankton light up. Total duration from door to door is approx 5.5 hours. Unless you really love plankton then I would suggest skipping this tour and using your time to do something else.
I had originally booked the combo tour of hiking in Yunque and then the kayak, but the hike was cancelled due to weather conditions. I was rebooked for the kayak tour the morning of. The communication from the team was great and the rescheduling was great. I was picked up on time and we traveled about an hour by bus to the spot. The guides were great to accommodate and get every situated.
I was a solo traveler and was paired up with a guide for the glass bottom boat. I wasn’t given a paddle, which at first was a bit disappointing, but ended up being great in the end. Not having to paddle allowed me to really experience the bioluminescent glow.
Manage your expectations - pictures online are prominent in colors and light due to the cameras. So if you go expecting that, you may be disappointed. The glass bottom looked like a million shooting stars. Once in the bay, they covered our kayaks with tarps to show the effects in true darkness. This was great and allowed the phenomenon to really shine (literally).
The last thing I would say is to understand your cost. You’re getting picked up from your hotel, on a bus for two hours round trip, and on the water for almost 2 hours in a private park. The price is spot on for what you get.
I wish the hike would have happened, but was thankful I got to experience this at a minimum. Highly recommend if you’re going to see it once in your life.
Join a nighttime adventure into the waters of Laguna Grande as you visit the area’s amazing bioluminescent bay during this half-day excursion. Hop aboard a clear-bottomed kayak as you paddle through the dense mangrove forests, heading to the area where the microscopic plankton puts on its surreal aquatic light show when you glide through the water. Your professional guide also tells you more about this fragile ecosystem and how visitors can help protect it.
Full-Day Culebra and Flamenco Beach Snorkeling from San Juan
Pros & Cons
, Jan 2020
There were a few pros & cons of the trip. Pros, friendly staff, very helpful, the beaches are of course beautiful, and I really enjoyed snorkeling, the reefs and seaweed were mostly brown but, there were plenty of colorful little fish to see and we even saw two stingrays! the Cons, unfortunately, were enough that I wouldn't book this again. My boyfriend and I chose the option of pickup, nice driver, nice private vehicle but WAY WAY to early. we were picked up at 0730, and the boat isn't even scheduled to leave till 0930. It's only an hour drive so sitting there waiting for the boat to take off was frustrating to say the least. The driver was nice and brought us to a subway for the bathroom and some breakfast to kill time but I wouldve rather slept in. The boat finally took off at 0940, we got to the snorkeling spot about 1045, they did some safety lesson and set up lunch and the open bar. we stayed there till 1200 and were at flamenco beach by 1215. keep in mind that the boat has to dock decently far from the beach about 50ft. So if you want to bring personal items, like your phone to take pictures, bring a good dry bag. Or be willing to buy an overpriced one from the boat. My boyfriend and I knew in advance because we read the majority of views, but I think it's kind of crappy that the company doesn't tell you that themselves. They only gave us till 1400 at the beach and since you have to swim there and back, & go over another safety briefing it felt like we had absolutely no time left on the beach. we were back at the dock by 1530 and home an hour later. If we had realized how much waiting the day would be, and how little beach time we would get we would've just taken the ferry in and spent our money more wisely. Also, we should've anticipated this but it definitely had a party vibe, good for a big group of friends. For a couple that had to wake up at 0630 and was exhausted and irritated about all the hours spent waiting, we weren't happy.
The tour was underwhelming - especially the snorkeling. Lunch was served super early (around 10:45 am) during the snorkeling portion, so depending on how long you took to eat, you really only had about 30-40 mins of snorkeling. However, you didn’t even need that much time because there wasn’t much to see.
Once we arrived at Flamenco Beach, the boat could not get close and you had to swim a pretty decent distance to the beach (which meant, unless you had a dry bag, you couldn’t bring anything on the beach - no towel, no phone, etc.). REALLY wish that had been made clear beforehand. That would be a huge issue for someone not comfortable with swimming in the open ocean. We had about an hour on Flamenco Beach.
Do Culebra on your own time for a better experience - we spent significantly more time commuting to and from than we did actually enjoying the beach.
If you are hesitant about the spending the money don't be! This was our most favorite tour from the trip. It is worth the money and you will not be disappointed. Our driver Francisco was amazing and Bespoke Management was the best. I would book more tours directly with them. The boat ride was a little long on the way back but we got to snorkel near the coral at one stop and then the next was at Flamenco Beach. Perfect day! We would do this tour again for sure.
Combine visits to Flamenco and Culebra beaches, two of the San Juan area's best, on this guided tour via speedboat. Kayak through the waters of Laguna Grande, a stunning bioluminescent lagoon, during this half-day tour from San Juan. Paddle through stands of mangrove trees and watch small fish dart through the water underneath your boat like shooting stars. Stop for a break with snacks and refreshments before heading back to your starting point. Use of all kayaking equipment and round-trip hotel transfers are included.
We had the time of our lives!! The view of the ocean and Puerto Rico was spectacular and this was worth every penny. We will remember this forever! We are a family of five and this was a great bonding experience. Every one was lovely!! Ivan and Claudia were magnificent!
It was a great experience the sailors were pleasant and awesome... my daughter had so much fun with the sailor helping her around. Thanks a lot for making our experience a remarkable one.... hope to come back soon... happy new year in advance. Chao!!!
Go sailing and watch the sunset on a cruise from San Juan. Get great photo ops of Puerto Rico’s coastline and enjoy a comfortable sail on the Caribbean Sea. Your captain shares commentary about the region and provides complimentary drinks for your group of no more than six people.
Tour guide at the distillery was very knowledgeable and it was nice to start the day with a couple of drinks at the pavilion after the tour. Old Town tour was kind of a blur, a lot of information. I would like such a tour to have more of a walking component. It was sitting in the van most of the time.
Absorb some Puerto Rican culture (and some of the island’s legendary rum) during this half-day tour of Old San Juan and the Bacardi Distillery. Our tour was fabulous. The driver Angel was an excellent tour guide very polite, knowledgeable and professional. He arrived on time and stopped for my numerous picture opportunities. I highly recommend this tour and guide to everyone visiting Puerto Rico.
Actually 5 STARS is NOT enough!!! 10 STARS for this tour!!! Make sure you book this tour with this company!!! Angel and Annie are the BEST tour guides for Puerto Rico!! They know this island and show you the heart of the island people!! The tour was great, informative and fun!!!! Above everything else they are genuine and trustworthy!!!!!!!! I will use them again for my next vacation to Puerto Rico!!!!
We took this tour during a stop on a recent cruise, and came away so impressed and grateful for the experience. Angel is a warm, enthusiastic young man with a sincere passion the sharing the sites and history, not only of San Juan, but of Puerto Rico. He and Annie (his wife) guided us through a motorized tour lasting several hours, stopping at various sites along the way. I thought that they made a real effort to customize the tour according to our interests. If you travel to San Juan, this tour is a must!

