If you want to learn about Chilean wines and enjoy wines, this is the tour for you. You visit four wineries and taste ten different wines. While lunch is not included in the price of the tour, you can have a fantastic meal at the Cases del Bosque winery.
This ended up being a private tour, which was quite fun. My coworker and I are both wine connoisseurs so we were able to experience the wineries at our own pace.
Juan, our driver, was knowledgeable about the area and gave us a great history of Santiago, Chile, and the Casablanca Valley during our drive. Very friendly!
Christian is a great guide with immense knowledge on Chile. He was extremely helpful and provided useful tips for us. We really enjoying our tour with his and would defenitelly do another tour with him.
Pleasure your palate with the robust flavors of Chilean wines on a full-day wine-tasting tour of the Casablanca Valley from Santiago. Famed for its agricultural perfection, the splendid scenery and smooth wines of the Casablanca Valley are sure to impress during visits to local vineyards. Experience a guided tasting session of organic wines; sample award-winning wines at a renowned vineyard; and absorb panoramic views of Casablanca Valley. Hotel pickup and drop-off from your Santiago hotel is included.
I had a great time on this tour. My tour guide was Christian and my driver was Patricio. The transportation was clean and functional. Patricio is a safe driver. Christian has an excellent command of English and is a wealth of knowledge about the wine industry in Chile.
We started the day with a light breakfast at a local artists house, this was followed by visiting several wineries where we talked about the history of Chilean wine and experienced different varietals. Lunch was at a traditional Chilean farmhouse with locally sourced foods and it was amazing. We completed our afternoon with one additional visit to another winery. The ride back to Santiago was quick and uneventful at the end of a full day.
If you take this tour try to make sure Christian is your guide. I’m not sure if the operator uses other guys, but I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him, his command of English and his encyclopedic knowledge of all things wine related and historical to the region added that much more character and richness to the tour. You won’t regret it.
One thing to note, this is not like wine tasting in the United States. They don’t set up a glass in front of you and then pour through seven or eight different bottles of wine allowing you to taste each one. In this case you will be sharing one or two bottles of wine from the winery as you experience the winery and learn about its history. You are tasting wine from the winery but again you are focusing on the one or two bottles the tour provides and not a full flight tasting as is typical in the states. But I didn’t mind it one bit. You get to try plenty of amazing wine.
Really great experience with a local flavor. Christian was very knowledgeable of both Chile and the area and an expert on the wines in the region. He was an awesome guide and spoke English very well. A unique winery tour with local home visits for breakfast and lunch. Wineries were superb. Our bus really bonded and we had great fun all day,

Full-Day Wine Tour from Santiago with Sommelier Guide
From $170.00 (Price varies by group size )
, Jan 2020
This was the best wine tour I have ever experienced. Mick, our sommelier, guided us through the history of Chilean winemaking, vinification, tasting and food pairing while visiting several vineyards. Clemente, our tour guide, explained the concept and practice of biodynamics as it pertains to sustainable wine production during the visit to his family vineyard. It was the first time our tour guide and sommelier worked together on this particular tour. I found the experience very informative and enlightening. The variety and selection of wines was excellent. I would very highly recommend this tour.
Mick conducted a fantastic wine tour, he was warm, funny and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed how well he knew the individual wineries and what made each of them worth visiting. We were guided through the recommended tastings by Mick who helped to expand our wine
knowledge in a genuine and fun way. I highly recommend this tour and should we return we would look him up to continue our wine journey in the areas surrounding Santiago.
Mick conducted a great tour of a variety of Maipo wineries. His expertise and professionalism with all in our group made for a very memorable day. Tasty Chilean wines, ambiance in the vineyards, tours of the cellars and a fantastic al fresco lunch stop (at a winery, of course) with killer views.
Don’t hesitate: Take Mick’s tour!

Wine Tasting Tour from Santiago: Casablanca Valley and Four Vineyards
Great, intimate tour with knowledgeable host/driver
, Feb 2020
I really enjoyed the tour! I only had three days in Santiago, but going to Casablanca for a day tour is a must-do. Gabriel was great! His English is flawless and he's very knowledgeable and informed about more than just wine. I would definitely recommend the tour. One side note, there is only one tasting included, even though my listing said there would be two. Apparently, the tour group has tried to get Viator to change that description, with no luck.
I took this tour to simply get away from Santiago since my options in the city were limited due to the protests. What a treat! The tour was much more than i excpected. The tour guide, Gabriel, picked me up from my airbnb at exactly the time he said he would. He had selected the right wineries for this tour. Each one offered something unique from the other. That made the tour so much more exciting and enjoyable. Gabriel, with a perfect English, was very knowledgeable about the area and the wineries and made the whole tour a very enjoyable experience for all in the group. I would totally recommend it to everyone.

