After an early morning departure on the National Route 40, we will be traveling through 115 km of exuberant forest, rivers of transparent water and lakes Machónico, Falkner, Villarino, Escondido, Correntoso, Espejo and Nahuel Huapi.Arriving at noon at Villa la Angostura, we will visit this beautiful city, its ports, the El Messidor Residence with its gardens. Later we will have free time to have lunch at the downtown area. In the afternoon we will go to Puerto Manzano to explore its majestic architecture that highlights the bay. The walk through Villa la Angostura is completed by residential neighborhoods on the shores of Lakes Correntoso and Nahuel Huapi,
Before reaching the lake, we will be visiting Junín de los Andes, its center with the church and the Mapuche cultural center, taking a first contact with their cultural heritage.Then we will continue the trip to Lake Huechulafquen, entering the Lanin National Park and going from end to end of the largest lake in the park.At the end of the lake, we will find a placid spot, Puerto Canoa, where we will have the possibility of doing an optional catamaran ride that takes us to navigate part of Huechulafquen and Lake Epulafquen to the 6 km long lava scoria, of the Achen Niyeu volcano, having a duration of 1h 45 m contemplating the imposing view of the Lanin Volcano, of almost 3800 mts. of height, and its summit always snowed. We will also visit Lake Paimún, with green waters suitable for swimming, since they are not so cold. Then we will return to San Martin observing the Mapuche Communities, being able to know their homes and their lands.
