Historic Hop-On and Hop-Off Trolley Tour of Savannah
wonderful way to see and learn about Savannah!
, Nov 2019
We booked the on and off tour with Old Savannah Tours and it was great. It is nice to have the option to hop on and off if you want to spend time at some of the spectacular house museums. You can ride all day this way, and do as much walking as you want. The folks who drive the trolleys are very knowledgeable and learn something a little different from each one. A high point are the actors who hop onto the bus in character and tell you a little about the city!
Tammy with a T is amazing! It was a great, informative, and funny tour of Savannah! There were additional actors across the city providing insights to famous people who called Savannah home (Robert Louis Stevenson, Mercer). If we did another Trolley tour in Savannah, it would have to be with Tammy with a T: she is awesome, quirky, funny, and sweet. It almost hurt to leave the tour to grab some lunch.
Hop on and hop off this trolley tour at more than 15 stops to explore Savannah's most important attractions. Get a comprehensive tour while listening to engaging narration about Savannah's history, culture, and people.
Drivers were great. Very informative and answered questions from "tourist" about the area. Tour covered the complete old town area of Savannah. End of day we asked driver about other areas to visit and given several options. His suggestion for "The Pirates House" was great fpr dinner.
If traveling with large group be prepared to wait.

Positives - trolley was clean and driver was incredibly friendly. Gave a lot of information about the area. It is certainly something you utilize to learn a lot of about the city.
Negatives - we traveled during New Years. The trolley was packed. We could not sit with each other. Many other patrons had to wait for the next trolley because there was no space. Many stops people said they had been waiting for 25 minutes. Truth be told, unless you have young children or a physical issue you are quicker to simply walk.
Private Tour of Savannah's Historic District, Isle of Hope & Bonaventure
Greatest Tour in Savannah

A GREAT TOUR. There were 3 of us and we all enjoyed the tour. We did 2 other tours in Savannah and this one was the best! We were picked up and returned to our hotel. Dan, our tour guide, was great. He had personal knowledge of Savannah and took us places it would have been difficult to get to on another tour. This one went beyond the 22 Squares and showed us other interesting areas of Savannah. I'd do this tour again!

We had a great time with Mark. He was very informative while being very entertaining. He has a great way of telling you the history of the squares. I'm not a history "person" but sure did love his way of telling me. Thank you Mark, great time!!!

Stroll with a Local through Savannah's Historic District
, Sep 2019
Bonnie's knowledge of the history of Savannah was impressive. Also her background in performing theater showed via her presentation skills. We could have listened to her all day! Twice during our tour, Bonnie's counterparts (likely competitors) passed by us with compliments about our chosen tour guide! Unlikely skill: Bonnie's ability to walk backwards (facing us while talking) for most of the 3 hour tour!

This house is one of the finest examples of Southern Gothic Revival Architecture in America today. If Savannah had plantation homes to tour, this certainly would be at the top of the list! In use today, as the Parish House for St. John’s church, this is not a museum, which allows you to experience the home. The home features a wraparound porch adorned with ornate ironwork. The most expensive house in Savannah during the 19th century, the details of architecture are amazing. The interior of the home features black walnut woodwork, ornate crown molding, sliding pocket doors, a winding staircase and more. Need a rest? Have a seat on the sofa.
During the Civil War in 1864, General Sherman used this house as Headquarters, at the invitation of Charles Green.

We visited Savannah for a friend’s weekend. It was cold and rainy - perfect setting for a creepy crawl. Pamela led our group with interesting stories at 4 pubs with historical Savannah background throughout. I would have enjoyed a bit more time at the pubs but that would have required a longer tour.
We were hoping for more history and less waiting on the 'drinkers & smokers', which delayed us at each stop. Our tour guide, Marissa, was fabulous & we really enjoyed her presentation and humor! So much so, that we would hire her as a personal tour guide!
What we didn't care for was the inconsiderateness of the smokers in the group (who could have stayed in the back), the hen-party that was late by 20 minutes and we waited for them, then those that dawdled instead of keeping up with the group. Tour was great, inconsiderate group members were the issue for us.
Tour itself was fun and even informative as we strolled the streets of the historic district in the evening, stopping at pubs for refills and bathroom breaks.
Excellent job Marissa!

Dawn was an excellent tour guide, extremely knowledgeable and even sang a medley of Johnny Mercer songs at his gravesite. She explained all about the meanings of grave “art”. All 4 of us enjoyed the experience.
Our guide, Laura, was so knowledgeable and told so many fascinating stories. She knew everything about the cemetery and it was obvious that she loved sharing what she knew. Highly recommend this tour with Laura as your guide. Well worth the cost, too.