Full-Day Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo Beach Adventure in San Juan
A trip worth taking!
, Feb 2020
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time on the tour. We Booked everything the day before and still were able to be accomodated. The weather was beautiful on the day of the trip so that was perfect, and the rain forest and beach were beautiful. Our host was Noel who was excellent. He took us to local places to get food and snacks. He made us feel comfortable, and we even gotto meet his family.
We enjoyed the history of the island and the rainforest he provided. He had a good sense of humor and he even jumped in the river to make some of the people on the tour feel comfortable when they were nervous. Noel's wife also took great photos for the group and sent them to us right away.
Only a few things we would say could be improved. Which are spending more time in the rain forest and the beach. Also adding a PA system in the Van's for better audio.
Overall the experience was amazing!
My husband and I booked very last minute for this full-day tour. It was late in the evening (the night before) but I called and someone answered! She was very friendly, answered all my questions and booked the tour. The next day I had a call from our wonderful tour-guide, Rupert. We arranged to meet and he was there as planned. He was just great, telling us all about Puerto Rico along the ride to El Yunque. He was friendly, warm and was a treasure trove of information. If you go, ask him to talk about the movies!! The tour of the rainforest was great and we ended the day with a visit to a lovely beach. Then he drove the ten of us back to San Juan. As if that wasn't enough - my husband left his phone in the van and Rupert came back to drop it off. He was wonderful. Great experience!

Finish the day with time to sunbathe and swim along one of the island’s more scenic stretches of sand.
Toro Verde 8 zipline plus the Beast FREE TRANSPORTATION & LUNCH
, Feb 2020
What an amazing experience! The first 8 zip lines were a good warm up. But since you’re with a group there is a lot of waiting around, which was a little disappointing. We were told that we would have enough time to do The Beast and The Monster, but because of the waiting around on the 8 zip lines we did t have time for both. We chose to do The Monster, which is the highest and longest. Highly recommend it! If you’re scared of heights you may not enjoy it.
The drive up from San Juan includes a VERY winding road up the mountain. Keep in mind if you get car sick easily.
We are definitely going back to the park in a few months.
This was the best experience ever. If you do one thing in Puerto Rico, this should be it! Our driver, Jerry, was very interesting and knowledgeable. He made the drive fly by and was very entertaining. The ziplines were amazing and the views were incredible!
Very nice service. Starting from the time they pick us up, until the time they drop us off.
They will keep you informed on any pick up delays. Our driver was very friendly, communicative and gave us a good and very well explained historic information from the Island and from the Site.
The zipline experience was awesome. We did All of them. Very well organized team they have.
The only thing We would complain is that when we bought the Monster tickets, the price included The Monster pictures which is not included anymore (according with site reception) .
Overall Excellent. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Francisco was fantastic. Very informative tour. He picked us up at the cruise port and we spent 3 or 3 1/2 hours touring the city. We were all very tired from traveling but he kept us entertained! I would highly recommend this tour. I wish we had another couple of days to explore all the wonderful areas he showed us.
We booked a private tour with viator.. We got Tony for our Driving tour guide.. He was excellent with the information he shared with us & places he showed us.. You can tell he is very proud of his history on San Juan Puerto Rico.. Traffic was really bad at times so we didn’t get to see but so much & it was raining so getting out was not always an option at times.. but overall it was a great tour & Tony was an awesome guide & very informative of the islands history..

Had a great time zip-lining and the staff at each zip-line were helpful and great. The guide was well informed about the area. The only thing I would change is the meal that was provided with the tour. I would have personally preferred more local food which was available then the regular basic ham/turkey and cheese sandwiches that were given. Or at least a choice......