Maipo Valley Wine Tour Including 3 Vineyards and Country Town of Isla de Maipo
Great way to taste and learn about the fine wines of Chile
, Jan 2020
The trip to Maipo Valley did not go ahead due to low numbers but I got put on equivalent value trip to Casablanca Valley instead, where we visited 4 wineries and tastings in three of them included. All in all a great day trip to taste and learn about the wines of Chile. Our designated driver and guide was personable and knowledgeable about the region. It's on the expensive since lunch is not included but Santiago and Chile in general is more expensive than other South American countries, and I feel premium services were provided. Wine lovers will definitely enjoy this trip.
We really enjoyed our wine tour. The guides were very knowledgeable and on time! The trip was well organized and we were able to get to all three wineries. The tour brought us to 3 very different wineries which showed us the great contrast in the region's wine production methodology. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to get out of Santiago for a day of their trip!

Our driver Rodriguez (Rod) was fantastic. Very polite, efficient and knowledgeable. He gave a great background of Santiago as we travelled to Concha y Toro.
The guide at Concha y Toro was so enthusiastic and showed a great knowledge of different wines and history of the winery and the family who established it.
Definitely worth a visit.
I booked this tour on a whim while I was in Santiago. My original trip was planned for the morning but got pushed back to the afternoon due to there not being enough demand (prob because of the protests). The driver, Claudio, was professional, informative, and friendly. The tour ended up being me and three other people, which was cool! Felt like we were getting our own private tour! Overall, it was a very smooth experience. Next time, I'd like to do a tour in the Casablanca Wine Valley.

After a brief panoramic tour of Santiago by coach, follow your guide around the rooms, gardens, vineyards and warehouses that comprise Concho y Toro vineyard. First we started to do the city tour and made several stops including a little bit of a walking tour which was great as we could see in details various sites. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had and even more. After we had lunch in a local restaurant which was great. Then on to the winery and wine tasting. It gave us a very good overview of the largest winery in Chile. We tasted three different kind of wines included in price of excursion. Overall a very pleasant day

Trip was wonderful. The winery was very nice great tour, the guide Wes excellent, our only problem was our driver. We were told we would have a English speaking driver and we had a driver who only spoke very little English but a very nice and good driver. Lucky for us we had a other passenger who spoke English and Spanish so it was ok

Excellent tour north of Santiago
, Feb 2020
Excellent overview of countryside near Santiago. Lots to see in Valle de Aconcagua and the drive to Portillo and Laguna Del Inca was outstanding! Alexis, our guide, was informative and funny. Hector, the driver, did great on the 31 switchbacks up and down the mountain. Worth doing.
Great combination of wineries, history and stunning scenery
, Jan 2020
The tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about wine, and the drive up into the Andes was stunning. I took one point off for the minivan which although modern and air-conditioned was very claustrophobic.

A great authentic local experience - totally relaxed and enjoyable day out
, Jan 2020
If you want to have a bit of exercise, enjoy the countryside and local life, this is the trip for you. We were picked up in town by Cristian and our lady driver, whose name unfortunately I don’t remember. She was an excellent driver and Cristian has the best command of English we have had of any guide ever, anywhere. We picked up our bikes from Felipe the operator’s home then cycled to a local home for breakfast (which had not been advertised in the deal, although “snacks” were which we didn’t get). We sat outside in a delightful fruit tree-filled garden, complete with wandering poultry and a couple of pet dogs, and had an excellent home made and delicious breakfast. We then cycled through to a vineyard, but instead of going into the winery for a formal tasting as we had expected we instead sat in the vineyard itself with a bottle of the vineyard’s wine. As we’d stopped at a local fruit stall enroute we had fruit to eat as well. It was great, just chatting and relaxing. Cristian is also a wine expert so can tell you all you want to know about wine and grapes, but we were happy learning more about Chilean life from Cristian. Afterwards we cycled and then walked through a beautiful old heritage listed town, enjoying seeing locals go about their day. Not a tacky tourist shop in sight! We followed up with a most delicious 3 course lunch at the same home we’d had breakfast at, starting with Pisco Sours and enjoying homemade peach juice as well as wine with our meal. The slow cooked meat was AMAZING. We really enjoyed the relaxed pace and learning of how everyday Chileans feel about things. We then were driven (Cristian deciding it was too hot) to a small winery run by a young man whose parents and grandparents had occupied the same land. We were exceptionally lucky because he had some winemaker friends there too, and we were treated to each of them telling us about the wines they were developing. After tastings, we were then invited to sit with them under a shady tree and enjoy some more wine. This was a fabulous day where we felt like we were simply enjoying a day out with friends, it has been a highlight of our travels. I might just add, as a possible negative, it’s not a cheap trip, but we have found all our tours in Santiago to be expensive, especially when you compare to what you can buy locally in shops and restaurants. BUT - at least in this case Felipe has set up his trips so that the money is spread to small local enterprises, which is good.
This was an unbelievably good trip! Our tour guide Felipe really went above and beyond - he made us feel completely welcome in his community. The wineries we visited were beautiful, the bike ride tour was charming, but we met incredibly gracious and kind people who made us feel quite at home.

This is great if you want to visit many vineyards in a day and can not/it is not efficient to organise it yourselves. The vineyards was great and offered good tours and good tastings.
